C3 Ditching school

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Ana continued to bow her head in apology.

"Stupid," she heard the man hiss coldly before he walked away. For a moment, her body went stiff as she gazed at his retreating feet.

Ana concluded that she had had enough of the events of today. First, she had been having weird dreams, then the incident with the kids happened and now, here she was, gazing at a man's feet like she had a fetish.

'I really need to take some painkillers and nourish myself properly,' she coaxed herself as she boarded a cab to her home. She was aware that boarding a cab would dig a deep hole in her purse but she had no choice because she really didn't have the strength to go to the bus station. Moreover, it was evening time and the sky was already turning dark.

*********

A week passed, and the kids in the hospital had recovered tremendously. The only thing was that they were no longer in the hospital they were operated in but an elite hospital.

"Amy…are you awake?" A boy who appeared not less than five years old called out from the bed he was laying on. His fingers along with his head were covered with bandages, making this sight a heart wrenching one. Despite this, it wasn't affecting his beauty in any way, rather, it made him look cute in a weird way. His scrunched eyebrows, small pointy nose, pale white skin and thin red lips complimented his handsomeness.

"No," the voice of a young girl was heard in the luxurious ward. As soon as the girl answered, a short snort was heard at the far end of the ward and the two kids both turned to look at the one who made that sound.

"What's funny, Aron?" The bandaged boy grunted in annoyance as he glared at the figure laying on the third bed in the ward.

"Who laughed?" This question was heard from the young boy who bore resemblance to the bandaged boy.

"Hmph! There's no point arguing with you! So childish!" The furious boy hissed in resignation, still glaring at Aron.

"See the on_" Aron was suddenly cut off by Amelia's question.

"Do you remember her?" Her childish voice was solemn when she asked this. Immediately, the formerly cheerful atmosphere in the ward became depressing as all three kids drifted into their thoughts. They were all lost in thoughts until the door was pushed open and they heard his voice.

"What are you thinking about?" His cold but slightly warm voice rang out in the room as he gazed at all three kids intermittently.

"Nothing!" Amelia yelled out lightly as she helped herself to sit on the bed.

Of course, their father knew they were definitely lying judging from the look on their faces but there was nothing he could do.

"How are you feeling?" He asked as he walked towards the cute little girl's bed.

Aron scoffed rather loudly in the quiet room as he gazed at his father and sister. Of course, aside from paying the boys little attention and giving them enough money to do as they pleased, they were treated like guards by their father who paid more attention to their little sister.

They were triplets for goodness sake! Aron yelled and rolled his eyes but deep down, he knew their father was trying to do the best he could in taking care of them.

"Baby, can you now remember her face?" The handsome man cooed as he rubbed his daughter's hair with a loving gaze. A week ago, by the time he got the news about his children's accident, he knew he was late but still immediately ran to the hospital. On getting there, everything that happened was explained to him but none of the nurses nor doctors knew the identity of the woman who helped his kids.

Of course, he was smart enough and immediately asked for the hospital's inner security footage and upon watching it, it appeared that the footage he was in need of had long disappeared.

He was no fool, he knew it had been deleted but by who?

He had asked his kids if they could remember the woman who helped them but none of them knew or they pretended not to.

"Alright, you kids stay here. I'm leaving for work. Don't run around," he ordered coldly but the slight warmth in his voice couldn't be mistaken.

As soon as he left, all three kids joined their heads together as they began mumbling softly.

"We need to find her," these were the last words they said resolutely and there was no room for denial or suggestion.

"Axel, where is your computer?" Aron called out to his brother with a determined look on his face. For a five year old, his gaze was astonishing.

They all gathered on one bed as Aron began typing a series of code speedily. If their father were to see this, he'd definitely die from anger and astonishment. Never would he have expected that the kid whom he believed was the most playful one was actually a computer genius.

Thirty minutes passed and the ward had grown quieter. Then, the 'clack' was heard before Axel yelled;

"Got it!"

Amelia and her elder brother both surrounded him and watched the video on his laptop with seriousness. The more they watched the video, the more baffled they felt. Who was she?

It was another week and the kids had been discharged from the hospital. Amelia and Axel were on their way to school with their new chauffeur driving the expensive vehicle.

"Pop! Pop! I want to pee," just as the old chauffeur was on the busy road, Amelia cried out. He was contemplating what to do as he didn't want to let her go but seeing the cute look on her face, he knew he couldn't deprive her.

"Don't worry, I'll be with her," Axel seconded cheerfully and both kids were allowed to leave with a few guards clad in black suits, trailing behind them.

Among the crowd of people on the busy street, it was an expected outcome if the kids got lost.

It was easy for Amelia and Axel to easily blend into the crowd, making the guards who were supposed to watch over them panic. They were in deep trouble !

"Phew! We finally lost them! I told father I didn't want to go to school but he still forced me to. Hmph! He deserves this," Amelia grumbled out as she swung her elder brother's hands. Both kids were definitely bound to attract attention with their beauty.

Suddenly, Amelia's hands were tightly gripped. Scared out of her wits, she immediately looked up and her gaze turned fearful as she stared at the rugged looking man smiling at her. Of course, kids were the most sensitive and Amelia could tell he was up to no good.
