C88 Beauty Wait for Me!?
Indeed, Olivia Ye was the head of Olivia Group.
She had recently gained fame as a prominent female CEO and was even hailed as a star entrepreneur.
But despite her rising popularity, she was no match for the Freeman family.
The Freemans were a behemoth in the business world, overshadowing the Rogers family in nearly every regard.
Olivia Group was akin to a toddler taking its first steps, while the Freeman family was the epitome of a robust adult.
Hence, it was unthinkable for Reeve Freeman to seek out Olivia Ye.
Even if Rodin Rogers were to show up, Reeve might not grant him an audience.
Sayeed Freeman inquired with feigned casualness, "Which Miss Rogers might that be?"
"She's Rodin's daughter. She sought me out this afternoon, but since Dr. Jimenez was present, I asked her to return later."
Reeve responded, "I didn't expect her to stay put. She's certainly headstrong."
"So, it's Olivia Ye. Her demeanor doesn't quite resemble Rodin's," Sayeed remarked coolly.
"Indeed. The pair of them, one a sly fox and the other fiercely stubborn," Reeve chuckled.
After their conversation, Westley interjected, "Uncle Tang, are you referring to Olivia Ye?"
"Yes! Dr. Jimenez, you're acquainted with her?" Reeve inquired with curiosity.
"Actually, I don't really know her. We've only met briefly," Westley replied with a smile.
His marriage to Olivia Ye was a closely guarded secret, known to only a select few.
Thus, he chose not to disclose their connection.
"I've heard that Olivia Ye is exceptionally beautiful with a remarkable presence. But I wonder if that's true?" Reeve mused with a knowing smile.
"Absolutely true!" Westley affirmed.
The thought was amusing; his wife was undoubtedly the most beautiful.
That was beyond question!
"Dr. Jimenez, would you like to catch up with her? I can have someone invite her in," Reeve suggested with a twinkle in his eye and a broadening grin.
Being a seasoned businessman, Reeve was quite astute.
Observing Westley's expression, he could tell there was something special about his view of Olivia Ye.
If he could leverage this to curry favor with Dr. Jimenez, it would be an excellent opportunity.
He had just made a significant blunder that displeased the old man, and he was desperately seeking a chance to rectify it.
Westley paid him no mind, instead turning to Elder Freeman with a grave tone, "Elder, you promised to honor three requests of mine. Do they still stand?"
"Absolutely! The Freeman family always honors their commitments," Elder Freeman declared, his expression stern.
As he finished, his face shifted as though a thought had struck him. "Don't tell me you..."
"Yes, I'd like to invoke my first condition," Westley affirmed with emphasis.
"For Olivia?" Elder Freeman asked, incredulous.
"Indeed, for her."
Westley's demeanor grew serious, "Though I'm unaware of the exact troubles she's facing, given that she specifically sought you out, I hope you can lend her a hand."
Sayeed reflected for a moment before posing his question, "Consider this carefully. Are you sure it's worth using one of your opportunities for a woman you've only met once?"
"Without a doubt, it's worth it!" Westley asserted with conviction.
"Very well! You truly are a man of deep compassion and loyalty. I will honor your request."
Sayeed spoke with gravity, "Reeve, this task is yours. Do whatever it takes to assist Olivia."
"Yes, Father! I'll bring Miss Rogers in immediately."
Reeve set off to do just that, but Westley stopped him, "Uncle Tang, hold on a moment."
"What is it? Dr. Jimenez, is there something else you wish to instruct?" Reeve inquired.
"When you discuss the matter later, could you please leave me out of it?" Westley asked with a sheepish grin.
"Why? This is an excellent chance for you to earn Miss Rogers' appreciation," Reeve said, puzzled.
From his perspective, a man's willingness to help a woman typically meant one of two things.
First, he was seeking greater benefits from her.
Second, he had strong feelings for her.
Either way, it was an ideal moment for a man to win a woman's favor.
So why was Westley declining?
"There seems to be a misunderstanding between Miss Rogers and me; she might prefer not to see me. Therefore, it's best if I keep my distance," Westley explained with a smile.
It wasn't that he was reluctant to flaunt his abilities in front of Olivia, but rather that he simply couldn't.
Given Olivia's temperament, she'd likely turn on her heel and walk away if she saw him there.
"I get it." Reeve blinked, his smile taking on a peculiar edge.
Westley realized Reeve had misconstrued his words, but he couldn't be bothered to clarify.
Once Reeve had departed, Westley inquired, "Is there another way out?"
"Yes! Molly, please escort Mr. Jimenez out through the side door."
"Right away!"
Thanks to Westley, Olivia's subsequent dealings went off without a hitch.
Reeve personally stepped out to greet her with enthusiasm, ushering her into the Freeman family's most formal reception room. Eventually, the two parties came to an agreement.
The entire process barely took half an hour, proceeding so seamlessly that it felt almost surreal to her.
It was as if she were living a dream.
In her mind, Reeve was a seasoned businessman, typically stern and authoritative.
Yet, she was treated like a distinguished guest.
Moreover, Reeve volunteered to supply her with raw materials, slashing the price by 20%.
This discount would significantly boost the profits of Olivia's international trade business.
The Freeman family's raw material pricing was practically at cost.
The array of extraordinary occurrences even led Olivia to suspect a trap.
But upon scrutinizing the contract, she found no oversights; everything was crystal clear.
After the contract talks, Olivia couldn't contain her curiosity any longer. She rose to her feet and addressed him, "Old Mr. Freeman, may I ask why you're willing to forfeit such substantial profits? This way, you're essentially left with no margin at all."
"Do you really want to know?" Reeve asked, his smile broadening.
"Yes, I'm genuinely curious!" Olivia affirmed earnestly.
"I can't reveal the details, but I can tell you that you've had a helping hand," Reeve hinted cryptically.
"A helping hand?"
Olivia was momentarily taken aback.
Who could this person be, with the influence to prompt such a significant concession from the Freeman family?
"Old Mr. Freeman, could you at least tell me his name?" Olivia pressed.
"Sorry, I can't disclose that information to you."
Reeve Freeman broke into a smile and added, "All I can say is his last name is Lin."
"Lin?"
Olivia Rogers was stumped. She couldn't recall knowing any influential individual with the last name Lin.
"Well, that's all I have for you, Miss Rogers. You should head back now," Reeve said nonchalantly, sipping his tea.
His words were a clear signal for Olivia to take her leave.
Exiting the Freeman Mansion, Olivia settled into her car, her mind still wandering.
Just who was this Mr. Lin?
It was then that a voice drifted in from outside the window.
"Hey, beautiful, have you been waiting for me?"
