C3 Can't See

Sometimes, everyone thinks that fate is the one playing with life. However, have you ever thought that fate doesn't want to be blamed either? Whereas if you want to think, all the fate that happens to you, it's because of the mistakes you made before the fate happened to you.

♡♡♡

In the emergency room, there was a mother who was waiting for her child to wake up. And it turned out that after opening his eyes, the child could see nothing but darkness.

"Gifer, are you okay? What hurts, son? Tell me," the mother grasped her only child's hand in a sad manner.

"Me..where..mom? Why is it so dark in here? Is the power out?" after waking up from his critical condition, Gifer asked about his dark vision. He kept asking his mother, hoping she would answer what he had just asked.

Gifer's mother's defense was shattered, the lips that had smiled because her son was awake, instantly faded into pain in the solar plexus and deep sadness.

It felt like she was unable to answer the questions that came out of her son's mouth. Unable to fight the bitter reality of life that seemed to slap his solar plexus.

So tight, so tight, that one drop of clear water fell from his eyes, again and again he cried. Gifer started to get up from his sleeping position and changed to a sitting position.

"Mom, why don't you answer Gifer's question, Mom? Where are you? Why is it so dark, Mom? Gifer can't see Mom and Dad..."

"Shhh!"

Gifer's words were cut off because a finger covered his thick lips. Gifer's mother closed her son's lips with her finger and started hugging Gifer's body tightly. The mother was crying and it could be heard by Gifer.

"Mom, why are you crying?"

"Gifer, I'm fine. But you..." Mom paused her sentence because she couldn't continue. But she still had to say it for Gifer's sake in the future.

"You... I'm sorry, Gifer. The doctor said you can't see anymore," Gifer's mother continued to cry and slowly the hug loosened.

"Ja-Ja-ddi, you mean, I'm blind? I can't see you anymore?"

"No, sweetie. But you can still hear Mommy's voice. If you need help, Mommy and Daddy will always help you and be by your side, dear," the mother stroked her son's silky hair. Meanwhile, Gifer himself had also shed his tears because he was lamenting his fate.

"Mom... why is it like this? Why did this happen to me? Why did God take my eyes, Mom? Aaaakkkhhhh!!! Why is He so mean to me?" After knowing about his situation, Gifer still couldn't accept his fate that he could no longer see like he used to. He started crying and grabbing his own hair, even screaming in frustration after hearing the news, but his mother began to calm him down affectionately, so that his son would not be angry and would accept his current situation. The atmosphere in the all-white room was filled with sorrow and crying from both of them.

Outside the room, his father was still waiting. Gifer's scream was heard from outside the room. Gifer's father was getting sadder hearing the angry scream of his eldest son.

.

Now that Gifer had been transferred to the hospital room, he was sitting on the hospital bed, his back leaning against the pillow. Instantly his memory of the split second when he got into the accident haunted his mind. Occasionally she would close her eyes when remembering how painful it was for the shards of car glass to hit her eyes. He also remembered that it wasn't just him who got into the accident, but there was someone who had hit his car at that time.

Ceklek

The sound of the door opening broke Gifer's mind about the incident. He immediately straightened his body.

"Gifer, the person who hit you is dead. I heard it from the news on television this morning," said his father while stroking his son's shoulder.

"You should be grateful, because God still gave you a second life. Don't be sad, don't be disappointed, and don't be angry anymore," his father continued.

"Yes, Dad," Gifer replied briefly because he was still in a bad mood after the accident.

"Earlier, Raya called me on the landline, she asked how you were doing. She said you had an appointment with her at that time."

"Yes, Father. Because of that rash driving, I got into an accident," The father was surprised to hear it.

"Gifer, if he comes here later, please welcome him well."

"Yes, Father."

Not waiting long, Raya finally came to Gifer's hospital room. She saluted Gifer's father with a smile and handshake.

As if he already knew that Raya only wanted to talk alone with Gifer, the father left the room so as not to disturb their conversation.

"Gifer, what really happened? Why did you get into that accident? And now you're blind? Is that news true Gifer?" Raya pressed Gifer with all kinds of questions.

"Yes, Gifer, I can't see anymore. I'm a blind man. I can't be a good lover for you, I've lost my eyes. And it seems, I won't be able to work anymore. It will be hard for me to read or even type about my own company's stocks," Gifer became a little insecure at having to tell this to his girlfriend.

"What? So, you're really blind Gifer? I can't believe this," Raya couldn't believe what Gifer said. Her hand tried to wave in front of Gifer's eyes which were indeed blind but could not see, but there was no response from Gifer. Then, he withdrew his hand with his hands clenched in anger.

"If that's the case, we better end this relationship, Gifer!!!" Raya snapped at Gifer with a bloodshot face, her eyes wide open and her breathing irregular as if a demon was taking hold of her. She really disliked the idea of being in a relationship with a disabled man, it would be very troublesome for her. Not to mention having to endure the embarrassment of everyone's ridicule, certainly her shopping buddies that she was dating a handicapped man like Gifer.

"Why, Raya? You don't want to accept a blind man like me, do you?" Gifer asked casually to test Raya, whether he meant what he said or was just bluffing.

"If so, so what, Gifer? I don't want to have a boyfriend who has become blind like you! Sorry, this time I want our relationship to end here! What will our children be fed if they find out that their father is blind and can't work?" Raya was very disappointed when she saw her fiancé in the hospital in a state of sightlessness.

"But, honey. Didn't we promise that we would always love until death? Why did you change this time?"

"AKKHH! That was back then, Gifer! Before you got into this accident and went blind! Starting today, we're breaking up! I don't want to have a blind lover like you! Let alone a blind husband! And don't ever contact me again!" After saying that, Raya then left Gifer who was still in a confused state of mind.

Blam!

"Huh...what should I do? I can't do anything anymore without being able to see." Gifer shed his tears.

_

A sunny morning greeted 2 girls who were taking a walk in the Central Jakarta area. Yesterday, they had found lodging, and it was time for them to take a walk through the city of Jakarta by taking the Trans Jakarta Bus. Their destination this time was Monas, they wanted to see how high the tower was and what was inside.

"Vin, the bus is here! Let's get on!" Anggi shouted while hurriedly pulling Belvina's hand to get into the bus.

After they found their seats, Belvina instantly remembered her college days when she used to always take the bus back to her hometown. Belvina looked out the window which was filled with scenery.

"This bus reminds me of Semarang, when I was in college," Belvina suddenly intended to open a conversation with Anggi. Anggi turned her head to the left where Belvina was staring at the window.

"Yes, you often take the bus. I'm from Pati, so it's far away, and if I take the bus, it will take a long time. So I decided to ride a motorcycle instead. Besides, there is no Bus Rapit Transit (BRT) on the Pati-Semarang route," Anggi said, raising both eyebrows slightly with a smile.

"Hahaha, indeed Gi. There is one from Kendal-Semarang and Demak-Semarang, and only the Semarang area has BRT. Uh don't get me wrong, before there was BRT in Semarang, the first one was in Jakarta, you know. Pati doesn't exist, right? Hahahahaha. But here, it seems like buses are really needed, so it's just like us," Belvina's right hand touched Anggi's shoulder and her left hand covered her mouth from holding back laughter.

"Just keep laughing, until you're satisfied." Anggi was annoyed while holding his hands to his chest. Meanwhile, Belvina was still laughing and seeing Anggi's upset expression, Belvina thought it was fun.
