C5 KRYPTONITE
CHAYSE'S POV
I took a breath of fresh air as I woke up, a concrete room surrounding me with only one light above my head.
I blinked at the blinding light flashing in my eyes and my wolf vision focused at the dark spots of the room, where I found beings standing, watching me.
They all stood taller when someone came down the stairs, larger than all the rest. His eyes were sparkling red, his hands folded as he came closer to me. He had the same hair color as Xander, but he let it grow out slightly and didn't have any facial hair. I only felt hatred for this man.
"So, how is my brother doing?" he asked, his lips playing in a smirk only I could top. I mocked his face and growled, my lips then turning into a snarl.
"Okay, Little Wolf, if you won't talk, then we have no option but to get you punished." He slapped me across the face. My head jerked sideways, my jaws moving in an uncomfortable position. I looked back at him, glaring.
"Now, who are you to Xander, huh? A toy? Another fling?"
I growled again and he punched me in the stomach, making me writhe in pain while tying me chair.
"His mate," I snarl. The man chuckled.
I kicked my leg loose and it kicked right in his groin. His legs buckled so I kicked him across the face, a sickening crack emerging from his nose.
The men in the corners engaged, coming to grab me. I slammed my body against the wall, the wooden chair breaking and the ropes sliding right off.
I punched the nearest enemy and threw himself at another before putting one in a chokehold before using him as a launchpad to kick the other in the neck.
They both collapse on the ground and I move to the man questioning me. I kicked him in the chest before making my way towards the stairs. Well, until I was stopped by the reinforcements.
They still piled on top of me, heaps of two hundred pound men adding to the pile to keep me down. The man questioning me kicked my face, making me whimper and blood spread across my cheek.
"Okay, Luna, it's time for a punishment."
The guards picked me up and held me still while the man took his belt from his jeans and cracked it once, testing it out just to scare me. The men turned me around so my back was facing the armed man.
Pain constricted my body like a snake as cold metal sliced my leg. I winced, giving up and taking the punishment.
I had almost given up on Xander to find me. It has been three months of hell for me, and hell waiting for him every minute of every day.
My heart pulled at my chest too often, thinking he was close, but he never was. Aria stopped talking to me, and I found that fear and sudden panic had taken over.
You really can't live without your mate, can you? I rolled on the floor as the man who punished me, all too horrible for me to ask for his name, finished bruising my leg.
I crawled to the bathroom, trying to get some ethanol like I did many times before and cleaned the cuts. I was nearly hoping he would punish me and cut me every day just so I could bleed out and leave this place to the open arms of the angels.
I sighed and wrapped my legs completely, lathering them in a cream before applying pressure to stop the bleeding. They stopped and I flopped onto the mattress that I called my own.
The only other things I owned were my clothes that I still wear. The ones I was captured in. Some torn up running leggings and a long shirt. I didn't even have my soft fuzzy socks to accompany my soft shirt, now dirty from the months of being underground in a concrete room. I haven't seen daylight since that day I was captured either.
Aria stopped talking to me, and I found that a sign of my depression that had taken over my brain.
I yearned for the touch of Xander, the company of Eliza and Caroline, and the sunlight that I dearly loved. My father was probably leading the charge in looking for me, Jonas not caring, and Xander ripping anything apart to get to me.
Unfortunately, they have had no success. I fell to the hard floor, my bruised knees taking in all the impact, but I didn't feel anything. Just the numbness of my current life.
"Why me...?" I whispered, looking up to the single light that I have sat under countless hours, just to see the color of my skin and how long my hair has grown. I have a bathroom.
Just a shower, a razor, some soap, a sink, and a toilet, but no mirror. It used to have a mirror, but I punched it then used the shards to make weapons. They worked on three men until they were able to take them away from me, wheeling those few to the infirmary.
I always hated hurting them for some reason, like I knew they were just under orders from my capturer. I grabbed the small towel I was provided with and covered with the the freezing water.
I washed my face, a couple stings and a slightly cleaner face as the outcome. I saw the razor and grabbed it, removing the blade and holding it against my exposed wrist.
"Aria? Will you speak up? I know I am being dramatic, but I can't stand this life. I would rather die than have this happen to me," I pleaded once before starting to make the cut. Once the blade touched my pale skin Aria spoke up.
"Stop! Our captor is coming down the stairs"
I dropped the razor before wrapping my one arm extra tight, wanting the cuts to not be noticable.
"Okay, Luna, time for you to see the sun," he growled, grabbing my injured arm. I whimpered and yanked my arm away.
In response he slapped my black eye and grabbed my wrist again, pulling me up the stairs and into the car. He threw me in the backseat and got into another car while another man got into the driver seat of this car and started to drive.
"Luna, don't fret, you'll get wrinkles. You're about to get your wish if some stubborn wolf with a huge attitude towards others works with the boss," the man snarled, stepping onto the gas pedal until the pedal was to the floorboard.
I cured up in a ball, closing my eyes and having the most peaceful rest that I have had in a long time.
