My excitement had turned to sadness in the blink of an eye.

All my attention just turned from my beautiful wife , Sarah, to the television before me.

Everybody had their eyes fixed on the screen to see what Sarah's mother was about to say.

Rosaline, on the other hand, was still confused as to what we were looking at.
