C5 Did She Meet Her Father?

In their eyes and minds, there was only room for handsome guys, and that was certainly true for Su Mumu.

The six little dumplings were left by the roadside by the only adult, standing in a row and creating a strikingly beautiful sight.

Passersby couldn't help but pause to admire them for a few seconds.

The three treasures, utterly confused, pondered. "Does Auntie Mumu not want us anymore?"

Dabao Qianqian's youthful brow furrowed with concern. "She said she was taking us to sign up for something, but then she ran off when she saw that man."

Sixth baby gazed upward, starstruck. "Look at that long-legged uncle, he's so handsome..."

Oh no! Was another boy about to whisk away their most cherished little sister?

The five little brothers simultaneously craned their necks, following their little sister's gaze.

"Thud!" The handsome uncle they were ogling had just reached them when his legs gave out, and he collapsed.

The six little ones were so startled they instinctively stepped back.

Their six little heads, perfectly in sync, bowed down to stare at the long-legged uncle who lay unconscious before them.

Sixth baby clapped a hand over her mouth. "Did he just die?"

Dabao Qianqian scratched his head with grave concern. "He must be sick."

Erbao Junjun's mouth hung open in amazement, as if he'd discovered a new world. "Wow, this uncle looks just like Qianqian."

Sanbao chimed in, "Right, he looks like Qianqian, and like Junjun too."

Mama, the fourth treasure, grinned cheekily. "Could he be our daddy? Let's take him home."

Lele, the fifth treasure, stared with a puzzled expression at the uncle lying on the ground, wondering where this uncle came from and where he himself was.

Dabao Qianqian, ever the responsible one, had promised to look after his siblings. His chubby hand waved authoritatively, "Everyone step back. Mommy said we shouldn't approach strangers."

"But we don't have a daddy. Let's take him home and he can be our daddy," proposed Mama, the fourth treasure, the most playful one with the wildest imagination.

Junjun, the second treasure, raised both hands in support. "I agree."

Sanbao followed suit, echoing, "Agreed."

Sixth baby, a charming boy with a fondness for rice gruel, enthusiastically raised both hands, "Let's bring him home."

Subsequently, the plump-cheeked children who had voted in favor turned to Lele to seek his opinion.

Feeling shy under their gaze, Lele gave a timid nod.

Qianqian, the eldest, let out a sigh as if reluctantly conceding, "Alright then."

The minority would follow the majority's decision.

Qianqian set out to fulfill the wishes of his younger siblings.

He pressed his phone watch and made a call, "Officer Shu, my dad has fainted, and we're lost. My phone can pinpoint our location..."

It was rush hour, but the streets were unusually empty, so no one had noticed the man surrounded and fainted amidst the six little ones.

Within three minutes, the police car arrived.

Five minutes later, the officers had helped the little ones bring their "Papa" back home.

"The doctor has checked, and your dad simply fell asleep. There's nothing to worry about; he just needs some rest," Officer Shu reassured the children, offering them peace of mind.

Seeing the six adorable and well-mannered children, the officer couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness for the family.

"Thank you, Officer Shu. My mom's bed is big; let's have Papa rest in her room," Qianqian suggested with the confidence of someone far beyond his years, being the most mature among the siblings.

The two officers helped carry Zhan Yeling to the room and settled him onto the bed.

Concerned for the children's safety alone at home, the officer crouched to meet Qianqian eye-to-eye, "Do you have your mom's phone number? If so, call her to come back and look after you. It's not safe for you kids to be alone."

"I can take care of my brothers and sisters. Don't worry, Officer Shu, our mom will be back soon," Qianqian assured him, patting his chest confidently.

The officer couldn't help but smile at the endearing sight.

The children were so mature, likely used to looking after themselves at home.

Once the police had departed, the little ones gathered around the bed, curiously eyeing the handsome officers.

Sixth baby gently pinched his nose with her tiny hands. "What a high nose, and such a pretty mouth too."

Junjun took a mirror and alternated between admiring his own reflection and comparing it to the man with silver hair lying on the bed. With the innocence of youth, he exclaimed, "He's as handsome as I am."

"Bang!" The door was abruptly pushed open.

Qianqian panted heavily, announcing, "Ma, Mama's coming."

"Let's hurry outside."

Amidst the commotion, the six little ones lined up obediently in the living room, and the door was shut behind them.

Xiong Miao walked in to find six small figures standing in a neat row, their dark eyes darting around as if they were hatching some mischievous plan.

"What are you kids up to?" Xiong Miao asked, her face covered with one hand while she hung her backpack by the door with the other.

Despite her efforts to conceal it, the observant Qianqian noticed the bruising. "Mommy, did you get into a fight? Are you hurt?"

Xiong Miao's mouth twitched slightly, realizing she couldn't keep it a secret. She dropped her hand, revealing her injuries.

"Look at me, I've turned into a real panda," she joked.

Her bruises weren't just on the corner of her mouth; they surrounded her eyes as well.

Clearly, she had been hit.

"Mommy, I'll get you some water," Qianqian offered, her heart aching with concern.

"Mommy, let me help," Sixth baby approached, looking up with concern and reaching out a small hand, not wanting her mother to be in pain.

"Mommy, I'll get the ointment for you, don't cry," Junjun said, scurrying on his little legs to the fridge.

But the medicine box was placed too high. Even on tiptoes, his little hands couldn't reach it.

"Thank you, my darlings. Mommy's okay, no need for ointment. Why don't you all go play in the toy room for a bit? I'm feeling dizzy and need to lie down," Xiong Miao said, her heart filled with the sweet concern of her children, pushing away the bitterness of the day.

She had just returned from a job interview at a design firm. Upon arriving in her neighborhood and stepping out of the taxi, she was confronted and beaten by Xiong Jingxi.

Su Hongyi was the one who proposed to keep her as his mistress, but she turned him down. Yet, that scoundrel Su Hongyi had the nerve to play the victim first.

Xiong Jingxi proved to be just as merciless. Without bothering to uncover the truth, she accused her of seducing Su Hongyi.

Blind to justice, she took advantage of her vulnerability and gave her a beating.

Ugh, those despicable men and women are truly cut from the same cloth, a match made in heaven!

Xiong Miao's head was still ringing; she might even have a concussion.

She needed to get some rest as soon as possible.

Xiong Miao burst through her bedroom door and collapsed onto the bed without a second thought.

Zhan Yeling had been laid in the bed by the police, and sixth baby, not wanting him to get cold, had covered him with a blanket, leaving only his face exposed.

Xiong Miao, not paying close attention, was unaware that another person was lying next to her.

Her eyelids grew heavy, and within seconds, she was fast asleep.

Ten minutes later, the front door of Xiong Miao's house was forcefully opened from the outside.

Xiong Jingxi led a throng of people inside. Some were wielding cameras, others microphones, and some came armed with notebooks and pens—a horde of reporters.

Finding the living room empty, Xiong Jingxi excitedly directed them, "That temptress must be staying here. Let's search quickly. Once we find her, snap away. Let the whole world see her sly, seductive face!"
