C19 Freya's POV; Lustful desires
~Freya~
"Freya Hawthorne, or should I say Freya Wolfson," Raphael began as he rose from his seat.
"Greetings elder Raphael."
"So modest," he said, taking steps towards me.
I took steps backwards in a bid to avoid an ugly encounter with Raphael. I didn't know what he wanted, but I sure as hell didn't want to find out.
"You requested to meet with me?" I asked, trying my best to mask the unease in my voice.
"Yes," he responded, stopping in his tracks as he stroke his beard. "We met in a rather unpleasant manner, I wanted to apologize for the ugly scene earlier. Lucien and I just had a little misunderstanding," he stated chuckling darkly.
Misunderstanding? Is that how he handles a misunderstanding?
"What pack are you from?" He asked cocking a brow at me.
"Sunfire," I responded swiftly. I wanted this to be over with as soon as possible. I didn't want to stay a moment longer in his presence.
"Oh, so you're the forgotten daughter aye?" He asked enthusiastically.
I remained silent as I didn't want to open up old wounds. My past life and now had nothing to do with anyone, much less him.
"That's fine, well I called you here so we could talk about Lucien."
I was taken aback by his words. Talk about Lucien? But what for?
"Why?" I asked.
My curiousity had reached its peak.
"Well, about your marriage. I know it was arranged as a peace treaty from your father, but have you ever thought, why? Why of everyone, you're the one Lucien chose?"
His question left me puzzled. I didn't understand what was going on. I couldn't help but feel my fear engulf me as his gaze turned dark.
"I don't understand."
"Your pack is the one hundredth pack to offer their daughter for marriage as a peace treaty, yet he chose you. Why?"
It couldn't be, could it? All he's saying were just lies. I'm sure he's trying to use me to get to Lucien. They've been in a long lasting argument for so long. This is all a facade.
"Be careful Freya, you don't know Lucien as well as I do. He only uses people for his advantage and after that, he throws away like nothing. Besides how sure are you that he's not having an extra marital affair?"
My stomach twisted in a knot as my breaths shuddered. He's rumoured to be the man-whore, of course he's probably looking for new prey.
Thinking back to last events, I couldn't help but wonder if that was all I was to him. A woman he can touch whenever he feels like it. Remembering last night's incidence, a surge of mixed emotions flooded my mind.
Could he really be playing me? Am I really a fool?
"Freya!" Lucien yelled.
Turning my gaze towards him, I could feel the fury emanating from him. His silver eyes widened as his veins could be seen on his hands. Approaching me, he grabbed me pulling me behind him.
"What did you to her!" He yelled at Raphael.
"Nothing Lucien, I was just having a talk with your wife about the upcoming ball," Raphael responded nonchalantly as he turned to walk away.
"Oh and Lucien, don't forget, there's a special guest coming, you need to behave yourself," Raphael sneered as he closed the door him.
Turning around, Lucien grabbed me as he pinned me against the table, his eyes filled with rage as he yelled, "Why did you come see him!"
"He asked to see me," I responded coldly.
"Don't you ever come to see him alone again! He's bad news!" Lucien cautioned.
"At least he didn't leave without a last word like you!" I retorted.
I was deeply hurt waking up not to find him beside me this morning. I couldn't understand what I did wrong. All I wanted was to be nice to him, and show him that I really care, but he? He just leaves without a warning.
Looking at me with widened eyes, Lucien chuckled as he gripped my waist firmly. Eating up the little distance between us as he asked, "You thought I left you?"
Rolling my eyes, I responded coldly, "Oh, of course you didn't. You walked out of the room without a word since all I am to you is a wh*re."
Cupping my chin harshly, he compelled me to meet his gaze. His silver eyes sparkled with discontent and warmth. I'd never seen him this way before.
"Never use that word in describing yourself, ever again. I will never leave you Freya, this is my vow to you," he stated sternly.
Vow? Did he just make a vow to me? I was taken aback by his words. He didn't mean it right? Argh! Why now Lucien. I was confused, I couldn't understand what was going on with him. Did he really want to make this work?
"Vow?" I asked uncertain of what he just said. I needed to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
"Yes, vow. Freya, With each touch of our skin, you awaken the wildness within me, igniting an insatiable desire that burns hotter than hell itself."
Hearing his words, I stared into his silver eyes. The heat simmering between us was palpable as our breaths got heavier. Caressing my face, he moved some strands of my hair behind my ears.
In his eyes, I could see desire that burned from within. Feeling my feet go numb, I lost balance. He tightened his grip round my waist, pulling me close as our lips grazed each other.
"Lucien," I called weakly.
I couldn't understand what spell he cast on me that made me weak every time we were close. As he bit my lips softly, I swallowed hard as he was about to kiss me.
"Sire?" Gabriel called out to Lucien, disrupting our intimate moment.
My cheeks reddened with embarrassment as a stole a glance at Gabriel who stood with his jaw dropped to the floor.
"What?" Lucien responded coldly not breaking his gaze from mine.
"Alpha Jasper has requested the presence of Luna," he responded swiftly averting his gaze.
Drifting my gaze from Gabriel back to Lucien, I could feel the rage boil from within him. What was he going to do?
