C2 I Won't Serve You Guys Anymore!

When the doctor had declared that Khloe had no chance of waking up, it was then that Toby Fuller had reluctantly consented to her request. Since then, Toby had always been cold towards her.

Sonia Reed lifted her chin defiantly and met his gaze. "I'm your wife. Why should I have to move out just because she's back?"

Toby's expression darkened as he looked at her, his eyes growing increasingly intimidating. "Because Khloe claims it was you who ran her over five years ago!"

Sonia was momentarily taken aback, but then she laughed—a laugh tinged with bitterness. "If I told you I didn't do it, would you believe me?"

Toby's disdainful stare was his only response.

"You malicious woman, I wish I could make you suffer a thousand times more than what Khloe endured!" he said, his face a mask of severity.

The malice in his eyes left Sonia reeling. After five years of devotion, he still detested her as much as ever.

"I didn't do it!" she insisted, her lips pressed tightly together.

"You're a clever woman; you should know what to do," Toby said from his position of authority, his dark eyes cold and unforgiving.

Then he was gone, leaving behind a chilling silence.

Sonia stared at her pale, exhausted reflection. Was this really her? She used to be so proud, yet here she was, reduced to such humility in this relationship. It was laughable.

Finally, she let out a long breath. "It's time to free myself."

The next morning, Toby took Khloe to the hospital for a follow-up appointment.

Sonia stood before the mirror, removing the apron she had worn for the past five years. She slipped into a white dress and descended the stairs, suitcase in hand.

Axel Fuller was lounging on the couch, watching TV. He looked up and asked, "Where are you going?"

Sonia gave him a brief, indifferent glance and continued towards the door without a word.

Sensing something amiss, Axel quickly stood and grabbed her suitcase. "Are you deaf? Didn't you hear me talking to you? Is the room clean? Have you cooked? Where do you think you're going?"

At sixteen, Axel lacked manners, showing no respect for his sister-in-law and even criticizing her.

Sonia methodically pried his fingers off her suitcase. "Listen up, you little brat. From now on, I'm not taking care of you anymore."

He wasn't really hurt, but he yelled loudly, "Mom, come quick! This awful woman is bullying me!"

"What's going on, Axel?" Ruth Lee came downstairs, her face clouding over instantly. She approached Sonia, brandishing a feather duster and scolding, "My God! You wretched woman, bullying my son! I'll beat you senseless!"

Ruth had attacked Sonia before, and Sonia had tolerated it for Toby's sake.

But not this time.

Sonia snatched the duster and flung it to the floor, her voice icy. "Try hitting me one more time, I dare you."

Ruth was momentarily speechless.

Regaining her composure, she screamed, "Sonia Reed, you've gone too far! I'll have my son divorce you!"

Previously, Sonia had always avoided conflict with Ruth for the sake of the family matriarch, and to prevent Toby's disdain.

She used to be scared.

Not anymore.

"Suit yourself," Sonia said coolly.

Ignoring Ruth's tantrum, Sonia dragged her suitcase away from the Fuller home.

Outside, a red Ferrari waited. The man in the driver's seat was both handsome and roguish. He beckoned to her. "Sonia, come on, get in."

Sonia climbed into the car, and together, they drove away.
