C98 Why Did He Come??

Dorsey was one of Derrick's disciples.

Although not as powerful as Rashawn, he could still handle several opponents by himself with ease.

He was sure he could take down Westley.

Unfortunately, his confidence was misplaced.

Before Dorsey's fist even reached Westley, he was met with a swift kick.

The kick showed no mercy, sending Dorsey flying.

The bodyguards ready to step in were also taken down with force, hitting the ground hard.

Dorsey's body flailed like a kite with its string cut.

He was nearly kicked right out the door.

Just then, a figure darted in.

Catching Dorsey, he sprinted forward in a few strides and unleashed a lightning-fast palm strike.

The palm appeared soft and weak.

Yet, as it moved, the space around it undulated like water ripples.

Westley remained unfazed. He countered with a punch thrown with precision.

Fist met palm with a heavy thud.

In a flash, the Spiritual Energy within Westley's Qi Sea surged, empowering his punch.

A fearsome storm of Spiritual Energy erupted, engulfing the assailant's palm.

The grinding of bone could be heard.

The assailant, taken aback, retreated several steps.

He set Dorsey aside, then, with his hands behind his back, spoke in a chilly tone, "You're quite strong."

"Average," Westley replied coolly.

He scrutinized the enemy, noting a lean man in his fifties with short hair, piercing eyes, and slightly bulging temples—a clear sign of a master in external martial arts.

"Mr. Morris, what brings you here?" Charlotte asked with a smile, though her eyes betrayed a frosty edge.

This man was none other than Cadell, one of the Lindzac Three Tigers!

Derrick the Sky-Opening Tiger, Suhail the Laughing Tiger, and Cadell the Crouching Mountain Tiger once commanded the underworld of Lindzac City, their influence unchallenged across the entire northern Jiangbei region, where they were renowned as formidable warriors.

However, Derrick's penchant for being too direct and outspoken had earned him a multitude of foes.

His empire was vast, and his ascent meteoric, drawing envious eyes and ill will from all sides.

They banded together to crush Derrick's burgeoning power.

Cadell had been among those who sought to suppress Derrick back in the day.

"Boss Powell, don't overstep. You know full well that Dorsey is my guy. Why did you have to hurt him so severely?" Cadell demanded.

Dorsey had been kicked so hard that blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Had it not been for Cadell's intervention, Dorsey would surely have been gravely injured and bedridden.

"So this is Dorsey? I mistook him for some stray mutt." Charlotte laughed lightly.

Cadell's face darkened considerably.

"There's an old saying, 'Even when you beat a dog, you must consider its master.' Dorsey is under my protection now. He's no longer any of your concern. Could your actions be considered a challenge to me?" Cadell said, hands clasped behind his back.

"So he is indeed a dog. Well, that puts my mind at ease." Charlotte giggled, covering her mouth.

Dorsey, already in a foul mood, was so enraged by the exchange that he felt like spitting blood.

Indeed, he saw himself as Cadell's loyal hound.

But being demeaned so openly still stung bitterly.

"Boss Powell, curb your arrogance. Don't think you can act recklessly just because you have a strong backer," Cadell said through clenched teeth.

"Seems you do have something to fear after all."

Charlotte leaned provocatively against Westley, a satisfied smile playing on her lips.

She was thrilled!

For years, she'd been held down by these men, hindered at every turn.

But this time, Westley had not only put Dorsey in his place but also sent a clear warning to Cadell.

He had given her a taste of sweet revenge!

In that moment, she felt certain she had backed the right horse.

"Boss Powell, don't get too cocky, or you might just be the architect of your own downfall."

With a cold huff, Cadell strode toward the inner court.

Trailing behind, a battered Dorsey pleaded pitifully, "Mr. Morris, won't you avenge me? That Liu woman, she showed you such disrespect."

He certainly felt aggrieved.

It was Cadell who had him lead the charge, tasked with the sole purpose of infuriating Charlotte.

Unexpectedly, Charlotte remained unprovoked, while he ended up getting kicked instead.

As someone loyal, he couldn't stand this injustice.

"I get it," Cadell said, his face darkening.

"Mr. Morris, you've got to help me get even," Dorsey pleaded, on the verge of tears.

"That's enough, be quiet!" Cadell snapped, clearly annoyed.

Dorsey, seeing his boss's anger, quickly clammed up.

As a faithful subordinate, he knew when to seek praise and when to simply follow orders.

Otherwise, if he upset his boss, things wouldn't end well for him.

"Do you know anything about the background of the young man with Charlotte?" Cadell asked quietly.

"I'm not sure. But he claims to be Charlotte's lover," Dorsey replied.

"Lover?" Cadell's eyes bulged in surprise.

Charlotte certainly had some tricks up her sleeve, quickly finding someone new to protect her.

"Let's keep this quiet for now. Later, at the banquet, I'll bring it up to Mr. Rochester," Cadell instructed.

"Mr. Rochester will be there today?" Dorsey brightened at the thought.

The image of an elegant gentleman immediately sprang to his mind.

Mr. Rochester of Lindzac was an enigmatic figure.

Yet, his power was undisputedly among the top three in Lindzac.

With Mr. Rochester on his side, Cadell knew Charlotte would face serious trouble today.

"Yes! I've offered him quite a few favors to secure his help. She deliberately chose the anniversary of Derrick's death for this gathering—her intentions are clear to all," Cadell said with a malicious smile.

"Then we can't afford to give her any respite. We'll ensure her complete downfall," Dorsey said, joining in the laughter.

Just as the two were confident in their foolproof plan, a voice from behind them said, "Don't hold back the pain. If it hurts, just cry out. There's no shame in that."

At those words, Cadell's body visibly shuddered.

He felt an intense pain in his wrist.

As he took a closer look, he involuntarily gasped at the chill that struck him.

His palm had swollen to the size of a steamed bun.

Moreover, the surrounding skin had turned a dark, bruised green, clearly indicating the severity of his injury.

"Hmph!"

Cadell didn't spare Westley a glance as he strode inside.

"How about that for an opening? Pretty good, huh?" Westley said with a self-satisfied grin.

"Good? It was nothing short of perfect," Charlotte beamed with joy.

She could already envision Westley triumphing over everyone in the upcoming contest.

"Boss Powell, what's got you smiling so brightly?"

A voice as cold as if it had emerged from a deep freeze cut through the air.

The mere sound of it brought with it a sharp, piercing energy.

It was an aura that carried a suffocating weight.

"Oh no! Why did he have to show up?" Charlotte's face fell with alarm.
