C12 Mishap

SEVEN

What mishap did I make? It was a terrible mistake that I should not have made, but I couldn't help myself. I have an angel's heart, but I have betrayed the rules I am following. And perhaps I deserve to be where I am now. But I'm content with where that reason is now. I still can't believe I helped an immortal person to his will and now here I am, but what makes it even more surprising is that even though it is expected that a person should have a grateful heart to thank me, coming from a king who is now an immortal one is an honor for me to serve him.

I was ordered to erase this person's memories, but seeing her eyes, hearing her pleas, and seeing the great love that shines through her eyes makes it impossible to resist. We, angels, shouldn't have this emotion enter our subject, but I was surprised to feel her emotions overflowing with pain and everything.

I can still clearly remember our conversation way back then...

FLASHBACK

“The one you should be afraid of...Melecient”

“Why on earth would she be there?” Helios asked as he looks at the angry sky and the clouds were flashing with lightnings.

“You knew her?” instead she answered him with a question.

“Maybe?” Helios looks at Seven while arching his right eyebrow and crossing his arms.

“We don’t question deities Helios and we don’t interfere with their plans may it be good or horrid and I am not interested besides what will I get with that?”

”Horrid? Then why the hell they are deities? They are supposed to be the pleasant one.”

“Look at me, I am the angel of d.e.a.t.h,” she smirks as she spelled the last word.

“I exempt you,” he says, and Seven can’t help not to laugh.

“People say the darkness “presses in,” it doesn’t. The darkness kisses up to your skin closer than a mother and whispers excitement into your ears. The darkness is your best friend, it’s funny and glib, flattering and cool. The darkness will be your favourite thing right up until it blocks your exits, then it has no reason to hide. If it was easy to spot darkness, there wouldn’t be a problem. How often are you confused with day and night? But I can tell you now, if you don’t understand your own emotions and motivations, I can’t help you. You are a character, this is your story, now what do you want? What do you fear? Know that and you can unlock your own cage and step into the light,” out of the blue she said and Helios can’t help not to look at her.

“Have you gone into a psychiatrist angel? I don’t know where you are getting at huh, you’re being so hard to understand I can’t keep up with you. Sometimes you’re telling words I can’t understand you may seem to see me understand your words but puhlease peasy please I can’t understand you. Had you gone mad because I didn’t sign your contract?” he stated, looking through her eyes as if he was the one who had gone crazy.

“There was a time when sunlight bathed the surface of this planet. Rays touching everything at one time or another, boundless, almost endless energy travelling even to the smallest regions of this fragile Earth. What a rich and contrasting world we had lived in. Darkness has taken its stranglehold, squeezing life and consuming our memories, turning them into forgotten lost dreams. I had forgotten mine Helios,” Seven stated and Helios can sense the sadness through her voice and even though she averted her eyes from him, he can feel the loneliness behind those eyes.

“You’re an angel, an angel of death maybe, but why would would your memories being erased?” he asked, and he got a little curious about her.

“Angels like me don’t have names, we only have numbers, the ranking numbers that is why I am seven,” she continued still looking through the glass window.

“That shows why, because as the time you have told me your name I came into conclusions on why the heck your name is Seven, it’s too cliche you know what I mean? And why you angel of death don’t have names by the way?” he swallowed and seemed to sweat, he knows angels of death have a short temper upon asking tons of questions and they can kill you anytime.

“Because we don’t deserve it,” she answered, and tears were swelling in her eyes that she immediately wipes it away using the back of her hand.

“I don’t know that angels have emotions,” he said and can’t now look into her eyes. He doesn’t know how to comfort people around him, it’s making him uncomfortable for not knowing what to do.

“Quit thinking on how to comfort me it was written all over you damn face and you jelly knees and toes,” she added and smiled as if nothing happened I guess angels and humans were no difference, we can all mock up and pretend we’re okay.

“It’s okay not be okay,” out of nowhere he had come to a sense.

“I think I heard of that,” she smiled and Helios smiled back to her. They seem to forget what was happening to the ocean.

“Are you really a woman?” he asked out of curiosity as he roamed her eyes down to her curves. And when he slowly looks at her face, his jaw drop that he wanted to scream. Her face became a man with the body of a woman.

"Loving what you see huh?” her voice turned into a deep husky voice and he finds it disgusting that he wanted to vomit.

“What the fish! Get back to yourself please it’s making me cringe it’s making me nauseous, you’ve got me killed!” he shouted and Seven can’t suppress her laugh. And slowly Seven changes back to her face while still holding her stomach and laughing.

“Angels don’t have sexes, we can do whatever we wanted about our gender and what I am right now is just ann experiment. I just wanted to know if I can carry this gender and can easily lure my client to sign their contract, but apparently you didn’t so I am changing my tactics,” she stated and fixes herself and Helios is still looking at her like he can’t believe someone was changing faces in front of him.

“Wait you’re changing the damn subject, why is Melecient there?” the tone of his voice was deep and Seven can feel his concern, it was forbidden to tell such an information like this and she should not meddle with this. It’s a war.

“You don’t have to worry about that Helios, it’s not you business,” she said and she was about to turn her heels away from him when he suddenly grips her shoulders and look through her eyes. He had a power to read her thoughts but using it to an angel like her will cost a day of life him.

“I don’t want to use this but I feel sorry for myself,” as soon as he said those words his eyes turned to cobalt color and Seven can’t take her eyes off him.

“Hades and Lissana are there.”
