C19 Guarding Silently

At midnight, the lights were dimmed, and only the faint glow of the streetlamps guarded the sleeping city.

In the silence of the campus, a white figure appeared on the deserted school road. It seemed to be walking slowly, but in the blink of an eye it had reached the school building, and in the blink of an eye the white figure was gone from the first floor.

Yin Tu, who was sleeping beside Yue Ling on the tree, suddenly raised his head and looked into the distance." Creak." When the door opened, Yin Tu looked down and saw a person walking out of the boys' dormitory on the first floor. His clear eyes looked towards where Yin Tu was.

The moonlight shone on that person's body, causing him to become somewhat illusory, "Just guard her like this." His usually gentle voice was a little cold in the cold night.

Yin Tu was stunned for a moment, then remembered that it was midnight, and those who had seen him could see him. Yin Tu did not answer Luh Fei's question, but returned his gaze to the dormitory where Yue Ling was.

Luh Fei did not hear Yin Tu's answer, but Yin Tu's actions had already answered for him.

His heart was bitter, but he could not say it out loud. He smiled bitterly and turned around to return to his dormitory. He just couldn't sleep, so he turned over and over in bed. His bed happened to be next to the window, and he saw Yin Tu on the tree.

Just as Luh Fei was about to close the door, he heard a "thank you." The voice seemed to come from the bottom of his heart, and he couldn't ignore it.

Luh Fei paused for a moment before understanding what Yin Tu was referring to. His face was a little pale, and he closed the door without saying anything.

Why did he say thank you? Shouldn't he be protecting Yue Ling?

No, no...

Because you're not the person she likes, so...

You deserve to be thanked.

Clutching his chest, Luh Fei gritted his teeth and did not let himself shout out. He should have known, he should have known...

Yin Tu did not look at Luh Fei, nor did he have the heart to care. All of his attention was on the girl who was sleeping.

As if she was dreaming of a bad dream, the girl frowned, her cherry lips slightly opened, and her slender fingers were embedded into the blanket.

Yin Tu flashed and sat down on the side of Yue Ling's bed. He reached out his hand to smooth Yue Ling's brows, and with his other hand, he straightened Yue Ling's hand. Gradually, Yue Ling's breathing became steady, her brows relaxed, and her hands were no longer tightly clenched.

Seeing that Yue Ling would no longer have nightmares, Yin Tu returned to his original place.

Just as Yin Tu was about to leave, a voice that he was extremely familiar with sounded, "Tu."

Yin Tu suddenly turned his head, only to realize that Yue Ling did not wake up, but was calling out to him in her sleep. Yin Tu leaned forward, he heard Yue Ling say, "Tu, don't leave me."

The corner of his mouth curled up as he lowered his head and kissed the lips of the girl he loved. "Yin Tu will never leave Yue Ling."

Forever...

So, you can't leave me either.

Early in the morning, Yue Ling yawned as she entered the bathroom. Looking at herself in the mirror, Yue Ling reached out her hand to touch her lower lip. She kept feeling that there was an aura that belonged to Yin Tu on it. Was it because of the dream last night?

Last night, when she was half asleep, she seemed to have seen Yin Tu kiss her. Was it a dream or was it real?

Yue Ling did not think too much about it. The dormitory was shared by eight people, but there was only one bathroom, so she could not stay for too long. Otherwise, the people behind her would either not have time to wash up or be late.

After quickly washing up, she changed into her school uniform. As soon as Yue Ling went out, her roommates walked in, packed up their things, and Yue Ling carried her schoolbag and went out.

When she went down to the first floor, Yue Ling saw Luh Fei, who had just left the room. "Good morning, class monitor!"

Hearing Yue Ling's voice, Luh Fei stopped and turned around to see Yue Ling walking towards him. He lowered his eyes and forced himself to suppress the emotions that should not have appeared.

"Class monitor, you don't look well. Did you not sleep well?"

"Yes." Luh Fei answered and walked past Yue Ling to the cafeteria. Luh Fei had indeed not slept all night. His entire body was in low pressure.

Yue Ling blinked her eyes and stood where she was. She also walked towards the cafeteria. She was not stupid. Luh Fei obviously did not want to talk to her, and she was not the kind of person who would recklessly stick to him. On the contrary, she was good at observing and knew how to be tactful. She would give Luh Fei the distance he wanted, but she felt a little disappointed.

After all... she and Luh Fei were friends, not the best of friends, but friends who knew each other very well, didn't they?

Although Luh Fei forced himself not to have any improper thoughts about Yue Ling, he still couldn't bear to leave her. Besides, he knew that Yue Ling cared a lot about him as a friend, so he could only treat her like a classmate. However, Yue Ling, who had always been sensitive, felt that Luh Fei was obviously distancing himself from her.

Yue Ling did not know the reason, but she had a faint feeling that it had something to do with her introducing Yin Tu to the travel expenses. She felt a little uncomfortable in her heart, but Yue Ling did not explain anything. She would not interfere with anyone's thoughts, even if this person was Luh Fei who knew her very well.

She got up and went outside to get some water. Because she was distracted, she didn't notice that the water was already full. When the hot water was about to overflow, the hot water switch flipped back on its own. Only then did Yue Ling come back to her senses. She covered the lid and returned to the classroom, but the corner of her mouth curled up slightly.

When the bell rang, Yue Ling put the water bottle on the table and went downstairs with her classmates.

The sun in mid-April already had the shadow of summer. If she stayed under the sun, she would feel hot, let alone after exercise.

Many students took off their coats after exercise and threw them aside when the teacher told them to gather.

When they finally dispersed, some of the students talked about buying ice water, but there were always some who reminded them not to drink ice water in this weather, and their words of concern were washed away by the heat and floated into the air without a trace.

"Yue Ling, here." A student handed Yue Ling a bottle of mineral water that had not been frozen, but Yue Ling shook her head. In her hand was her own bottle of water.

"I brought water."

"Wow, you actually brought water down." It was good to bring water, but it was a bit of a hassle, because they weren't the only class in PE class that had to change places all the time, and they had to find a place to put their water bottles, so very few people brought water bottles down.

"Yes, thank you." Yue Ling smiled, and her eyes flashed.

"No need." The student waved his hand and left.

Yue Ling lowered her head to drink her water, but did not try to persuade him to stay.

"Class monitor, Yue Ling brought her own water." The student who handed water to Yue Ling threw the mineral water to Luh Fei and sat down on the side.

When Luh Fei heard the answer, his gaze passed through the crowd and landed on Yue Ling, who was drinking water. He was Yue Ling's deskmate, so he naturally knew that Yue Ling did not bring any water with her. Furthermore, Yue Ling had only fetched water before class, and the water was boiling hot. Furthermore, Yue Ling's water bottle was a thermos, so how could she possibly drink it so quickly?

While Luh Fei was puzzled, he saw Yue Ling stand up and walk towards the botanical garden.

The botanical garden in the sports field was already abandoned. No one dared to go there. Who knew if a snake would suddenly appear?

Luh Fei stopped for a moment. Seeing that Yue Ling had already entered, he walked over. Just as he arrived at the botanical garden, Luh Fei heard Yue Ling's happy voice.

"Tu, I knew it was you."

Outside the botanical garden, the sunlight shone down, but it could not warm his already cold heart.
