C10 Go Away

‘They were beautiful.’ Annabella thought, staring at the three women. Of course, these were the kinds of women he was attracted to. All three of them were blondes, she noted and sighed. She could never compare to that because she was only a plain jane.

‘I don’t want to either.’ She reminded herself. Mark and this marriage were the last things she wanted. Because of him, she had been struggling to focus for the last few days, and now he had decided to throw a party knowing it would affect her. He didn’t care about her either, so she shouldn’t expect anything better from him.

Right now, all she wanted was something to eat, and then perhaps after that, she could concentrate on her book because it seemed the party was over. She glanced at the three women again and heaved a sigh of relief. If they kept him occupied, then he’d stay far away from her. She couldn’t wait for the 30 days to be up so she could walk away from him and his family without a second thought.

“What are you staring at?” one of the blondes asked, walking towards her.

Annabella ignored her and started to walk away, but one of the other blondes stopped her. She glared at her and gritted her teeth. “Get out of my way.” Her stomach was starting to growl really loudly, and she didn’t have time for this.

“Is the help allowed to talk to us like this, Lydia?” the blonde in front of her asked the one tugging on her head, and all three of them laughed.

The help? Annabella bit her lip to stop herself from laughing. Her stomach was already hurting because she was hungry; laughing on top of that would make the pain unbearable.

“I don’t think so, Aisha, she’s, after all, just the help.” Lydia responded, glaring at Annabella, and Annabella shot her a look of her own. “She’s so rude.” Annabella groaned as Lydia hit her head.

“Get your filthy hands off me; I don’t even know where they’ve been.” Annabella shivered, just wondering what Mark had made these girls do. He was a pretty demanding lover, if anything she had experienced in the last few days was anything to go by. She blushed as she remembered how he had placed her hands on his manhood and forced her to bring him to climax.

“Awwwn, does the maid also want to have some fun?” Aisha teased, reaching for her hair, but Annabella shoved her hand away. She really didn’t want them touching her.

“I think she’s shy.” The last woman decided to join in on the fun. Annabella rolled her eyes and took a few steps back, putting them all in a circle. “Should we put her in her place?”

“Not before she gets us food, Faye; I’m starving.”

Aisha, Lydia, and Faye.

Lydia rolled her eyes in response to Faye’s statement. “You’re always thinking about your stomach, Fa. How do you eat so many calories?” she asked in horror, looking at Faye’s body in judgment.

It was then Annabella noticed that, unlike the other two, Faye was a bit on the thick side. She almost felt sorry for her, almost. She decided this would be a good time than any to make her escape before the three noticed. With her hands tucked around her stomach, Annabella tiptoed away from them and waited, watching if they would notice.

“What are you girls doing out here? The party is not even over yet.” Mark appeared just as she took a step back, and Annabella cursed her luck.

“We got hungry, Addy, I can’t do much on an empty stomach, you know.” Lydia replied, walking over to him.

She placed her hand on her doorknob and felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, she found herself staring into Aisha’s eyes. ‘Well, at least their eyes weren’t the same color.’ Annabella noted as she looked away from those green orbs. ‘That would be completely weird.’

“Go get us some wine from the cellar, you.” Aisha said, Faye is now forgotten.

Annabella glared at her but chose not to respond. She didn’t have the strength to trade words with these women.

“Are you deaf then? Go get us some wine and get some for our man here.” Lydia turned to look at Mark. “Baby, do you want one?”

“You shouldn’t talk to her like that.” She heard Mark say as she turned the doorknob. Shocked, she turned back and stared at him in confusion. Was he defending her?

“Why? Isn’t she just a servant? You shouldn’t be nice to help.”

Emily leaned against her room door and watched in silence. She was still in shock that he had taken her side and she wanted to see the end of this.

“She’s my girlfriend so you shouldn’t speak to her like that.” He yelled in reply, and Emily tripped. She groaned and held the wall to steady herself, glaring at the man. What was he doing? His girlfriend? Was he that drunk?

“Matt! Greg! Nicholas!” Mark called, glaring at the three women angrily. Who did they think they were to walk into his house and insult Annabella like that? The help? She was his wife! Stupid women. “Matt..”

“We are here, boss.” A bulky man appeared, and Emily recognized him immediately. He was Matt, one of the bodyguards that had been assigned to her. “Ms.” he acknowledged her with a nod, and she sent him a weak smile in return.

“Get these three women out of my house, and I don’t ever want to see them in my house again.” Mark ordered, and Matt turned to the three women.

“Baby, it’s me.” Lydia tried to reach out for Mark’s arm, but he shoved her away, not batting an eyelash when she fell on the ground with a thud.

“Get them out of my sight.” He insisted, and in a blink of an eye, Matt bundled all three women in his grip just as the other men arrived.

“Boss.”

“Get them out of here!”

Emily found her legs taking her into the living room as Matt dragged the women towards the door, their screams echoing throughout the house. She glanced at Mark; a part of her expected him to do something to stop this, but to her amazement, he stood there rooted to the spot.

“Please baby, don’t do this.” Lydia begged trying to break free, but Matt shot her a hard glare.

“Don’t try to be smart, just keep walking.”

Emily shivered unconsciously and wrapped her arms around herself as the door closed behind Matt. She hoped she never had to endure that experience ever. Yes, Matt had never disrespected her before, but if it was an order from his boss, then he wouldn’t turn him down.

She slumped on the three settee and felt it hugging her. Somewhere in all this drama, she had forgotten to eat, and she wasn’t even hungry anymore; all thanks to Lydia and her friends. With her eyes shut tight, she let herself bask in the quiet, thankful for some silence. The party had deafened her and chased sleep away, but now she could finally getsome much-needed rest.

‘She’s my girlfriend, so you shouldn’t speak to her like that.’ His words from before rang in her head again, and she shook her head. Perhaps rest wasn’t even an option.

“They are gone, boss.” Matt said, walking back into the house, and Emily realized that Mark had been in the living room with her the whole time.

Rising to her feet, she walked off, needing time to process everything that had just taken place.

“Why would he defend me?” she asked no one in particular as she crossed her legs under her. Why would her fake husband defend her in front of his women?

“She’s my girlfriend, so you shouldn’t speak to her that way.”

Emily groaned and held her head, pleading with the voices to be quiet. She had come to her room hoping that she could finally get some sleep. The women were out of the house, and so was the party, so why couldn’t she forget what he had said and just sleep?

“Knock knock...” she heard and raised her head, frowning. That was Mark’s voice. What did he want again?

The stress of the whole day descended on her, and she sighed falling back on her bed. Perhaps if she ignored him, he’d go away.

She closed her eyes and felt herself drifting off just as his voice spoke up again.

“Knock knock.” The voice came again, and Emily grunted rolling on her side.

“Why won’t you let me sleep?” she yelled not moving from her position. “Go away.” She yelled again and held her head moaning in pain.

“Knock knock, you’re supposed to open up girlfriend.” he said, and she was up on her feet walking towards the door.

She was going to give him a piece of her mind for this rudeness.
