C66 sixty six

"You're not done yet?" He threw at me.

I applied some lipstick before he glanced my way. Leaning against the door frame, his hands were in his pockets, one leg casually crossed over the other.

"Just a moment, okay? I'm still fixing myself up," I replied irritably.

Returning my attention to the blush on, I dabbed on a bit more. I didn't want to look like I'd been punched in the face while walking.

He chuckled. "Oh, don't get annoyed. I was just asking, Baby," he said affectionately.

I tilted my head to check my makeup in the mirror.

"Is it okay?" I asked, pointing to my face. "Not too thick or weird-looking, right? Be honest so I can fix it. I feel like my eyebrows are too thick," I added, stepping closer to the mirror.

He nodded. "Yeah, it's fine," he replied with a smile.

"You're probably just saying it's fine so we can leave quickly," I accused.

He pouted. "You arrange for almost an hour. I don't know why you even arrange and do that in your face. If in the first place, you are so pretty. You don't need to fix yourself up, or you might melt under the stares of other guys," he teased.

I rolled my eyes. "You're teasing me again! Okay, I'm done," I said, laughing.

He chuckled. "Baby, I'm not teasing you. I'm just stating a fact."

There he goes with 'stating facts' again.

"Stating fact," I murmured.

I returned the rest of my makeup to my purse. Luckily, I brought some for touch-ups!

"Let's go," he said.

He waited for me to approach him.

"There you go again, holding me like I'm going to fly away!" I joked.

He just tightened his grip around my waist, smiling mischievously. I rolled my eyes instead of scolding him. Who wouldn't falter under his gaze anyway?!

"By the way, Tomorrow come with me. Lavilla's Reunion." He said.

I paused before entering the elevator. He pulled me in so I could enter since his words hadn't registered in my mind.

"H-huh?" I asked nervously.

He pouted. "Tomorrow is the Lavilla's reunion. I'm taking you because you're soon to be a Lavilla again, right?"

I swallowed nervously. My mind stopped processing his words like ice freezing my brain.

"Why are your hands shaking?" he asked. "You don't want to?" He let go of my hand. "You don't want to marry me?"

"Are you proposing like this?" I asked irritably.

His brows furrowed. "No, I'm just asking if you want to marry me or not," he clarified.

I slapped his arm. "That's almost the same thing! How terrible!"

He held my hand. "If I were to propose to you, I'd make it beautiful," he said with a smile.

I looked at him in annoyance. "Nuisance," I said before walking away.

I didn't expect him to ask like that! I wish he hadn't asked at all! Not to be picky, but I'm a woman! I do have a dream, like in fairy tales, he should propose with at least some effort, but he just asked suddenly! Okay, it would be fine without the balloons or anything, but at least he could have made it more formal... I mean, even if he just sweetened his voice! That would have been okay with me, but it's just annoying the way he asked.

But it's fine.

"Baby," he called as we got into his car.

I turned to him. "Hmm?" was all I said.

"Are you mad?" he asked seriously.

He started the car, and I saw him nervously swallow. I sniffed and smiled at him before shaking my head.

"I'm just upset because I'm a girl, Cyrus. I have a certain way I want a man to ask me, especially when it's about marriage. Don't mind it," I said, smiling. "But as for you, it was fine for me."

I saw him grip the steering wheel tightly before biting his lip.

"Are you blushing?" I teased.

He looked away, and I covered my mouth, pointing at him.

"You are!" I teased.

He chuckled. "Okay, fine," he admitted, blushing.

"Jerk, really?" I laughed. "Oh yeah! You are blushing!"

"Baby, Please. Don't tease me or you might not like it if I tease you,"

I raised my brows "Why wouldn't I be happy?" I asked curiously.

I saw his jaw move before he burst into laughter. His biceps tightened even though he was wearing a long-sleeve polo; I could still see them. He turned to me before returning his gaze to the road.

"Selene," he called seriously. "Do you want to get us marrie--"

I widened my eyes and lightly hit his arm.

Why is this such a big deal to me?!

But why not?! I'm a woman! There's nothing wrong with wishing for a beautiful proposal, right?

"Oh, come on! I told you not to tease me," he laughed. "Hey, are you mad?" he asked nervously.

I turned to him before shaking my head.

"No,"

I saw him grip the steering wheel tightly because of the sudden change in atmosphere.

"I'm just kidding!" he said with a laugh.

I gave him a glare. "Where are we going?" I changed the subject.

He handed me my sling bag.

"Put your stuff in there,"

I nodded "thanks,"

"Where are we really going, Cyrus?" I asked again.

Because he only said we're going on a date but he didn't say where, and of course, being Cyrus, I agreed immediately.

"I don't want us to go on a date like eating at a restaurant. I want something else,"

"So, what's the answer to my question in what you said?" I asked sternly.

He chuckled slightly, shaking his head before glancing at me.

"I want to go to Enchanted Kingdom. So yeah, There." He smiled.

I stared at him with a wide smile while looking at the road.

"Really?!"

He nodded "Do you want to go there too?" he asked.

I nodded "Of course!" I excitedly answered.

Who wouldn't be excited to go to Enchanted Kingdom? Maybe those afraid of heights. Who wouldn't be excited if Cyrus Elio is there?!

"Really?" He laughed.

I nodded "I've said it several times already," I sarcastically answered.

He just chuckled.

With every passing moment, I just watched him driving. I looked around at the leaves on the trees that were swaying with the wind.

"How many times have you been here?" I asked in amazement, scanning the surroundings.

I already saw the towering rides! There were also many people around. Teenagers, families, and couples taking pictures.
