"Ivy, I'm sorry for what just happened, but it wasn't meant to," I stated, my voice low as I took off my shirt.

"Why can't you just love me?" Ivy asked, tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at me blankly. I could feel the disappointment from her intensed stare.

"I just can't," I responded, handing her my shirt. Snatching the shirt from my hands
