C16 THE SURFING SHARKMAN

We were no longer in the Obelisk space, but instead, we were transported, or more precisely, teleported to another place, somewhere in the middle of the seas when the mountain space suddenly turned into the oceans.

When I floated to the surface of the seas, I couldn’t find Kay anywhere, so I scanned the seas around me to look for him.

After swimming around aimlessly for a day suddenly a huge tidal wave rose from the seas a short distance behind me and riding on the wave was a monstrous humanoid Shark about 100-meter in length covered in reddish blood, and on its head was a missing eye and its chest was dotted with many large scars, probably from multiple bullet wounds.

The monster shark’s resemblance to the Sharkman I almost killed in the Obelisk space, was uncanny, except for the fact that it was quite impossible for the shark to have grown so much in a day at least according to the logic that we were accustomed to.

However, after my arrival in this world, there was more than one instance where situations and circumstances defied logical explanations.

Then the monster shark made a loud scream which turned the seas blood red as something was slaughtering the creatures that surrounded the beast and it seemed the shark was somehow feeding on the blood, as it grew to twice its previous bulk.

The shark’s sudden growth in size was an eye-opener for me and it proved that my thoughts on what was impossible really didn't mean much at all, and the monster shark could very well be Sharkman himself.

Suddenly a dozen large flying balloons which carried what appeared like airships appeared in the sky before the monster shark.

I was stunned to find flying ships in this world and perhaps this world wasn’t as primitive as I first assessed.

There were humans on the airships who made signs and gestures which were reminiscent of Castelle’s casting of his magic, and like his spells, large, illuminated circles filled with strange shining hieroglyphs and drawings appeared in the skies above the shark.

Perhaps those humans on the airships were Magi and they were casting spells against the monstrous shark.

The first wave of the magic cast from the balloon airships were icy blizzards which dropped continuously from their magic circles onto Sharkman which almost froze him together with the surrounding seas, as he quickly dived over to where I was.

The blizzard magic from the airships homed in on the shark and froze him eventually.

Unfortunately, I was within the coverage of the ice magic as an icy chill soon went into my body and I was frozen in the seas.
