The silence in the safe house was suffocating, broken only by the low hum of the ancient refrigerator in the corner. Reyes was drawing out the plan with Ethan, while Grayson fidgeted nervously, his eyes darting nervously to every shadow in the dimly lit room.

I paced the room, feeling restless. I tried to steady my breathing
