Leave her! A deep voice ordered which I quickly recognized as the first guy I saw.

I stood in the middle of a big room facing three guys-looks as if I am on a stage performing and the judges were there to judge me.

My throat became dry and I was shivering, I didn't notice that the place was cold the fear already overclouded me.

They were talking with each other as I stayed quietly looking

"You can come closer, "The voice said again even though I can't see them clearly because of the dim light but I know it was the first guy that came to the room I stayed.

I took a step forward quietly till I got closer-I and looked among those guys if I could see the walking or No the crippled ghost, I couldn't see him.

He entered this room or my eyes are deceiving me wait..he is truly a ghost?? I thought within me and fear shook my entire body.

The thought made my heart beat faster, I am scared of ghosts.

The voice said again"Now listen carefully, I don't repeat words twice, Understood!!"He said in a firm tone.

"I want the truth, I will go easy on you because you are a female, if you fail to provide me what I want then I will treat you like a man," he said in a toneless voice.

The light was shown at me from the top, I couldn't see them but they can see me, it feels I want to sing actually.

I nodded.

"I demand words from you"

"Yes"

"Your name?"He asked

"A..Ava"My voice came out as a whisper.

"Can't you talk loudly or you wanna receive some lashes on your stinky butt before talking? "Another voice said harshly.

My eyes became watery...

A lash hit my back and I fell crying.

Tears came out gushing.

"The guy you played your tricks with and made him escape, "He said quietly with a cold voice.

Believe me!... Believe me!, I...I was just passing on my own, I got to Penrith to start a new life, I was at the coffee shop when I was pressed and I needed to use the toilet and I saw you guys there" I said crying loudly.

Another lash hit my back again, I knew it was over for me, as the hot tears came down.

"I thought he was experiencing what I was passed through with my stepmother, he was begging and crying, I did that also but I always end up being beaten by my stepmother even when am innocent," I said crying even though I don't even know if my words made sense or not.

I didn't make his escape I was just watching you guys and...I don't know him before, I am innocent!! I know nothing about this!! please believe me.

I squeezed my clothes tightly.

"Aren't you his mistress?" another voice asked me

"Mis...Mistress?"I asked with a cracked voice and confused face.

"You don't know Luke, you ain't his mistress, the fuck did you come out to do?" he said angrily banging his fist on the table.

"I don't know all this honestly, I swear on my mother's grave," I said crying.

The guy questioning me heaved a sigh and sat down on the chair tiredly.

There was silence in the room, my mind was messed up. I never expected all this, in fact, I never thought of this at all. The tears rushing down from my eyes could fill a bucket, something I don't know of, I am being punished for it.

Why is life unfair to me?

One of those guys guiding the door ran to meet the guy questioning me and whispered something to him.

He nodded in reply and the guy left-The guy questioning me whispered something to the other guys on the seat and they all stood up.

"Bitch you should be facing the ground and not looking around, "Another voice said.

"If you were to be a man, then you would have lost one of your arms or your left leg," the third voice said.

I quickly faced the ground In order not to get another whipping.

I heard the opening of the door and I saw their legs going out of the room till the door was closed.

Huh, did they forget me or are they going to kill me here "why is my life like this ?"I said crying

Dad even though you didn't care about me I wish you were here to save me.

Why is life this cruel?

I sat on my legs still facing the ground, and cleaned my tears, waiting for me to wake up from this dream.

I heard footsteps coming, Oh God what's happening again should I raise my head or what-I was shaking inside of me

It came closer still I didn't look up. My mind is made up already, anything that wants to happen should happen.

"I thought you are fierce and strong with the way you talked to me the other time, just two lashes made you cry out ocean"

I raised my head and saw the beautiful no!! the ugliest eyes I saw before entering the room.

"Your face is so pale and white like a ghost, between you and I who looks like a crippled ghost," he said and smirked.
