C11 Beat Him Up

Chen Hao was hit so hard that he nearly collapsed.

"You have humiliated the Ghost Fire Gang!"

Baldie lashed out at Chen Hao as he waved his hand, pointing at him. “We have to teach them a good lesson today. Otherwise, what will everyone think about our Ghost Fire Gang? How shall we hold our heads high?“

Chen Hao rubbed his face, feeling frustrated by Baldie’s scolding, even though it was not his fault. He knew better than to argue with Baldie, especially when he was angry.

Everyone in the gang was aware of Baldie’s temper. He hated to be on the receiving end, ever.

Whoever tried to mess with him was in for a hundred times the trouble.

Baldie had a menacing grin on his face as he looked at Liu Laosan and asked, “Who were the two courageous people to lay hands on my brother?”

“I... I don’t know.” Liu Laosan said as he shook his head in denial.

“You don’t know? Really?”

Baldie abruptly got up and punched Liu Laosan’s face without any warning.

Liu Laosan wailed as blood kept flowing non-stop through the gap between his fingers, even if he covered his nose with his hand.

In the next moment, Liu Laosan landed on the table with a thud as Baldie grabbed his hair and punched him again.

Baldie did not hesitate to throw continuous punches at him, which made Liu Laosan wail painfully, making one shudder with fear.

“You still have a chance. Just tell me their names.” Baldie’s gaze made Liu Laosan shiver as he gazed at him sinisterly.

The impact of his powerful punches was clear on Liu Laosan’s face. The big wound on his forehead was clearly visible, along with the cuts and bleeding from almost every part of his body.

“Trust me. I really don’t know.” Liu Laosan’s words came out incoherent from his wounded and swollen lips.

“You'd rather save those people than live your life, huh?” Baldie’s face looked as ferocious as a beast as he raised his eyebrows and glared at Liu Laosan.

“I have no idea who those people are? Please let me go, I beg of you!” Liu Laosan did not think twice before he kneeled down in front of Baldie.

“Go away!”

Baldie punched Liu Laosan’s face after kicking him to the ground.

“Uncle Liu!”

Chung Xinyue, shouted from the crowd. She saw the scene and covered her mouth with fear. Her eyes turned red as tears welled up.

Liu Laosan had always regarded her as a family member. Sometimes, he did not accept her paying for the food. She received encouragement and support from him to perform well in her studies.

But right now, he was being abused by someone in public.

World seemed unfair to her in that moment.

Lin Nan felt an abrupt surge of anger that traveled from his chest to his head.

His eyes turned cold.

Any person would think of him as a devil from the hell.

Liu Laosan was still lying at Baldie’s feet as his gaze swept around with arrogance and dominance. He pressed his foot on Liu Laosan’s face as he said, “All the mess here, is my doing. If you feel wronged, I am still here. You can come back at me.”

Chill ran down everyone’s spine, as they heard Baldie’s provoking words. The surroundings became eerily silent.

No one was courageous enough to make a sound, retaliate, or fight back with him.

A common man who lived hand to mouth would never want to get in trouble with the gangsters.

Moreover, it was not only Baldie, but twenty of them present at that place. If someone was to retaliate, it was as good as throwing themselves in front of a lion.

Baldie had a sly smile as he was aware of what everyone thought. He picked up a baseball bat and pressed it on Liu Laosan’s fingers.

“I will give you a last chance to answer me, okay? Am I generous enough? Hahaha!” Baldie laughed with a wicked expression.

The pressure from the bat on his fingers increased as he laughed.

The cracking sound of finger bones made everyone tremble with fear.

“I don’t know… Ahhh!” Liu Laosan stuck to his words, even if the pain was unbearable for him.

“Why are you so stubborn? Maybe you will be happy to live a crippled life, yeah?”

Liu Laosan, being stubborn, was enough to get Baldie pissed off till he was ready to kill him. He raised the baseball bat and almost hit him.

From the force that he used to wave his bat, Liu Laosan knew that he would be crippled for sure this time.

Everyone watching around gasped in anticipation of what was about to happen. Few of them even covered their eyes to avoid watching anything gruesome.

“Uncle Liu!” Chung Xinyue could do nothing but scream.

A shadow moved quickly in front of Baldie out of nowhere.

The bat hit a person’s hand,

but it wasn’t Liu Laosan’s.

Baldie viewed at the person who had appeared out of nowhere with a hint of surprise. Even though the person had taken a powerful blow, he had an average appearance and a lean body.

Regardless of his weak appearance,

the person’s gaze was powerful and sharp. For the first time in his life, Baldie feared the horrifying gaze of a person who looked so weak and lean.

His gaze reminded Baldie of a wild animal who would pounce on his prey any time soon.

His eyes looked frightening, with a murderous desire.

Baldie was shocked that he could block the attack and yet not show any sign of pain on his face.

The people who were anticipating a worse scene were anxious now.

The nearby shop owners knew who the person was.

“Liu Nan!” His appearance made Chung Xinyue happy and surprised as well.

Chung Xinyue did not even realize when he had abruptly appeared.

Nonetheless, she felt happy that he appeared just in time to save Liu Laosan.

“Who the hell are you?!” Baldie cursed.

Lin Nan was calm and smiled slyly as he said in a low voice, “The person who you wanted to meet so desperately.”

Lin Nan shrugged his wrist gently and something unbelievable happened.

Just a light shrug of his hand created a powerful force, and it kicked the bat away.

The push was so strong that Baldie lost his balance and staggered, almost ready to kiss the ground.

As Baldie staggered away, Lin Nan helped Liu Laosan to stand up.

“I am so sorry, Uncle Liu. You have to face all this because of me.” Lin Nan felt sorry and guilty for Liu Laosan.

Lin Nan felt it was his fault for everything that happened. It was his fault. Otherwise, Baldie and the group would have never known about the Laosan Noodle Shop.

Liu Laosan stood up with Lin Nan’s support and said feebly as he held his swollen face, “Why did you come out suddenly? There are so many of them. How can you beat them all? Go back, now!”

Liu Laosan chided Lin Nan and wanted to push him away to leave.

Lin Nan felt emotional as he saw him worried.

Even though they were not related to each other, Liu Laosan was trying to protect him despite getting beaten up blue and black by Baldie.

His nagging not only did not affect Lin Nan, but his decision to protect Liu Laosan became even more firm.

Lin Nan was determined to make Baldie and his gang payback for what they did to Liu Laosan.

Baldie turned his head toward them and said, “You want to leave? Impossible!” His laugh sounded horrific.

Except for Chen Hao, who did not have the courage to step toward Lin Nan, the remaining twenty of them surrounded Lin Nan and Liu Laosan immediately.

All of them had either baseball bats or steel rods in their hands.

“I won’t leave until I teach them a lesson.”

Lin Nan fixed the nearby bench properly.

He then helped Liu Laosan to sit on the bench, being careful not to touch his wounds.

Liu Laosan was hurt real bad and even sitting down on the bench caused him to twitch in pain.

“Uncle Liu, I will definitely make them pay for what they did to you.”

Lin Nan comforted Liu Laosan and went ahead to face them.

Lin Nan stood tall in front of Baldie’s men as he faced them bravely.

Lin Nan’s gaze slowly followed those men and stopped at Baldie.

Lin Nan pointed at Baldie and said word to word, “This is between you and me. You will have to pay for your actions.”

Lin Nan’s voice was dangerously low, as he said his words like a judge giving his final verdict.

It was like he was the judge and

his words were law!

Baldie lit a cigarette and took a puff and said, “You look too confident for a person who has a weak and lean body.”

Lin Nan was standing alone surrounded by about twenty odd people from Ghost Fire Gang. It would not take much to understand who had the advantage.

Lin Nan may have been strong, but everyone doubted if he could fight all of them by himself.

Of course, it was not a movie for something unexpected to happen.

“Beat him up!” Baldie ordered his underlings.

The moment Baldie gave the order, one of the crook who was closest to Lin Nan attacked him.

The metal rod in his hand waved at an inhumane speed and hit Lin Nan’s chest.
