C2 Chapter 2

Jaëden William

- Get ready quickly, Jaëden, we only have a few minutes left or your father will show up and you know better than anyone that he hates being late.

-Yes, yes, ma'am.

-I remind you that I'm your mother Mr so it's yes mom

The one who speaks is my mother, she is sitting on the dining table luxuriously dressed, with the "perfect" hairstyle and a make-up that does not overflow;

And yes, this is her daily routine; she is finishing her lunch. and continues

pass me my bag which is on the chair

One of the servants executed.

Here you have a better mine let's go there says she with indifference.

***

My mother is driving and I'm in the cab. She doesn't like to be driven, probably because she likes to control everything and can't stand the idea of giving up the care of her life to someone else; we're on our way to my father's company, he asked us to come to his company today for a meeting or a celebration of some kind.

All I memorized was that "you have to smile and act like we are a family beaming with joy."

Finally his meeting goes well and the three of us go home this time but with a driver.

Once I get home I only have 30 minutes to rest before my manager comes to visit me and take me to the studio to do a recording; manager my parents don't know they think he's an academic elder or something. My parents don't know that I'm doing music, if they found out it would be the end of my "music career". As young as I am, I love music and I make a lot of money with it, although I obviously don't need it. In fact I sing for people and they pay me; better said, people can compose their music and give it to me to sing. I love to sing and I have a sweet voice without boasting, that's why I'm very much solicited via my manager but of course these people for whom I sing don't know my real identity (physical), only my manager Blandine and I know about that and I can have several voices so I have a lot of money. Let's say that it's an entertainment for me since I'm almost all the time locked up in this "manor".

Mr. William: but where is this boy? Rosine is going to get me this kid right away I have a few words to say to him

-Mrs. William: but what is it about darling? We can talk about it first you know!

M. William: there's nothing to talk about, bring him back here right now

Mrs. William hastened to carry out the order of her husband.

- jaëden!!!

Your dad is looking for you and he is very unhappy. Can't you just do what you are told to the letter? Not to change our moods every time?

They both go to the living room where Mr. William is

Mr. William: come on my friend, your stay with us is suspended for a long time, prepare your belongings because you will move to Nkongsamba from now on. You will live with your uncle.

Jaëden: But what could I have done to make you do this to me, Dad? While we are in the middle of the school year? (While having tears in his eyes)

Mrs. William: That's right!

What did he do?

Mr. William: so I'm being interrogated in my own house! Is that it?

You've got to be kidding me!

You have until tomorrow, sir, and then we'll see if your ideas are clear.

Mrs. William didn't dare to say anything more because knowing the temperament of her spouse, to dispute it will only make things worse.

Jaëden: (while sobbing) but daddy, please, at least give me the reason.

Mr. William: Well, you want to know? It's your fault for causing me too much loss. All the plans I have for you, you just throw them away and you're going to join the music? What a shame for our family! So young you are but you already give me headaches. Well, I'm going to hold an important position in the government this year and my family is going to be investigated, so I wouldn't want you to sully me and create a scandal with the mess that characterizes your life, which is why you're going to slip away for a long time.

A silence reigned after these long tirades. Mrs. William supported her mami in this decision. Both of them always aspire to more glory in this life even if it means sacrificing their child.

***

The next day I was already in a private jet in the direction of Nkongsamba with my bags and without a word of goodbye, not to say a last goodbye from my parents. Not that I would have wished it but I am still human and this abandonment does not please me even if I "hate" them.

This is the life I lead...

***

The pilot lands in a greedy space and a car comes to get me and drives me to I don't know where. When I arrived at my destination, someone opened the door and I got out. A lady of about 50 years old welcomes me and directs me to a room and I settle in, I guess it's mine. Frankly I hate this life and I would give anything to be simple. In such a short time I have been cut off from a world. My manager my friends my school.... A knock at the door brings me out of my thoughts

- come in

- come give me a hug my nephew says my uncle smiling it's been a long time

In fact my uncle is warm and welcoming and I already feel at ease he is the sanest person in my family. The house is still great, maybe not like ours, luxurious and radiant but I feel comfortable there. And everyone in the house seems nice.

I'm not used to such an environment but I'm starting to appreciate it.

In the evening I eat at the table with my uncle; he is a widower and his children are all abroad. Afterwards I say good night to my uncle and go to sleep.
