C1 Cold welcoming

It was six o'clock in the morning, Jessica was in her school uniform, which consist of a light blue stripy flair skirt, a white short selves shirt, and the stripy blue design on the tip end of the selves and vertical on the button region, stripy blue tie, the school badge shaped like a wolf's head and a long pair of sucks with two strips on the end region and any shoe, she wore a white Nike sneak that accessorizes her dressing with a blue headband and her lenses, of course, Gina was still sleeping, well not like she was going to do much this morning unlike Jessie who would have to go see the principal to confirm and get some things, She also had to see Mr. Jameson, Jessie walks towards Gina's bed and wakes her up

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty," she said and Gina was opening her eyes slowly, she sits on the bed and use her fingers to clear her vision "Good morning"Jessie greeted then stands up to give Gina space

"Morning" Gina replied putting her clog on, she takes a look at Jessica and chuckled.

"What's funny?" Jessica asked

"Girl, what are you wearing?" Gina said laughing

"does it look ugly on me?" Jessica questioned looking and touching the sides of the dress.

"No, we wear uniforms only on Mondays and Thursdays and today is a Tuesday" Gina replied

"Oh shit," Jessica said and hastily unbuttons her shirt and removes her skirt and Gina kept laughing and went to the bathroom

Jessica was at the principal's door a little bit nervous and she preforms her breathing exercise and knocked on the door, she was on a slanted strip black and white T-shirt and a black flare skirt with a pair of a white slides.

"Come in" She heard a deep masculine voice command, she opened the door slowly and saw a middle-aged man, he was glancing through some paperwork, the room was huge for a principal's office and there was a large table and on top, his name was written boldly on a little frame 'Prof. Jerry Thomas Harlow'

"Good morning sir," Jessica said with false courage.

"Morning young lady, how may I help you," He said still looking at his document.

"Am new here so I was told to submit my files here" She said giving him the big brown envelope She was holding.

"What's your name?" He said without looking at her

"Jessica, Jessica Roland, Sir"

"Oh!!, where are my manners?, please have a seat," He said and Jessica sat puzzled and her face wasn't hiding it "Miles spoke to me about you," he said with a very serious face and Jessica was shocked.

What did Miles say?, Jessica wondered was he off to get her?, did he tell the principals to make high school hell for her?, she started regretting her actions yesterday she should have stayed still even if he want to rub mud on her face, she would have to keep apologizing, what would Daddy think about her? all this run through her mind.

"Sir please what did he say?" Jessica asked calmly but terrified inside and the principal smiled Which made her more terrified.

"He said he had a conversation with you ..." The principal said and Jessica was getting more terrified, here goes nothing she said to herself swallowing a spitball " he said from your interaction he deduced you're an intellect" added and Jessica sighed and smiled at the principal

"He said so?" She asked surprised

"Yes and I hope he is not wrong"

"Am sure he isn't" she said forcing a fake giggle

The principal took a look at her credentials, his smile portrayed he was pleased, he placed it on the table and looked at the very worried Jessica.

"Welcome aboard, this is your class information, locker number, combination codes, and all other valuable information you need," he said giving her a paper

"Thank you so much, sir," Jessica said with much excitement.

"Go catch up with classes," he said as Jessica went out of the door, she weaved a sigh of relief and she starts jumping in excitement and laughing and when she spots some students she acted cool and when they all walked away she continued jumping then she felt someone at her back, she slowly turned around and found Jake starring at her smiling she felt a little embarrassed.

"He didn't see you there," she said to herself

"Hi," June ake said.

"Hi, I am sorry but I gotta go, I have to go see ...." She said trying to leave and Jake pulled her closer and she turned around then He let go of her hands as she stared at his dark blue eyes

"Hi, I Am Jake didn't get to know your name"

"I Am Jessica," she said.

"Would you like to hang out with me, maybe sit by my table for lunch"

"I don't think that is possible," she said running and something falls off her bag, she noticed something did but it wasn't important at that moment as far as it wasn't the paper she was given by the principal, she bumped into someone and her books were on the ground.

"Am sorry?" she said picking up her books then she saw a hand offering the last book she was reaching out for, She was scared when She looked up and saw it was Miles, oh no! not again, was it destiny for her to keep bumping into him? she timidly collected the book and Miles stood up, she did too and tried avoiding eye contact with Miles, He then holds her chin up to his face level then she looked at the first thing that attracted her to him, his light green eyes, she was a little bit frightened and expected him to yell, he helps her put her lenses back one that's when she discovers She dropped it she thought he was gonna kiss her.

"You got 3 weeks to fall in love with me"

"what the .....?, I just meet you and you don't even like me and I don't like you either"

"What can I say love is an intoxication, it's an allusion you don't know what's real or fake"

"Enough with it Mr. Shakespeare, I don't like you and that's final," she said and Miles starts laughing "you know you're pissing me off"

"You think am trying to shoot a shot at you, don't you," he said moving closer to her, she moved backward until her back touched the locker and he placed his right hand on the locker and her heart was beating fast, she used her books to guide her chest from meeting his, he bent his head downwards and Jessica hated her self for finding attraction in his green eyes.

Jessica was marveled that everybody was just carrying on with their business, some even want to get out of the hall-way faster to avoid problems and this included Teacher a student was about to enter the hallway and saw what was happening then turns back and runs away, this guy owns the school and shouldn't be messed with, Few people were left in the hall-way, Cowards Jessica said to herself.

"I made a bet with my friends, you're the best, you were supposed to fall in love with me, so you will be my fake girlfriend," He said in a low tone, Jessica pushed him aside am realized they were the only one in the hallway

"You think you could hurt people's feelings as you want then the next day pretend nothing happened," she said pissed off by his proposal and she pushed him aside, she tried living but he grabbed her hand.

"I just did," he said smirking and Jessica struggled effortlessly to get off his grip.

"I have to go to class, excuse me," Jessica said politely

"You ain't going anywhere"

"Let go of me you fucking pervert" Jessica yelled using her other hand to weaken his grip.

"You're a wild one ain't you, the shit is am gonna pay you anything just name it"

"Even if you gave me $500 ...."

"Then make it $1000," He said cutting in

"Even if you gave me $1000"

"Then make it $2000 a week"

"Let me conclude first, even if all the money in this world I would say no, money is what the rich use to control the weak and I ain't a gold digger," she said and he laughed.

"Your acting not dating me, it's different"

"Okay," Miles said and went down on his knees and Jessica was shocked "am sorry for yesterday "

"Leave me alone Miles" Jessica yelled

"Leave her alone," Jake said entering the hallway with Damian and eight other boys they were furious, Miles took a look at Jessica's face and smiled, standing up and waiting for Jake to make a move.

"Please let go I don't want you to get hurt because of me," Jessica said in a whisper but it fell on deaf ears and Miles held on to her tighter. soon Jake and the boys approach them

"I said let go of her" Jake said trying to look calm as possible.

"I see you brought the gang with you but you should know I ain't intimidated by them," Miles said with a smile on his face and Jake boiled with anger, he turned to Jessica "Darling in case you change you could give me a call," he said giving her a Card which she received willingly, he gets satisfied when he sees the jealousy in Jake's face. Miles leaves but before that he jerks Jake's shoulder and the other boy in his way, that guy is crazy, Jessica thought, maybe the power has gotten into his head, she concluded, immediately Miles left and a lot of students began to enter into the hallway and some came out of their lockers.

"You dropped this" Jake said giving Jessica a pink-covered book.

"Thanks, guys," Jessica said then Jake smiled, the boys walked away but Jessica hold Jake's hand "wait" she muttered and caught Damian looking at them with a pissed expression and walks away. "You saved my butt twice"

"You're welcome"

"So does your offer still stands?"

"Only if it won't arise conflict with you and Gina"

"She will understand"

"She just came and then she got the coolest kids going crazy for her," a random female student said.

"Did you see Damian's face when she called Jake?" another female student said joining the conversation of three.

"I was literally in my locker," a boy said"I caught all the action but their conversation was in whispers I couldn't hear" he added

"Yeah nobody knows" the lead gossiper replied

"What the fuck is going on?" a blonde girl asked and the excitement in the atmosphere changed to a tense one.

"You would have known if you didn't come late to school, Lora" Gina who was sitting beside the gossipers said cutting in.

"I wasn't talking to you," Lora said. "are you still Mad that Jake shared a bed with me," she said smiling, Gina got upset but refused to show it.

"Then you will be mad if you know my friend arrived here yesterday and got Miles going on his kneels for here, closer than you have been in five years" Gina smiled seeing her angry sad expression on her face.

"Is that true" she turned to the four students who nods their heads in agreement but were partly frightened.

"And Jake and Damian are crazy over her, oh she is Miss Popular now," Gina said walking away with a devilish smirk.

"What are you all still doing here," Lora said very angrily and everyone leaves "she's competition let's see who breaks who first"

"Don't worry bestie she ain't no competition" a red-haired girl said.

"Camellia," She said with a bright smile and hugged " when did you come back, girl"

"Today," she said breaking the hug " don't worry have seen the girl, she's a nerd they just want something from her, they gonna leave anyway, no one can steal your spotlight "

"Jessica!! Jessica!!" Gina shouted when she spotted her going to the cafeteria and Jessica turned and waved, Gina approached her and hugged her. "Are you alright?" She said holding her hands.

"Sure I am" Jessica replied.

"I heard everything, you could tell me all about it at lunch"

"Am sorry I wanted to tell you, Jake saved my butt again and the least I could do was join him for lunch, you could too"

Gina got angry but would do anything to make Lora angry.

"I know you're mad but ..."

"Alright let's do it"

"Are you sure I understand if ...."

"Let's do it"

Jake and Damian were sitting at the table and soon the girls joins them Jake was surprised to see Gina sitting with them, Damian was on his phone.

"Hi," Gina said

"Hi" Jake replied a little weird because of Gina's presence.

"you made your orders yet?" Gina asked

"You order your food here?"

"Sure we do," Jake said

"You pay?"

"No, you don't have to your fees got it covered," Damian said. " you call a waiter," he said then absorbed himself in his phone.

"Woah!!" Jessica exclaimed then she saw Miles sitting alone and felt a little bit sorry for him then two Junior students join him and they looked happy as soon as he caught her staring she avoids eye contact.

At Miles's table, the junior student sat comfortably and laughed.

"Heard what you did in the hallway today Miles," one of the junior students said.

"You heard right Blake"

"She looking at our table Man," The second boy said

"Try not to maintain eye contact Troy" Blake replied and Miles was still eating his French fries "do you like her?"

"That ain't your business" Troy replied

"Hold on, you guys came to talk about my love life?" Miles asked

"Nah!!, we almost forgot, we want you to coach us during basketball practice," Troy said smiling.

"Isn't Mr. James the gym teacher why are you talking to me? " Miles said eating his burger

"Bro you are our best shot Mr. James highly recommended you to us, our basketball coach is sick and the junior school tournament is coming up" Blake begged

"Yeah bro exactly what he said," Troy said

"Fine but you guys gonna follow my every instruction"

"Yes," Blake said and they both nodded, smiling in excitement

"You guys gonna be jogging, stretching, and work on the basic by 3 in the morning," Miles said and the boy's smile went upside down

"Man that's way too early," Troy said and Miles gave him a looking telling him he signed up for it "I take that back go on"

"Then we will train from 5 pm to 7:30 pm after school, do we have an agreement?"

"Yes," they both chorused.

Lora walks to Miles's table and bangs her hand on the table, it was so loud it caught everyone's attention.

"Give some a sec," Lora said to Troy and Blake they got scared and left and she took a seat, Miles was still eating ignoring her.

"Who is that?" Jessica asked Gina as soon as she spotted the drama.

"She's Lora, a meany, her parents own 45% of the school shares, and not to forget she's nasty" Gina replied and the boys were laughing

"How nasty is she?" Jessica asked

"She dated Miles and was having an affair with my boyfriend," Gina said looking at Jake and he felt embarrassed and bents his head downwards, Jessica got the message.

Back at Miles's table, Lora was staring at Miles who doesn't seem to have any interest.

"Whose is the Jessica girl?" Lora asked

"The new girl at Damian's table" Miles replied and Lora took a look.

"Ohhh!! I don't know what you see in her, I mean I got a lot to offer, just give me a chance"

"Oh, shit! are we doing this again?"

"Am still in love with you"

"I said I was done and it was the last time no more breakups and makeups and doing it over again am done with you"

"But I wanna have you"

"I rather love what I don't have than have what I don't have"

"She came here a few days and you're going crazy over her" She yelled standing up "you like her don't you"

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't"

"You know what?" She said scratching her hair " you know what Fuck you all" she said walking away and making sure to bump into Jessica's shoulder when she stood up, Jessica took her breath and walks up to Lora and taps her, when she turned around Jessica didn't hesitate but slaps her, Lora held her cheek looking at Jessica in shock, Jessica leaves the cafeteria.

"Serves you right bitch" Gina said to Lora then follows her friend and everyone laughs at Lora. "Wait up girl !!" Gina yelled trying to get Jessica's attention.

"What are you laughing at?" Lora said but the laughter increased and she was forced to exit the cafeteria, Lora was walking furiously and when she was far away from the cafeteria someone holds her hands, and she turns around and finds Damian.

"What do you want?" Lora asked

"No harm must come to Jessica do you understand that?"

"She slapped me and ...."

"It's because you were behaving like a pussy"

"She got you too, didn't she?"

"If you don't wanna face my wrath she must remain in this school," He said about to leave then turns around "and no physical assault on her, you get that?"

"Sure I do," she said blowing her hair with her mouth.
