C20 He Entered the Seal Tower!.

The Seal Tower? Lin Bei had never heard of such a thing!

Yet, if the scroll's descriptions were accurate, he had no other choice but to venture there.

The promise of inheritance detailed on the scroll was irresistibly alluring!

A smile played on Lin Bei's lips as a sense of ease and joy washed over him.

His 700 Luck Points had indeed brought him an astonishing surprise!

But before embarking on his journey, he needed to examine the capabilities of his newly acquired loot.

These treasures might just enhance his Attributes, aiding him in overcoming the upcoming challenge.

Eagerly, he retrieved the last two pieces of his spoils.

They were the White Ape Ring and the Heaven-Connecting Leg Guard!

White Ape Ring

Type: Accessory Ring

Heaven-Connecting Leg Guard

Quality: Silver

Type: Heavy Armor Leg Guard

Attributes:

Constitution +10

Strength +5

Agility +3

Effect: Chance to gain a 10% defense boost when hit, lasting 3 seconds!

Equipment Requirement: Level 15, Heavy Armor Professions!

Description: Legend has it that the bones of the White Ape Vajra are incredibly tough, capable of resisting any external force!

These two pieces were precisely what Lin Bei was missing!

It's well-known that a player's Attributes soar when they're fully equipped.

Lin Bei was ecstatic, especially with the All Attributes boost from the ring.

This meant that while others improved three specific Attributes, he enhanced four, gaining an extra six Attribute Points over his peers.

He couldn't be happier!

Now, all Lin Bei needed to complete his gear was a necklace.

"Time to set out!" he declared.

"The Dragon Bone Scroll points to the ultimate destination. I can head straight there!"

Lin Bei gave the scroll another glance, inputting the marked coordinates into his world map, and dashed into the misty depths.

After a grueling half-hour run that left him panting, he vowed to secure a mount if the chance arose.

Not a single low-level monster crossed his path, and the fog around him grew increasingly sparse.

The coordinates were a godsend; without them, he might have doubted his own progress.

Emerging from the fog, the land ahead came into view, shrouded in ominous lightning and thunder.

The sight sent shivers down his spine, a stark contrast to the picturesque South Stream Valley.

They were worlds apart, yet within the same region.

"The destination is just ahead, according to the coordinates," he noted.

Lin Bei inhaled deeply, reexamining the map with a furrowed brow.

"This complicates things," he muttered.

"We've entered the Thunder Zone, yet the tower is nowhere in sight."

"We'll have to locate the tower ourselves."

"We must be wary of the surrounding lightning and avoid being struck."

With that thought, he pressed on, soon stepping onto a land where lightning danced with the clouds.

Bolts struck near Lin Bei, scarring the earth with deep pits, the air heavy with the scent of char.

Then, he halted.

A tall platform in the distance captured his attention, resembling a sundial.

Curiously, lightning seemed to divert or explode above it, rather than striking it directly.

It was an eerie sight.

Lin Bei steadied his nerves and approached swiftly.

Upon closer inspection, he saw the sundial bore a rectangular indentation, perfectly matching the Dragon Bone Scroll in his grasp.

"Incredible! This must be the entrance!" he exclaimed, elated.

He placed the Dragon Bone Scroll onto the sundial, which immediately glowed with a purple aura.

The scroll unfurled, settling into the groove, and began to integrate with it.

As the scroll fully merged, a system alert chimed.

"Congratulations! You have unlocked the Seal Tower using the Dragon Bone Scroll!"

"The Seal Tower is materializing. Please stand by."

The ground shook, and lightning converged above the sundial.

A colossal lightning dragon crashed down, and the sky and earth were engulfed in electric fury.

A nine-story tower, seemingly crafted from obsidian and radiating with thunderous energy, rose before him.

A massive chain wound down the tower, merging into one with the structure.

And there, a swirling vortex door sealed the entrance, resembling an eye watching Lin Bei, its prey.

As the tower emerged, the system's announcement boomed throughout the land!

"Dragon Country Announcement: A player has unlocked the entrance to the Seal Tower in South Stream Valley. All adventurers are urged to make haste. Rich rewards await those who dare!"

"Kind Reminder: The Seal Tower is neither a secret realm nor a dungeon. Thus, the first player to master its challenges will reap all the exclusive rewards. No one else will have this chance. Don't let this opportunity slip away!"

The announcement echoed ten times, ensuring every player in Dragon Country was well-informed.

Yet, all but the players from Misty Village were steeped in gloom.

The South Stream Valley was right on Misty Village's doorstep!

For others to venture there meant braving perilous paths.

With their current might, such a journey was a fool's errand.

The mere thought soured their mood.

Meanwhile, Misty Village's players surged towards the valley, hearts racing with excitement!

Lone wolves and well-oiled teams alike, all who had been vying to outlevel the Beginner Village, now converged on the valley.

The lure of the rewards was irresistible.

Lanxi Valley braced for an impending, blood-soaked tempest.

At the vortex's edge stood Lin Bei, the one who had breached the Seal Tower.

He stepped forward, and the world whirled around him.

Seconds later, the vertigo vanished.

Then, a system prompt chimed in:

"Welcome to the Seal Tower. By entering, you've agreed to face all its trials!"

"Nine floors await, each more daunting than the last. Steel yourself for the ascent!"

"Cheerful Reminder: Conquer the ninth floor, and a singular, mysterious legacy shall be yours!"

As the announcement faded, Lin Bei's eyes adjusted to the sight of a grand, well-lit hall.

Eerily, it was surrounded by phantoms flickering between shades of black and white, their wild hair framing malevolent faces.

Their crimson eyes fixed on Lin Bei, the intruder, as they howled and charged.

Black Devil

Type: Demonic Beast of the Seal Tower

Level: 15

Attack: 95 (95%)

Defense: 92 (95%)

HP: 1,650/1,650 (95%)

Abilities: Ghost Possession, Soul Devouring

Note: Slay 108 Black Devils on the first floor to harness the Blood Soul's power and unlock the path upward.

Lin Bei surveyed the Black Devil's stats and executed a nimble Z-shaped Step, evading their onslaught.

Deprived of their initial edge, the devils posed little threat.

Unsheathing the Blade of God, Lin Bei unleashed a sweeping strike on the clustered devils.

Flames engulfed them, the blade's song ringing true.

Each devil was dealt a grievous blow.

The Blazing Fire Blade's area attack left no devil unscathed, their forms engulfed in searing heat.

The spectacle was nothing short of magnificent.

But the sight that truly thrilled Lin Bei followed; the devils collapsed, their burning forms dissolving into crimson glows that merged with the door to the next level.

The once dull portal now shimmered with a sanguine light.

Lin Bei felt a twinge of frustration.

His All Things Psychic ability was useless now; the creatures had become mere energy to fuel the door's unlocking.

On the bright side, the gear drop rate was promising. Over twenty Black Devils yielded five pieces of Bronze Level equipment.

Alas, none suited Lin Bei.

"No matter, more gear means more trade. I can sell these to Frosty Moon Shadow," Lin Bei mused.

With that, he continued his grim harvest within the tower, his movements growing swifter with each battle.

Soon, he had vanquished every Black Devil on the floor.

As the final devil disintegrated into the door, it swung open to the second level.

Yet, before Lin Bei could step through, a sonorous snore echoed from beyond.

His expression hardened with intrigue. What mysteries did the second level hold?

Without hesitation, Lin Bei stepped into the unknown.
