C7 Welcome Back Little Princess!

Chi Yu, mindful of his sister's injuries, crouched down and happily kissed her cheek. "My sister is so beautiful!"

Little Ruixin, often teased by the village kids for her unique appearance, blushed and shyly hugged her brother's neck, burying her face in his shoulder.

Their father watched with a mix of envy and heartache. Was this what they called sibling attachment? If he were the one picking her up, his darling daughter would be clinging to him instead! Sons, he thought, are just here to collect debts. Frustrated but still smiling, he kept his face pleasant, knowing that scaring his little darling would be a big loss.

On the morning of her discharge, just as dawn was breaking, Little Ruixin woke up in her brother's warm embrace. Her fair face was flushed from the heat. As she tried to get up, an arm gently pressed her back down. Looking up, she saw Chi Yu smiling at her. She blinked, then snuggled closer to him, something she did every morning. It seemed to give her a deeper sense of security and happiness.

"Good morning, Xin," Chi Yu greeted her.

In the business world, Chi Yu was known for his strikingly handsome features—sharp brows, bright eyes, a straight nose, and thin lips. Even when he wasn't speaking, his presence commanded respect.

At this moment, he had a tender smile on his lips as he looked at his precious little sister, his voice filled with endless warmth. Little Ruixin was completely captivated.

Chi Yu chuckled softly at her adorable, dazed expression, gently ruffling her hair. He glanced at her arm, noticing how much the bruising had faded, and marveled once again at her resilience.

He helped her into her slippers and carried her to the bathroom door. "Go ahead, I'll be right outside," he said.

Little Ruixin blushed and went inside, emerging shortly after. Chi Yu, who had been fiddling with his phone, immediately put it away when he saw her, taking her small hand in his. "Do you want to sleep a little longer?" he asked.

Thinking about how her brother worked late every day and still made time for her, she nodded.

When Chi Pinghai and Lau Yunwan came to pick them up, the siblings were still cozily nestled in bed, reading a storybook. The sight made the couple feel a pang of envy—they wanted to cuddle their little one and read stories too!

There wasn't much to pack in the VIP hospital room, so after taking care of the paperwork, they brought Little Ruixin home.

Once they arrived, Little Ruixin's eyes widened as she took in the castle-like house before her. She blinked several times to make sure it wasn't a dream—it really was a castle!

Lau Yunwan crouched down, gently patted her little head, and smiled, "Welcome home, Little Princess."

Little Ruixin blushed and shyly leaned against her brother's leg, glancing at Lau Yunwan and then at the castle. Could she really live here in the future? This lawn was bigger than the entire village she came from!

Lau Yunwan extended her hand to Little Ruixin, her voice soft and inviting, "Your brother has some work to do later. How about Mom shows you around your new home?"

Considering her unique situation, they patiently waited for her response. When Little Ruixin timidly placed her small hand in Lau Yunwan's palm, they quietly breathed a sigh of relief. She was willing to accept and trust them, which was a great start!

Though Lau Yunwan was slender, picking up the frail, undernourished child was easy. Carefully avoiding her injuries, she lifted her into her arms and playfully bumped into her eldest son, giving him a triumphant look.

For the first time, Chi Yu thought his mom was being childish.
