Lin Nan remembered these words when he saw Aunt Li's freshly baked bun.

But Chung Xinyue's growth was noticeable.

Chung Xinyue was in the budding period of her beauty like a flower that was about to bloom. It was like all the soul-stirring beauty present in the world had been concentrated in her and was waiting to bloom any moment.

Lin Nan carefully pushed her away from him and smiled warmly when he saw tears strained face of hers. "You don't look like you are afraid?"

Chung Xinyue wiped the dried-up trails of tears from her face and smiled brightly. "Yes. I am not afraid anymore."

Suddenly someone from the crowd gave an encouraging shout,

and everyone clapped and cheered. In an instant, the entire Wulong Street was filled with cheerful sounds.

They were all just common people who wished that a hero should come and save them when bad people harassed them. They wished to have someone who could protect them and their self-respect.

Here, at the Wulong Street, Lin Nan was their hero.

"Buddy, don't just keep standing there. Let's clean Uncle Liu's shop." Lin Nan smiled at the neighbor and asked to help him.

"Don't worry. Uncle Liu is like our family member. We will definitely help him."

It was Butcher Zhang whom Lin Nan called out for help. He gathered everyone and soon they all started working and busied themselves.

Lin Nan saw the time on his watch and reminded her, "Chung Xinyue, if you don't leave now, you will be late for your school."

"Oh God! I am leaving now. Bye."

Chung Xinyue scurried away as she was really late. Turning around the corner, she chased after the bus.

As he saw her scurrying away like a rabbit, Lin Nan suddenly remembered something.

"Chung Xinyue! Can you lend me some money to take the bus?" Lin Nan shouted loudly.

But Chung Xinyue was already far away to hear his voice.

Lin Nan felt frustrated but smiled. "Damn! Fighting on an empty stomach without having breakfast is tiring enough. But I still have to go to the company. Indeed money is most important in today's life."

Being poor with abilities as Lin Nan's was a real skill. He did not even have money for transportation.

Lin Nan walked away to go to Ye Qingcheng company as he kept thinking about his plans to earn money.

Qingcheng Group of companies was located in the Quanguang Building in the heart of the city. It was the best corporate building in Jianghuai City and had more than eighty floors. So it was easy to locate landmark buildings there.

As the surrounding area was all corporate center, the roads were normally busy and so it was convenient to order a takeout.

Lin Nan had stepped in the Ye Qingcheng company first time in the two years of his married life.

Lin Nan went to the front desk and asked for the location of the Qingcheng company office. Getting the floor number from the front desk, Lin Nan walked toward the elevator and pressed the button for the 16th floor.

As the elevator door was about to close, he heard a woman's voice, "Wait a minute. Please wait!"

Lin Nan pressed the stop button to let her in.

The woman was in a hurry and got into elevator quickly.

The woman had a pile of documents that was taller than her height. She held onto the pile of documents, with one hand on top and the other at the bottom.

What Lin Nan noticed was that the middle of the pile was supported by her chest.

It was perfectly balanced.

Lin Nan realized that she could use and control her body as good as him.

The woman tilted her head to the side from behind the documents and said, "16th floor. Thank you."

The woman had a fair face. She was wearing black-rimmed glasses that made her clear eyes stand out. The maroon-dyed hair was let lose on the shoulder with a simple clamp holding onto as much hair as it could. And the cashmere sweater made her skin look fairer.

"You are welcome." Lin Nan had a smile on his face.

He was always happy to help a damsel in distress.

As the elevator was moving toward its destination, Lin Nan kept looking at her chest, intentionally or not.

Lin Nan was curious about the woman's ability as she had balanced the documents with her chest. So he kept on staring at her chest.

He wondered if it was considered as cheating.

He did not think that even a physicist would be able to solve this problem.

Qin Xiaoyu, the lady behind the pile of documents sensed Lin Nan's eyes staring at her. In her heart, she felt angry at him.

Of course, that part of her body was evident.

But it was not like she enjoyed that.

Even when she was young, Qin Xiaoyu had people pointing at her for her big chest. She often used to feel inferior and even thought of getting surgery.

Qin Xiaoyu used many of her connections to finally get a job at Qingcheng Group after her graduation.

She was determined to work diligently and let her eminent feature overshadowed by her hard work.

It was unfortunate that it did not work according to her plans.

After getting a job in the office, all women in the office viewed her as a threat to themselves and men used to make fun of her. Those women used to give her a cold shoulder.

The only option she had was to transfer departments. She had only wished to be recognized for her hard work and not for her special aspect. So she got herself transferred to the busy Sales Department.

Her past came back to her in a flashback as she saw Lin Nan staring at her.

What irritated her was that he did not even try to hide his intentions of peeking at her.

"Ding..."

The elevator reached the 16th floor.

As soon as the elevator door opened, she carefully moved out.

As she was carrying too many documents, her view was blocked and she couldn't see.

The moment she tried getting down from the elevator, her feet got in the gap between the elevator and the ground.

"Ah..."

Her feet got stuck and Qin Xiaoyu lost balance. As her hands were holding onto the documents, she could not hold onto anything and was about to fall with her face in front.

She knew she was going to be a laughingstock for everyone from that moment onwards.

Qin Xiaoyu kept thinking about how she was going to embarrass herself.

But nothing like that happened. Her body was still half swaying in the air, and her face was about to kiss the ground suddenly stopped midair.

She felt as if time has stopped, magically.

The two people one falling and other leaning looked like two people dancing a ballet.

Lin Nan again remembered Aunt Li's fresh steamed bun from the morning.

Lin Nan came out of his trance when Qin Xiaoyu shouted for help, "Let go of me! Help, this person is acting like hooligan..."

Lin Nan's smile froze on his face. How is the world such a misunderstanding happened?

He was trying to help out of kindness but now he was labeled as a hooligan.

The security of Qingcheng Group was pretty fast.

Immediately as Qin Xiaoyu shouted, four or five young men wearing security uniform gathered around.

"Stop!"

"What are you doing?"

Lin Nan let go of Qin Xiaoyu to prove his innocence to the security guards.

It must have been fate for Qin Xiaoyu to fall that day.

But she was not concerned about her falling or everyone laughing. As soon as he left her, she gathered the documents and hugged the pile in her hands, she said, "Captain Lee, this person is manic. Catch him."

Then she ran away with the documents as if her tail was on fire.

Captain Lee, who was standing there, looked at Lin Nan from up to down. Then he asked coldly, "Who are you? What are you doing in our company?"

"We are all colleagues. What you all saw is just a misunderstanding." Lin Nan smiled and tried to tell everything clearly.

Captain Li did believe him. "Who are you? We don't have a colleague like you."

"I am your colleague!"

"I am Director Ye's husband!" Lin Nan revealed his identity in clear words.
