C2 Chapter 2

After dropping Bella off at her school, she hurried to her workplace, hoping her boss wouldn't nag at her for coming late. Bella had mistakenly set their alarm for 5 PM instead of 5 AM, causing both of them to oversleep.

She still had problems differentiating AM from PM.

She drove like a madwoman through the bustling city streets, her thoughts swirling with the weight of her responsibilities and the anticipation of another demanding day at Moreau Tech.

Upon entering Silicon Valley, the Moreau Tech Towers, a prominent fixture in the urban landscape, stood before her. They were a breathtaking spectacle of modern futuristic architecture, each one symbolizing a distinct division of Moreau Tech.

They were designed to form a star shape when viewed from above, and at the center was the administrative hub, the connection point between all divisions.

The first tower, TDH (Technology Devices and Hardware), was a gleaming structure of sleek lines and metallic surfaces that resembled a quantum-like device. Its design hinted at the limitless potential of technology.

The second tower, SAS (Software and AI Solutions), was a sight to behold; it stood tall, shaped like a sophisticated AI robot, a symbol of the evolving world of software and artificial intelligence. This was her division.

The third tower, E&S (Energy and Sustainability), showcased eco-friendly technology, with solar panels adorning its exterior, bearing witness to the company's commitment to renewable energy and a greener world.

The fourth tower, HMS (Healthcare and Medical Solutions), resembled a DNA string with elements that showcased the precision and care inherent in the field, a striking representation of the dedication to healthcare and well-being.

And the fifth tower, TST (Transportation and Space Technology), soared high into the sky, designed like a majestic spacecraft, reflecting the company's passion for space exploration and advanced transportation technology.

Its aerodynamic design hinted at the journeys that lay beyond Earth's boundaries.

Amid this futuristic skyline, the administrative hub was the central tower, a place where all these divisions converged.

It was the epicenter of innovation and progress, facilitating the coordination and integration of ideas and breakthroughs from every corner of Moreau Tech.

She guided her car towards the entrance of the underground staff parking lot and surprisingly found an available spot, even though she was running late.

Once parked, she exited her car and quickly headed to the elevator that would take her to the lobby.

In the hallway, she paused briefly to check her outfit in the expansive wall mirror. She wore a simple white long-sleeved shirt and gray trousers cinched with a brown belt. Her trusty black flats provided the comfort her feet needed, and her curly 3C hair surprisingly cooperated, appearing well-groomed.

She applied her signature red lipstick and smacked her lips together to spread it evenly.

She smiled, satisfied with her outfit and appearance. After all, she never claimed to be a fashionista.

As she made her way to her work station, she couldn't help but overhear snippets of hushed conversations among her colleagues.

The topic of discussion was Régis Moreau.
