Chapter Eight

Astrid Pov

I stared at Ryan still not believing how fast human can change. Before all these drama we were bit close. He was the cubic matched between I and Nathaniel, but after a while he changed towards me, acting like I was some stranger.

" Ryan! " Elizabeth yelled at her son, I turned to look at her smiling awkwardly.b

" What mom! " He yelled back, glaring at her " I can't believe how fast you change. "

" Shut the fuck up and stop causing commotion. " Nathaniel father Liam said getting down the stairs.

Ryan chuckle looking at all of them, before turning back to glare at me. " Woah bitch you really have everyone in the palm of your hands now right. " He stated clapping his hands, bumping his shoulder against mine then making his way back upstairs.

" Am sorry about that dear. " Elizabeth said with an apologetic smile.

" And this handsome young man much be Kelvin? " She asked trying to trying to clear the tension in the air.

Kelvin quickly grabbed my hand, squeezing them with his tiny ones nervously, I chuckled discreetly at how my brace son nervous reaction.

" Common say goodd evening to grandma. " I said smiling down at him, whole Nathaniel stood still watching the both of us.

" Hi handsome am Elizabeth, your grandma. " She bent down introducing herself to him.

Kelvin looked down at me and I nodded my head, making him smile shyly, letting go of my hands, as he walked slowly towards her.

" Can I please ask for a hug. " Elizabeth asked, stretching her hands towards Kelvin. He shyly walks into her arms and she picked him up, hugging him tightly.

" OMG my first and handsome grandson. " She said pinching his cheek.

" You look just as handsome as your father when he was little. " She said but her tone slightly different, as if it had an hidden meaning to it.

" I have my mother's eyes to. " Kelvin, making his eyes widen, showing her. I chuckled slightly.

Elizabeth put him down smiling and he immediately run towards me grabbing my hand.

Just as we were about to enter the living room, my eyes got a figure leaning against the stairs rail glaring at us. I looked at Ryan shaking my head before walking into the living room.

Mr Liam looked at Kelvin, who was hiding behind my legs, walking quietly behind him..

" Common dear. " Elizabeth took my my hands drawing me closer. " We have a lot of things to catch up on. "

" I would love to talk to my daughter for a moment it's been long. " He said smiling, but I could see regret reflecting in his eyes.

He calls him his daughter, because he say he had always wanted a daughter but got sons instead. But since I came into the family I became his daughter.

He grabbed both of my hands in his " am sorry for not trusting you dear, it was wrong, we were all wrong. " He pleaded nodding his head in sympathy.

I looked around the house swallowing back the sob threatening to escape my lips. It's been a long since I had last entered this house.

The last time I was here was a week before me and Nathaniel had separated, for a family dinner and it didn't even end oh so blissful.

I turned my gaze back to Liam forcing a smile. " It's okay , it's all in the past now. " I said.

He smiled back at before turning his attention back to his grandson. " Sorry everyone but it's now my turn to play with him. " He said stealing Kelvin from Elizabeth.

Nathaniel smiled at his father shaking his head, before looking at me and making his way towards me.

He was about to say something, when the ringtone of a phone blasted throughout the living room, getting everyone's attention.

Elizabeth stood uo nervously and made her way to the phone, before chuckling trying to shu away the awkwardness, as we all stared at her.

She glanced at the phone her eyes opening wide for a spilt second, before she immediately masked her expression back up.

" I will be right back, my friend are calling, I just hope it isn't about the party preparation. " She said chuckling nervously, quickly making her way out of the room.

I turned to look at Nathaniel and his father to see they were both staring at each other knowingly, making me curious as to what was going on.

I quickly shake my thoughts off not anting meddle in their affairs.

Third Person Pov

" What took you so long? He yelled getting up from his seat.

" Well I couldn't just leave now could I ? " Elizabeth shuttered a bit, trying to hide her nervousness from her second son.

" Yes you could, but instead you decided to stay back, adoring and familiarizing with the enemy right. " He stood in front of her poking her head with each word he said.

" Am sorry. " She bowed her head slightly in an apologetic manner.

" Forget it. Let get down to business shall we. " He said going back to his seat, crossing his legs.

" The boy resembles him so much, there's going to be a switch of plan now. " He said rubbing his chin with his index finger.

" So what's the plan? " His mother asked sitting on the chair adjacent to his.

" We need to figure out a plan to break her, she can't step her feet into the Harrison's wealth for the second time. " He sighed

" But what can I do to get rid of this wench for good. " He asked himself, staring at the white celling.

" We are going to get rid of just her right? "Elizabeth asked fiddling with her fingers.

" Why do you ask? " Ryan asked staring at her.

" Well I was thinking it's not like Kelvin could cause any harm, so why not keep him. " She suggested, silently praying he agrees.

The room went quite for a while, before Ryan stood up flipping the small center glass table between them angrily.

Sometimes he couldn't believe how stupid everyone in this house was.

" Are you kidding me. " He chuckled pointing at her " don't tell you, that you are attached to that boy in just some few minutes of knowing him. "

" Are you stupid mother? " He asked marching towards me, gripping her shoulder, making her sat on hee feet.

" If I were you mother, I would focus on the plan and act my part. " He said before patting her shoulders, putting a strand of her hair beging her earn

" Don't forget, I could still break our promise and give your favorite son a painful death. " He said before pushing her aside, making his way out of the room.

Elizabeth crahsed on the couch sobbing. " I really should have terminated you just like the doctors said before you were born. " She whispered sobbing.

Ryan mad his way downstairs to join the welcome part of his oh so dear nephew.

" Woah, so is this my nephew? " He asked leaning against the rail at the end of the stairs.

Astrid immediately got to her feet, her motherly instincts kicking in, for some reason she wasn't aware of. She grabbed Kelvin and take back to her seat, sitting him next to her.

" Woah Astrid for a wench you sure have some nerve to keep me away from my nephew. " He glared at her.

Nathaniel got to his feet, marching towards Ryan with angry steps.b

" Stop! " Liam yelled at the both of them while they both stare at each other angrily.

" Shouldn't you guys be considerate about the young boy inside the house and stop this nonsense. " He whispered yelled at them.

Nathan took a deep breathe trying to calm himself down, then marching back to his, drawing Kelvin to his laps, gently ceasing his head.
