C17 Together

It's been 1 month since I answered Cyrus. I still haven't met Tita Alejandra and Tito Armando again because they temporarily went home to Pampanga because something was arranged regarding business.

Sometimes his schedule is different from mine, so we discussed that if our entrance time is not the same, he should not drop me off because I don't want it to affect our studies either.

He also introduced me as his girlfriend to his friends like he really is proud! It's heartwarming that every time he mentions me as his girlfriend, he has a wide smile on his lips and twinkling eyes. Sai, Jake, Izi, Ben, Wendrix and Hugo were not even surprised because there was no sign of surprise on their faces as if they expected it.

At home, we sometimes ate at a nearby restaurant or something. He is still clingy as usual and a very possessive man but I like it.

But I didn't expect that he has a side that when I wake up in the morning, he will open to the one who is cooking or maybe finished cooking. I also didn't expect him to know anything regarding our research paper topic, so he was the one who did what others didn't understand in the study.

"You really don't want to eat rice?" he asked.

I nodded and looked at my filler. I'm getting stressed with too many reviews.

"Just an egg sandwich," I replied sparingly.

I don't look up at him because I'm so stressed, how can you review these constitutions and civilization and geography at the same time. I've been reading it for a while now and I've almost memorized it, so I'm even more confused.

He immediately sighed so I looked at him.

We have been like this for almost three days. I'm crazy about the reviewer while he's also crazy about feeding me.

"I'm really sorry, I have a lot to do so we can't bond," I said with a snort.

We are here at the Canteen.

He moved a little and patted me on the back and slowly moved.

"It's fine," he promised softly. "Both of us are studying and we can't prioritize bonding in other places than focusing on studying,"

"When is your exam?"

I hugged him and took the edd sandwich, I also offered it to him and took a small bite before winking at him.

It's just stupid.

"Next Next week, baby," he replied softly.

"Aren't you under pressure? Because next week is mine, I feel like I'm going to go crazy. You? You should do advanced reading so you won't go crazy when the exam is coming up,"

He laughed "I'm only crazy about you," he said crisply.

I glared at him, "What I'm saying is serious, eh,"

He chuckled "I'm serious with you," winked.

"I don't know about you," I said excitedly.

"I'll just help you review," He promised with a smile.

He took my cattleya and loosened his grip and slightly faced me so that I could not see my notes.

He smiled "In Article III of the bill of right give at least two specific protections against abuse of state power,"

I pouted "A right against searches and seizures without a warrant issued by a judge," I answered.

"What does that mean?" Sai asked curiously.

I turned to them and they smiled at me one by one and sat down in front of us.

"Just leave us, Selene is reviewing!" Cyrus is irritated by pimping them.

"It's stupid! We'll just listen! We don't have a seat anymore," said Hugo.

"What does that mean?" Izi turned to me.

"Just don't go too deep into the explanation," Wendrix said with a laugh.

"Just smooth it out, Yoreh," Jake said.

"Can you guys not mess around here?" Cyrus said irritatedly.

"It's okay," I turned to Cyrus.

He just raised an eyebrow at me and snorted.

"How to unsee this!" Sai pointed at Cyrus who was snorting.

Hugo laughed "That's the only thing,"

I laughed because of their reaction.

"As I said ' A right against searches and seizures without a warrant issued by a judge ' that's what is in the search warrant, they must focus on specific locations or items, they cannot arrest for other reasons. " I explained simply.

"Ah," they nodded.

"How about there is an arrest warrant for me that is about drugs but what they found in the house is not a drug, are they going to arrest me?" Jake said

I shook my head "Any specific items as long as they are listed in the warrant, that's what the police should focus on,"

They nodded again as if amazed.

"What if someone told the police that I had drugs in the house then they let me in there but there was no warrant and then there were no drugs either. It's like a fool who told the police and accused me. What's wrong with that?" Izi asked

"It's called an illegal search, right?" Ben turned to me.

"Yes," I nodded.

I turned to Izi "That's illegal search and seizure. If by chance that's what happened, you have the right to sue the police who did it. Besides, you'll still receive some money because according to federal law, though, you can also receive money damages, and even have your attorney's fees paid, if you are the victim of an illegal search and seizure."

"So you mean the police are not allowed to make arrests when a non-specific item is found?" Izi asked curiously.

I nodded again "Yes, I suppose they have a tip that is completely illegal in your house, they first need to bring a search warrant regarding it. But even without a warrant of arrest or what, they can still make an arrest. Just like when they witness that the person pretended to have stolen or killed. They can arrest that person even without an arrest warrant,"

"Tangna, Breathe Wendrix!" Jake teases Wendrix who seems to have just found out what I'm talking about.

"Are you going to be a lawyer?" Hugo asked seriously.

I shook my head, "I'm going to be a teacher, but I'm majoring because it's Social Studies where constitutions come in,"

"Another example," I turned to Cyrus to speak.

He raised an eyebrow at me. Yes, he said two things.

"A right against self-incrimination," I said.

They didn't speak as if they were still waiting for my explanation.

"Here in ' a right against self incrimination ' is self incrimination because it is pretending that a policeman forced me to tell the court that I was guilty and that policeman threatened my life to people close to me. So there is a right against self incrimination where no one accused can testify for himself,"

"Ahhhh," they nodded at the same time.

I was a little embarrassed because some people changed our behavior.

"One more!" Sai promised.

"Shut up!" Cyrus said angrily and hit his friend.

"Can't anyone be sued like this?" Ben said with a laugh.

"I don't know anymore," I laughed and scratched the back of my neck. "Duh, I'm not going to be a lawyer but that is included in Article III of the bill of rights which is ' a right to freedom of speech or expression' In other words we or you have the rights to express your opinion,"

"At least I don't want to leave. What you're saying makes my stomach turn, Yoreh," Wendrix laughed and stood up.

We laughed.

"Get away!" Cyrus drove them away. "Selene can't review properly because of you idiots" Cyrus joked.

"Olol! Besides Selene's yard, we're going to be late for the next class!" Sai yelled at him.

"Come in," I said.

"I have 10 more minutes here," replied Cyrus and turned to his watch.

"Come in," I repeated.

He ran his fingers through his hair and looked at me gently.

"You fool Cyrus come on!" Ben laughed.

Cyrus just looked at him evilly.

I immediately laughed, "Alright, bring that in," I pointed out to Cyrus.

"Your wish is my command," said Jake.

They stood Cyrus up and dragged him. Cyrus even insulted them.

"Tangina! Yes!" Cyrus shouted at his friend. "Baby, Review well. I'll pick you up later, alright? I'll just text," He smiled goodbye and kissed me on the forehead.

His friends shouted and cheered him. They left me alone and blushing because of the stares of the other students.

When my break time was over, I went to my next class. Angel and I are not together because he took a different major and Mawi and I are not together because he is from a different school!

I just arranged to stand here in front of the waiting shed because Cyrus' last message to me was that I should just wait for him here because he was taking care of something else.

The sky was getting dark and the wind blowing on my face stole my attention. A few students were next to me and were passing by.

I took out my cell phone to call him but his cell phone was turned off.

One...two hours passed and he was still gone.

I'm worried where is he? I'm not worried about how I'm going to get home, I'm worried about whether he's okay. I was taken back by the lightning drawing in the sky. It was followed by one... two... three more times before the big raindrops finally poured down.

I took out the cellphone again to try to call him again but as I expected no one answered.

I hugged myself because of the cold, I didn't bring an umbrella because I was just too heavy.

I almost panicked when my cell phone suddenly rang. It was wrong, but I was saddened to see Mawi's name flashed on my screen.

"Mawi..." I said shakily.

I hugged myself tighter.

"Go home," he said worriedly.

"S-si Cyrus," I stammered.

I heard her sighed "He went home a while ago at the hotel I saw him..." She said.

My eyes immediately widened! He's safe thank G!

"With...other girl...while snaking his arm around her waist," He said clearly worried.

I frowned and slowly loosened my embrace.

It was like cold water was poured on me because of what I heard. I straightened up and hugged myself again as a strong wind hit me again.

Even though I wanted to stop thinking immediately and jump to the conclusion, I thought.

Was he angry because I forced him to enter their next class?

Is the girl with her is... Akia?

I hope Mawi was mistaken!
