C10 Slight Worry

Xiao Yunhai had his usual serious expression as he looked around giving a sign language to Bai Qing. Bai Qing nodded as well after he understood the intentions of Xiao Yunhai. Without a notice, both scrammed quickly into a lonely forest. The forest was in one of the usual danger zones of the Moon Drifting town- Demon Raiding Mountain. Their auras had long been dispersed making their existence seem illusory.

Demon Raiding Mountain had been a very popular place in not only Moon Drifting Town, but even the entire Clear Water City. As the name implied, the entire vegetative region was flooded by demonic beasts all year. Usually, it should be a danger zone to those who dwelt here. However Xiao Yunhai and Bai Qing were both cultivators and hence had no reasons to be scared as the mortals would. Just after their barging, Xiao Yunhai immediately set up a divine sound barrier formation with the click of his fingers. The next conversation was something to be kept as top secret and he could not afford to spill the beans openly and cause trouble for the young Xiao Ming and Bai Qing.

Within a short period, a few curious demonic beasts arrived but they were choked to death by Xiao Yunhai's strong aura. Bai Qing sensed that Xiao Yunhai had already retracted his aura while he was with him but the little amount that he released was enough to restrain the entire demonic beasts in the Demon Raiding Mountain.

Turning back to Bai Qing, a faintly kind and tender expression emerged on Xiao Yunhai's face. He then slowly gave Xiao Ming to Bai Qing to carry. Although Xiao Ming was asleep, he shook slightly feeling a stranger touch him. After some time however, he became steady again and even gulped in his sleep. A glint of surprise and guilt flashed quickly through Xiao Yunhai's eyes. His companion did not seem to feel anything as he was immersed in his admiration for the cute child.

"He is your son, isn't it?" Bai Qing asked in all smiles as he relished in staring at the calmly asleep Xiao Ming. Xiao Yunhai responded with a silent acknowledgement and a hint of emotion on his face. He was helplessly sad about this parting decision and he was not sure if he could come off it later in the future. Although he had his regrets, he believed it was all for the better since in that way, he could protect Xiao Ming. He trusted that Xiao Ming would still be alive and might even return to seek revenge on behalf of them.

However those emotions faded away and in their place was a cold, serious gaze that the Disaster Demon was known for.
