C4 Planned incident

Anna was job hunting once again on the busy street. Few minutes ago, she had momentarily paused to watch two kids. For a reason, she couldn't take her eyes off them as she kept staring at them.

As a man held on to the little girl's hand, Anna's eyes widened in anger as she clenched her small fists while glaring daggers at the man from where she stood.

"Heelpppp!" Amelia screamed loudly and all attention was immediately focused on the two kids and the rugged man.

"Who is he?"

"What is he trying to do?"

"Why is he holding the little girl?"

The crowd murmured as they pointed fingers at the man who now had sweat dripping down his back.

"Hey, who are you to these kids?" A passerby mustered up his courage and asked.

"Ha! Of course I'm their uncle," the rugged man was smart enough not to claim that he was the kids father as they bore no resemblance to him in any way. Anyone with a pair of perfectly functioning eyes would be able to tell that he was lying if he claimed to be their father.

Amelia's eyes widened in horror as she heard this. Since when does she have an uncle that her father didn't inform her about? She could tolerate the fact that her father didn't tell her brothers but her? No! She was daddy's princess and he wouldn't hide it from her.

With wariness in her eyes she took a step backwards but then the grip on her wrist tightened.

"Follow me if you don't want to die here," the rugged man hissed quietly and Amelia almost peed her pants. Axel had all along been pursing his lips as he glared at the man. He appeared unbothered as he looked at a figure from the corner of his eyes.

Anna had been watching the trio like a hawk. She was contemplating whether to go or not and the moment Amelia burst into tears, that did it. As fast as she could, she ran towards them and immediately pulled Amelia out of the man's grip.

"Leave them alone. They seem like they don't know you," she hissed, glaring at the man sharply.

The rugged man tightened his fist as he bit his lip nervously but unwilling to give up on the job he was given, he chose to carry out his mission.

"How dare you interfere in my family's business? Who are you?" He pointed a finger at Anna, looking very displeased with her actions.

"I'm sorry if I am interrupting your 'family's' discussion but this isn't proper," Anna air quoted the family.

A short laugh was heard and Axel tried so hard to hide his smile but was failing miserably.

"H…how dare you? Such insolence!..." The man ranted but aside this, there was nothing he could say as he was suddenly tongue tied. The crowd of people began murmuring once again as they stared at the man with unpleasant gazes.

Surely, the man was smart enough to know that he was beginning to be at the losing end but he wasn't willing to give up.

"Let's go to the police station to confirm your identity with them. If I'm told that you are indeed related, I'll apo_."

Before Anna could complete her sentence, the man immediately fled away. Once again, a short laugh was heard and Anna turned to look at Axel who was trying so hard to control his laughter.

For a reason, Anna's heart felt at peace when she saw him smile, she flashed a smile at him too but her legs were suddenly hugged tightly. She gazed down and met with a pair of eyes that was identical to hers. The only difference was that the one she was staring into was more rounder and watery.

"Thank you miss for saving us," Amelia said bashfully as she blinked cutely. For a split moment, she blinked her eyes at Axel who immediately understood. Anna's heart immediately called out to the girl as her heart pounded furiously.

"It's no problem honey. It's my duty to help those in need," Anna smiled and suddenly found her action weird. First, she was acting all emotional with the kids involved in the accident weeks ago and now, here she was, acting all lovey-dovey with kids she had unceremoniously saved.

What is my problem with interfering with kids these days? She wondered as she shook head in resignation.

Axel turned to his side and immediately caught sight of the entourage of guards running towards them. Without standing on ceremony, he immediately pulled Amelia's hand and ran towards them.

"Kids? Wait! Where are you going?" Anna asked nervously as she stared at the running kids.

"Miss! See you some other time and thank you once again," Axel waved without turning back.

Once they were in the vehicle, Abba and Axel both faced each other. Without being told, Axel pulled out a laptop from his bag and immediately started typing speedily once again. Seconds later, a series of information appeared on the screen and both kids read it seriously, completely forgetting about the fact that they had just driven a few grown ass men insane.

Night time came, Anna was yet to find a job. She dragged her feet towards the door of her small home, looking drained. Just as she stood before the door. A medium sized paper caught her eye. She turned left and right, wondering what this was and out of curiosity, she picked it up.

As soon as she read what was written on it, her eyes lit up in hope once again and without turning back, she burst into her small apartment.

Shielded by the darkness under a tree was a black shiny vehicle.

"Axel, our work here is done. It's now left in her hands."
