When they finished watching, I thought they wouldn't go home yet because of their mischief; they might still disturb us. But it seems an angel whispered to them and told them to give us peace, so they bid us goodbye and left.
"Oh," I handed my laptop to Cyrus.
He smiled as he took it. It was as if what I asked him to do was so easy. I mean, what we're going to do! Because he's going to help me... No, he's the one helping.
We're here now at the back of the apartment, sitting on the cloth he laid out on the grass. I didn't want to be here because the grass poking my skin is irritating. But he said he wanted to stargaze with me, so I agreed.
It's dark now, and the air feels refreshing.
"Do you want some food delivered?" He asked me.
I moved closer to him while he was holding the laptop, which was already loading. He immediately leaned on me, but I didn't complain anymore. He even slightly squeezed my arm, so I gave him a look, but he just smiled.
"We just finished eating," I said.
It's true because when Sai came home a few minutes later, Mawi and Angel also came home together. Angel even saw the mess in the kitchen, so she almost gave me a death stare.
He chuckled. "Maybe you still want to eat, you know," he scratched his head.
I sniffed and looked up at the sky. "Maybe I'll eat you," I joked.
He laughed at what I said, so I glanced at him. He raised his eyebrow but had a smile on his lips.
"Just kidding," I added.
Because he might suddenly take it seriously!
He then placed the laptop on his side. He adjusted his position to face me. Now I'm getting nervous! What I said was just a joke, right?!
He held my hand and gently brushed both sides of my cheeks. I looked straight into his eyes, and I could see the slight movement of his Adam's apple as if he was trying to suppress something.
I bit my lip. I feel like I'm being too flirtatious!
"Do you want to?" He asked mischievously.
"Huh?"
He chuckled, then winked at me. "Do you want to?"
Eat him?! Like what the hell! It was just a joke!
I raised my brow, pretending not to understand. "What?"
"Eat me," he replied nonsense.
"Idiot!" I exclaimed.
I lightly slapped him, and he laughed. I moved away from him slightly because I could already feel the temperature rising. Like an idiot!
"Baby.. If you want, you can tell me immediately. I have no problem; I'm willing to give myself--"
I hit him with the slipper on my side, so he stopped.
"Just kidding!" I said irritably.
He laughed and pointed at my face.
"Baby, you're blushing already! Damn, you're beautiful!" he flirted.
I just looked away. There he goes again with his flattery. He's really good at it! I wonder how many girls he's said those words to? I wonder how many of us there are?
Why is my mindset like this again?!
I looked up at the moon. "Maybe you've fooled many people, that's why you're good at fooling," I accused.
I heard him sigh and exhale, so I looked at him.
"Is that true?" I asked irritably.
Why am I getting annoyed? First of all, we're already broken up! We don't have a label anymore, so why am I acting like this again?!
He sniffed and moved closer. "I'm not fooling you," he moved my hair away, "I'm just stating a fact," he said softly.
Here he goes again, putting his arm around my waist!
"Stating a fact," I murmured like a child and rolled my eyes.
He moved closer and quickly kissed my cheek.. my jaw.. the side of my nose and my temple.
I turned away again and looked up at the sparkling stars. I could still feel his breath on my ear, but I didn't hesitate to give him a look.
"I now understand why Tita Claire prefers to look at the moon rather than the stars," he said.
He still had his hand on my waist, so I slowly faced him. His face was very close to mine. He was also looking up at the sky, observing the stars and the moon. So I smiled and looked at the moon too.
The twinkling of the stars and the moonlight are so beautiful.
"The moon is beautiful compared to the numerous stars because although the stars look good when they're numerous in the sky, the moon is alone yet still looks beautiful," he explained.
I smiled because he was right when I asked Mama why not the stars? She said because the moon, even if it's alone, still manages to stand out.
I nodded while still looking up at the sky. I could still feel his hand holding mine.
"You were my moon, and you gave light to my night," he whispered.
The strong wind blew, causing me to hug myself. He looked at me and hugged me from the side.
"You're so nice to hug," he said sweetly.
He hugged me tighter, as if I were a pillow beside him, and he really enjoyed hugging me. I just let him do what he wants.
He let go of the hug. "Let's do this," he pointed to my school work.
I wanted to complain and stay in his embrace, but it's not right to prioritize being flirtatious!
So I nodded and looked at him, who was now starting to type.
I moved closer to him. "Let me do it," I snatched my laptop from him.
He didn't pay attention to me and avoided my laptop.
"Cyrus," I called out threateningly.
He sniffed and faced me. "I'll put my other ideas, and then you can put yours," he said.
He started typing again, and I didn't argue with him anymore. Let him do whatever he wants with his life. I also don't understand what El is sending anyway.
"Just double-check it," he said.
He was still staring at the screen of my laptop and typing quickly. So instead of looking at the stars and the moon, I looked at him.
