Marcia was holding Jullian's hand with both of hers keeping her head and eyes to the ground, her body angled towards Jullian, as if using him as a shield.

Jullian, his eyes fixed on the table in front of them, said evenly to his parents, “Thank you for dinner, I'll see her out.”

Marcia, her voice soft and timid, murmured, “Thank you for having me,” before hurriedly leaving the table
