C2 Chapter 2: Welcome to the Vampire World (II)

Maybe it was a little hot, or maybe she was just too tired; Olivia actually drifted off to sleep.

"Get up!" The person next to her kicked her, and Olivia opened her confused eyes and looked at the person in front of her.

The man in front of her froze for a moment and suddenly grinned wickedly.

"Just looking at you in this daze gives me an appetite; why don't I enjoy it first?" Said the man with a look of impatience, reaching for his pants as he spoke.

Olivia's eyes widened, and she immediately shrank to the side, even though she had nowhere else to run; luckily, she had some sense, and she saw what appeared to be a pair of scissors next to her; she immediately and quietly took them in her hand.

God seemed to be favoring her, and another man pulled him away.

"What are you doing? This is our gold mine; as long as any noble has his eye on her, we don't know how much money we'll be rewarded with when the time comes, and that's enough money for you to hire hundreds or thousands of prostitutes. But those nobles are very picky; they don't want anyone who isn't fresh and clean."

"Tsk." The man sighed regretfully but eventually gave up.

"Fuck off," as if to vent his frustration, the man kicked Olivia straight to the ground.

Olivia knew that the cab of this truck wasn't low, so she fell straight to the ground.

Feeling as if she had broken a bone, Olivia gritted her teeth and barely managed to stand without a word.

The back of the truck hooted and hollered as many more girls came down; they were herded like ducks to the front door of the luxury hotel, the back door of the hotel; after all, lowly humans like them had no business entering the hotel through the front door.

Olivia took advantage of the break in her walk to raise her head and survey the tall buildings that towered straight in front of her.

The neon lights in front of her eyes were so bright that she could barely open them, but she was thankful that the aesthetics of this world weren't much different from those of Earth, and she could still tell at a glance that this hotel was the kind of place that only famous aristocrats were qualified to enter.

Like invisible rats in the gutter, the pile of freshly minted childish girls walked into the hotel through the back door.

Olivia was thankful that because of her outstanding looks, she was at the front of the pack of rats, followed by two men who didn't move an inch from her and now seemed bent on making a lot of money through her, and therefore didn't dare to relax in the least for fear that she would run away.

Olivia let out a bitter laugh; she didn't even know what the hell she looked like to make these traffickers baby her so much.

What she didn't know was that in this world, because it was the world of vampires, all beauty was modeled after the vampire's noble status. There was a consensus that the more beautiful a person was, the nobler their status was, and it was obvious that beautiful looks were not something a humble human could possess, and even if they did, they would eventually be reduced to toys for the nobles to play with at will.

All the girls were lined up, and beside them, there was a seductive and gorgeously dressed woman with bright red lips who was looking at the group of humans in front of her with a smile on her face who could bring her money.

Olivia stood at the forefront, also quietly sizing up the woman, pondering whether she was human or vampire.

This enchanting woman took out a calculator from somewhere, which made her original noblewoman-like posture seem a bit abrupt; after all, how does a calculator look awkward in her hand?

"That's 37 people, 1,000 dragon coins each, for a total of 37,000 dragon coins."

"Wait," Olivia winks at the man beside her; she recognizes it as the man in the driver's seat." Emma, look at this one. Isn't she particularly iconic and beautiful? I think she's worth ten thousand alone, or at least a few times that if she could be spotted by any aristocrat."

The attractive woman gave him a light sideways kiss before lazily shifting her gaze back to Olivia.

Honestly, to her, these women were paid by the numbers, and she'd never taken a close look at what they looked like; after all, what could a shitty human look like. But since Wyatt was so convinced, she reluctantly took a look at them.

When her gaze shifted to Olivia, Olivia visibly felt her eyes light up as if she had picked up a large sum of money.

Emma hadn't wanted to be near these disgusting-smelling humans; she just wanted to pay up and leave in a hurry, but she had other ideas now.

Fighting back the unpleasant odor, Emma moved closer to Olivia, then lifted Olivia's chin in her soft, seemingly well-pampered, delicate hands.

She narrowed her eyes, sizing up the brilliant woman in front of her.

Emma thought to herself. Beauty doesn't even begin to describe the person in front of her, and if she hadn't been able to feel that peculiarly human warmth through her hands and barely smelled the sweetness of the girl's blood in front of her from that unpleasant odor, she would have even suspected that the girl in front of her was the child of a certain tulip duke.

She was just so good-looking, and it was funny how she still wore clothes that smelled of men's sweat in the cold, clothes that barely wrapped around her petite frame, and big golden eyes with a hint of fear but not wanting to reveal that she was scared.

Emma ran her tongue over her teeth and suddenly burst out laughing.

"Fifty thousand dragon coins."

As soon as Wyatt, who had been waiting apprehensively, heard these words, his pupils suddenly contracted as if he couldn't believe it, and he immediately exchanged glances with the companion next to him, forcing down his inner snickers with a hint of trembling in his voice.

"Emma, you know this girl is more than that, she ......". Wyatt was about to continue bargaining, but he immediately stopped when he came into contact with Emma's eyes.

While the vampire in front of him was able to control his desires well enough not to choose humans to feed on, Wyatt didn't feel like he should give an inch just to provoke the other man.

He had worked with the other party for so long without knowing their true identity, and his intuition told him that the other party was not to be messed with.

Emma nodded, assured that the other woman knew what she was doing; then she clapped her hands, and several maids dressed as maids came out of the rooms on either side of her.

"Take her over there, wash her down, get rid of the fleas and frostbite, and bring her into the room."

Olivia said nothing. She could clearly feel the coldness of the other woman's fingers when Emma touched her cheek earlier, and although it was certainly cold outside now, the hotel was still gently warmed by the air conditioning.

Besides, no matter how you think about it, that temperature doesn't seem like the body temperature a person should have.

She made no attempt to resist, and even when she felt she was being bargained for as if she were goods, she was smart enough to remain silent.

Right now, she needed time to properly digest all that she had encountered; after all, she had been in this world for less than twelve hours.
