C18 HELIOS

HELIOS

‘Each raindrop is a kaleidoscope, if we could only see more closely. I wonder as I walk how it would be to stop time, to suspend this watery gift and peek through each one. Perhaps it would be fun to sit inside those raindrops and take that gravity propelled ride to the earth. As I imagine it I feel my inner self laughing - a little at the crazy daydream and a little at my silliness. I see the rain beads upon the cars, upon each leaf and washing my outstretched fingers. Soon they will pull together, forming the puddles, opening up a whole new avenue of rain-related fun. Perhaps it isn’t normal to love a rainy day so much, but who cares about normal, anyway? I’m pretty sure “normal” is a made-up thing,’ the angel of death though as she glances up at the sky. She was now outside of the building where she would meet her soul to collect. She prefers being a lovely woman and besides, angels like her don’t have sexes.

“I am nothing more than a visionary with a dream. I don’t care what you think of me as long as you obey. I acknowledge that I have odd methods, but they work. I know what life should be like, and I understand that many things and creatures are inferior to me. In my position it is mercy. I know if I don’t save them with the wonders of death. They will die in the horror of life. But I enjoy giving people contracts, it makes my life comfortable even though I am an angel of death,” she muttered under her breath and now her person is in front of her.

“Tell me what do you desire? Money and wealth? Honor and pride? Authority and power? Or I might think revenge or something transcends all of these, huh? We can talk about that,” she slyly smiles, but the man in front of her shows no emotions at all.

“Oh, come on Michael talk to me, I don’t waste my time here for nothing, you’re the one who needs me and not me,” she gritted her teeth, she doesn’t use of being like this but she must hold her temper, anger is bad.

“I’m sorry, but would you mind telling me your name?” he said, and she just smiled.

“We don’t have names, I am an angel but still I am an angel of death, I was a devil somehow. Devils are the one who deliver this contracts and we don’t have names. But you could call me Seven, that’s would be nice,” she smiled answering him.

“So may I know now what you want?” she added a little impatiently.

“I will have all of that when he is dead. I want you to kill someone for me,” Michael said making her gasp, but she was expecting this words to come out from his mouth.

“Once upon the shade in totality, I found it to be inclined to warmth now more than its outer coldness. Surprised but, nonetheless appreciative. The beating had reached its crescendo now. The viscous blood that must have been thickly wrapping itself around the many capillaries beneath me, providing the strange warmth. Perhaps mine own blood escaping my grazed knees may intermingle with it. And right now a man approach me and I am offering such a contract and he is wishing such a damn thing to do. Do you know what I am?” she breathes as if she was inhaling such an intoxicating scent.

“Yes dear, you are the angel of death.”

“Those who cannot remember past are condemned to repeat it.”

“I remember my past clearly Seven but in this era I want to feel them all. If he reigned the past era, I will reign the future. It is human to feel the light and the dark. It is human to have a full range of emotions - a full “tool kit.” All those feelings are normal and useful depending on the situations we find ourselves in. We evolved to have them all, we just have to know when it is appropriate to use them and what to do with unwanted feelings of anger or negativity. For the most part we just need to run it out - sometimes literally. We evolved to move, to get physically tired almost daily. There isn’t anything wrong with being human and there’s a whole lot that’s right about it. We get to choose who we are, to choose to be the angels of our better natures and build our own person hood,” he said and lit a cigarette and smoke came out of his mouth making Seven smile in a mischievous way.

“Better angels huh you guess I am not that kind of an angel?” she said and look at the glass window the rain wont stop pouring hard.

“You are that is why you are here,” he stated looking through her eyes, those piercing eyes cut deep through her. She had not seen a human like him before but what can she expect she was talking to a person with a past life and remembers all of it. I wonder why the deities didn't even erase his memory for good or maybe someone restored it, an angel, deity or the god or everything of this was the will of him.

“Maybe you are wondering why I have got these memories until now and maybe you forgot that I can hear your thoughts my sweet dear,” he said and she can’t help but to look surprised. How on earth he had those abilities of hearing thoughts, did the deities give this to him? Only immortals or the gods who licensed such a thing.

“Oh so you can read what I think, what if I think of ripping your suit and gripping your pants and giving you please in ecstasy can you read that?” she stated grinning.

“Don’t think about it dear it would be an honor if I will demonstrate it for you, having pleasure and sharing moans with an angel is such an honor for me,” he smiled with dark eyes looking through her.

“What a silly client I have here, so enough of the naughty thoughts I am here for a business that will take me into a higher class if however you got this signed with your name and I will come to collect your soul once your wish is given.”

“Are you in a bit hurry my dear?”

“Not really I am just not used to this gender and I want to rest,” she sighed and massage her temple dramatically.

“Oh angels don’t have precise sexes, we can talk tomorrow and I’ll tell you my answer is that okay with you my angel?” he said and stands. Handing his hand and waiting for her to take it.

“It was nice doing business with you Helios.”
