C6 Chapter 6
The devilishly handsome guy blinked and said with a grin, “Hey, I don’t mind if you take your clothes off!”
Hee Yu didn’t commit either way. Instead, he said, “Or maybe you’re about to have a really bad time.”
Watching Hee Yu joke around with his buddy, Yan Jin’s face darkened. He was starting to think bringing Hee Yu here tonight had been a huge mistake.
But if Hee Yu hadn’t refused to play along back at the police station, Yan Jin wouldn’t be in such a foul mood.
And if he hadn’t been in a foul mood, he wouldn’t have let his buddy put this little get-together together in the first place.
God knows, ever since they were kids, those flirtatious eyes of his had stolen the hearts of who knows how many women.
Yan Jin was still debating whether he should just get Hee Yu out of here and move to another spot when a burst of rowdy cheering pulled his attention over.
“Drink, or strip?” Hee Yu asked, staring straight at the back of the devilishly handsome guy’s one and only hand, not holding back at all.
“Drink, obviously!” The guy tossed it back in one go, then said, “Again!”
But it was like the universe had decided to mess with him—and it played out exactly like Hee Yu had predicted. Five rounds in a row, he lost from start to finish. His luck was beyond awful.
“Oh no, my bad—legendary five-loss streak!” Three glasses were already empty on the table as Hee Yu giggled, eyeing the guy who now had nothing left on but a pair of boxer briefs barely covering what mattered.
Thick biceps, a perfectly defined eight-pack, even that mouthwatering V-line—everything was on full display. Who knew what this guy did for a living, but under those clothes, his body was unreal.
Three straight shots of liquor—no one could take that, not even a saint. The guy hadn’t expected that the trap he’d set for Hee Yu would end up snapping shut on him instead.
If he downed a fourth, he’d be making a fool of himself tonight.
Just as the pretty-boy hesitated, a leg suddenly shot out from behind and kicked him square in the butt, nearly sending him stumbling to the floor.
“Hey, hey, hey—what the hell are you doing?!” The pretty-boy’s face darkened.
Yan Jin snorted. “You’re out.”
The pretty-boy, of course, wasn’t having it. “And why’s that? We’ve only played six rounds, and you’re kicking out just me?”
Yan Jin shot him a cold look, his expression turning grim. So he really did want to see Hee Yu strip for him?
If they weren’t childhood friends, Yan Jin would’ve tossed him out on the spot.
Seeing the two of them locked in a standoff, the woman the pretty-boy brought hurried to smooth things over. She shoved a drink into his hand and said, “Come on, just drink this and go cool off for a bit. I’m still here, aren’t I?” As she spoke, the beauty leaned in close to his ear and coaxed softly, “Watching is more fun than playing. Get Yan Jin to join in—maybe he’ll be the one embarrassing himself next.”
When the pretty-boy thought it over, getting kicked out suddenly didn’t sound so bad.
“Haha, fine—I’ll drink!” He downed a full glass of liquor in one go, then raised his brows and tugged at the waistband of his briefs with his right hand. With a sharp snap as it bounced back, he looked at Yan Jin and said, “I’m out, so we’re short a player. You’re up. Otherwise... heh heh...”
Once again reminded just how thick-skinned and shameless his childhood friend could be, Yan Jin got up and sat down beside Hee Yu.
Like having a walking jinx at his side, the next two rounds both landed on Hee Yu.
He forced himself to down two more glasses of liquor, but Hee Yu couldn’t really hold his alcohol. With the burn of it in his system, his heart hammered hard, and his vision even started to blur.
“Alright, alright—keep it going! I’ll be the judge!” The pretty-boy, loving the chaos, jumped in to hype things up before Hee Yu could say anything.
Her mind was still frozen, but her body reacted on instinct, reaching out a hand.
“Ha! Miss Hee again!” the pretty date of the devilishly handsome guy whooped, clapping along. “Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!”
“Take it off... take it off...”
To strip or not to strip—that was the question.
If she didn’t, she could only fake being drunk and passed out, but that depended on whether everyone else was willing to look the other way. Besides, a stunt like that was painfully obvious.
If she did, she’d be left with nothing but two thin scraps of fabric—one over her chest and one between her legs.
Either way, it came down to what one person wanted.
If Yan Jin wanted to humiliate her, then she’d have to go all the way. If Yan Jin didn’t, who could force her?
“Fine. I’ll do it~” With a tipsy, giggly smile, Hee Yu hooked a finger over the shell button at the neckline of her dress.
She didn’t dare ask for help—and she couldn’t.
Just like earlier, when Yan Jin had tried to block drinks for her, only for her flattery to make him drop it.
What if it happened again this time?
Hee Yu realized she’d never once managed to read Yan Jin. It wasn’t that she wasn’t sharp—he was just impossible, changing his mind on a whim.
All she could do now was wait.
She stopped unfastening the button the instant her wrist was caught. Before she could even clap in relief that she’d guessed right, the air beside her seemed to sink—pressure dropping, the temperature going with it.
