C31 Babies Do Your Best!
Could he possibly be the president's secret child?
Consider this: Zhan Yeling is already 28 years old, a very handsome man at that age. It would actually be more suspicious if he didn't have any women in his life.
So, it would make sense if an illegitimate child came knocking now.
The receptionist was careful not to show any neglect. After all, special assistant Gu had made it clear that anyone with concerns about the company or seeking Director Zhan should be able to relay their message.
As the newly appointed president, Zhan Yeling was intent on establishing order, cleaning house, and understanding the ins and outs of the company. He valued honest feedback, even though it might be uncomfortable to hear.
Director Zhan was someone who appreciated the truth over flattery.
After making the call, the receptionist courteously instructed Su Mumu, "Please take the elevator right ahead to the 36th floor, where you'll find the CEO's office."
The receptionist was wary of making a misstep in front of someone associated with Director Zhan.
"Thank you," Su Mumu replied with a polite smile, leading the six little ones into the elevator.
Rich Corporation was the most prestigious, influential, and esteemed group in the capital. Su Mumu had braced herself for an ordeal in trying to meet with such a high-profile leader, expecting it would take a Herculean effort to get an audience.
Yet, here she was, surprisingly able to access the leader's office with ease.
It appeared that the leadership at Rich Corporation was quite approachable.
Inside the elevator, the reflective metal shone brightly, casting a radiant glow on the six little cherubic faces.
The six youngsters were neither noisy nor disruptive, quietly staying close to Su Mumu.
Each little mind was busy strategizing how to best leverage their strengths later on and reclaim what was rightfully theirs.
"Ding!" The elevator came to a halt at the top floor.
Su Mumu, with the children in tow, stepped out into a corridor that was opulently decorated and spotlessly clean, yet eerily deserted.
Uncertain of which direction to take, she chose a path at random.
After walking past an elegant glass door, she suddenly doubled back, her gaze fixed on the bold lettering beside the door frame: CEO's Office.
CEO? That means the top executive.
Yeah, it should be good to seek him out.
So, Su Mumu raised her hand and knocked on the door.
...
Silence. No response.
The door was ajar. She pushed it open only to find the room empty.
Not a soul in sight!
But the six little ones didn't care whether anyone was inside; their tiny bodies eagerly jostled to get in.
Some climbed onto the luxurious leather sofa to sit, others onto the swivel chair, spinning around, and a few grabbed the remote control, pressing buttons at random.
As the children entered, they forgot all about behaving, their innate curiosity taking over as they played to their hearts' content.
Su Mumu was in a frenzy. "Qianqian, don't mess with the remote control; that's Director Zhan's."
"Junjun, don't draw on the papers; those are contracts."
"Oh dear, Mama, don't scratch the sofa."
"Sixth baby, you can't eat that; those are coffee beans!"
Su Mumu was overwhelmed.
The little ones, upon encountering anything novel, just couldn't contain themselves.
And Su Mumu, without the ability to be in multiple places at once, would stop one only for another to start causing trouble.
In the midst of her panic, Su Mumu's gaze suddenly caught a glimpse of a dashing figure passing by the glass door.
It was a special kind of glass, allowing those inside to see out, but not the other way around.
Su Mumu recognized him instantly – the attractive man she had seen outside the Ritch Group. In her pursuit of him, she had even lost track of the little ones.
Today, she had encountered him again, and so close by.
She absolutely could not let him slip out of her sight once more!
