I quickly turned back to see the crippled ghost looking at me dangerously.

Oh shit! This guy is too scary.

"Uhm..I...I was just... actually..."I said swallowing hard.

He was looking at me as if he could see through me, OMG, I felt like I should disappear, who is this guy?

"I SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE," He said in a firm, cold voice that made sent shivers inside.

"You see Crippled ghost when you asked me to leave the other time I don't know where to go since I don't know my way around here so I was trying to follow the path I passed when I was coming and I found myself here," I said rushing my words.

He looked at me for the last time and walked away, then two guys came to me and told me they will take me to my room.

Where were they before? I thought rolling my eyes.

I finally got back to the room.

Okay, Ava what's happening now" I asked myself laughing.

My situation is funny, confused, sad, amazing, dramatic, and whatever I can use to qualify it.

"Ohhh" I shouted in frustration.

I'm emotionally drained right now.

But, what's up with that crippled ghost one minute he is cool the other minutes he is like a wolf.

UNKNOWN POV.

A guy in his late twenties walked inside a room.

"Where the hell did you see that girl?" he asked

"Girl??"I asked with my eyebrows raised.

"How many females do we have here apart from Freya," He said gritting his teeth.

"You mean the girl that was brought here five days ago-I told ya luke escaped through that girl and I think it's planned". I told him for the umpteenth time.

"Whatevs! She pissed me off while in the war room and I saw her beside the drawing, she fucking got some nerves, I saw her using her fingers to trace my drawing, Like what the hell!" he growled.

I was speechless, not knowing how to calm this big baby here. I've been babysitting him for years even though he is older.

Just see the way he is staring at me as if I am the little witch he caught touching the portrait on the wall. I almost rolled my eyes but I dare not. One minute he is jovial and friendly another minute he is deadly dangerous, little things trigger him easily.

Xavier, you have to calm down or ..."He cuts me off.

"Tell her not to cross paths with me, "He said in a final tone.

With that, he left majestically.

All hail the king!! I said in a mimicked voice.

I sighed!

I was wondering how luke escaped, my head is stuck up right now. One of my boys that I told to private background research on Eve or Eva or whatever her name comes inside.

'Boss!"He said.

I poured myself a wine and sat down comfortably to listen to what he had to say. I nodded for him to continue.

"Ava Baker,20yrs old-No mother, and father nowhere to be found, grew up with her stepmother."

"Is that all?"I asked him raising my head.

"Yes boss"

'So you are saying she isn't related to any of the cartels"I asked in a disbelief voice

"We did thorough background research on her and her family, but nothing suspicious."

I requested the documents and I scanned through them, then I dropped them on my table.

"Hmmph, Okay you can go" I said dropping the glass of wine on the table.

"Yes boss," he said leaving the room.

I stood up and walked down my room to the window with my hands crossed at the back.

I laughed wickedly this is interesting, I can't believe ava has nothing to do with Luke.

The reason I wasn't violent with her was that I don't know if she is innocent or not and when she was unconscious, she was scanned with a metal detector and a body scanner, there was no communication device on her or any weird and dangerous objects, she does not even have a phone.

A part of me is saying she is innocent, another side thinking that eats me up is that what if everything is planned already, Luke is very cunny. What if he says she should act like that then he will save her one way or the other?

What if she is pretending?, what if she is innocent?

In those two ways, I must not lose

AVA POV:-

I heard the door open, I scoffed seeing the person that entered. Don't they have courtesy? At least I am a female I will want to have my privacy.

"I want to have a few words with you" his voice brought me to reality.

'All ears" I said

"Tell me your alibi some days to the days of that incident, if you give me a false alibi then prepare yourself to experience hell before death and after death" He said in a strong voice.

'I'm always indoors and don't have anywhere to go except staying in my stepmother's shop. I was sent an errand by my stepmother two days before the day, I went to get foodstuffs when I was coming back rain fell and I hid in an uncompleted building, after the rain stopped I went home, the second day to the day I was thinking about my life when my stepmother told me to watch over the stuff she sundried, I only went out to check it, then the day I escaped from home and boarded a cab to Penrith, I branched at the coffee shop to take coffee before going and I was pressed went to the toilet and met you guys"I explained in a calm and gentle voice.

"So your voice can be this gentle" I heard a voice that I recognize immediately outside the room.
