C9 Return

Lin Fann shook his head in amusement as he watched Guo Yuyan get on the car and leave.

In the past, Guo Yuyan's company worked, this was probably arranged by the old man. He did not care about these things. The purpose of this trip was to heal his injuries, so everything was the same.

Following his childhood memories, Lin Fann arrived at the Haiyun City's slums.

The uneven ground, the mottled iron gates at every door, the clothes hanging from telephone poles, and so on.

A simple smell hit Lin Fann's face and he took a deep breath.

This was where he had grown up as an orphan before he was ten years old.

Following his memories, he found a place to stay in when he was a child, but found that the small courtyard was extremely clean.

Could it be that someone was already living here?

"Hello, may I know who you're looking for?"

Just as Lin Fann was about to open the metal door to see what was going on, he heard the voice of a middle-aged man.

"Uncle Wang?"

Turning around, Lin Fann's eyes lit up: "I'm Lin Fann, I lived here since I was a kid."

Carefully looking at Lin Fann, Wang Jijun couldn't help but adjust his glasses: "Xiaofann? It's really you. Xiaofann, you're back? "

"Uncle Wang, I'm back."

Happy holding Wang Jijun's hand, Lin Fann happily said, "When I was ten years old, I was adopted, I remember it was you, Uncle Wang, who handled it for me."

"In the blink of an eye, fourteen years have passed. Xiaofann, you have already grown up."

Looking at Lin Fann who was a head taller than him, Wang Jijun smiled and said, "I didn't believe him when he said he wanted you as his disciple, but it seems like you are doing well now. I am relieved."

"Uncle Wang, how are aunt and the rest?" When his gaze landed on the yard in front of him, Lin Fann asked again: "There's this yard?"

"Your aunt and the others are all well. Xin Er has already gone to university."

Wang continued to walk into the yard, "As for this courtyard, I have been keeping it for you for the past fourteen years. I just want to have a place to stay when you come back one day, Xiaofann."

"Uncle Wang, thank you."

Looking at the clean room, Lin Fann smiled and said, "I really need to live here for a while after I came back."

Taking out a cheque from his bag, Lin Fann handed it over to Wang Jijun, "Uncle Wang, this is a cheque for one hundred thousand yuan. Take it as the reward for cleaning the house."

"No, no."

When Wang Jijun saw the amount on the cheque, he immediately pushed it back. "I'm just sweeping the floor. Keep the money for yourself, Xiaofann."

"Take it, Uncle Wang. My heart will feel better like this."

The current him no longer had any relatives, so he was already very lucky to be able to find his childhood home.

"Alright, I'll take this one hundred thousand."

Sensing the melancholy in Lin Fann's voice, Wang Jijun nodded and said, "Just take it as the meal fee. Anyway, my family lives next door, so it's fine if you come over for a meal."

"Thank you, Uncle Wang. I'll have to trouble you to follow up."

Looking at the drawing on the wall, Lin Fann's mouth curved into a smile.

Her childhood memories were so beautiful.

Dong dong.

The sound of a gong sounded out, pulling Lin Fann back from his thoughts. Lin Fann frowned and asked curiously, "Uncle Wang, what's wrong?"

"It must be that group of people. Xiaofann, you stay here, I'll go out and take a look."

Hearing the familiar sound of the gong, Wang Jijun's expression changed and he quickly walked towards the door.

Something seemed to have happened?

Seeing Wang Jijun's unsightly expression, Lin Fann quickly followed him.
