C14 BEING ALONE II

We had this conversation every day, and every day it was the same. She looked at me and sighed softly as she shook her head, "Jane, just eat." I shook my head and walked towards the door. "What are you doing?" She asked as I opened the door, surprised to find it unlocked.

"Stop!" Amanda yelled and reached for my hand. I pulled against her hold and shook my head, "Okay, I'll get the doctor. But you have to eat your food!" She said, taking deep breaths through my nose, I nodded my head and walked towards the bed.

Amanda held her promise and went to find Dr. Linn. I ate as much food as I could as I sat on the bed and waited for the Doctor. I pushed the plate away and then finished the milk carton. It took a while, but Dr. Linn entered the room with a small smile, "Someone has been telling me you want to leave." He said and raised an eyebrow. I nodded my head eagerly as I looked towards him, "Well, let's see if you are ready." He said.

Liya growled as he took a step towards us, but she allowed me to be in charge as I tilted my head slightly. Dr. Linn gave me a physical exam, checking my heart, lungs, and reflexes. He unwrapped my bandages and didn't say anything when he saw the mess I made of the mark. He eyed me for a moment and then changed the dressing and placed some kind of lotion on my back and my shoulder.

The coolness instantly took the pain away as he tightly wrapped my body. "Alright, well, everything looks good. You just need to wait for the Alpha-" I shook my head quickly, "I can't discharge you until he comes here. He brought you in."

What a complete lunatic! This time, I growled as I looked at the Doctor.

'Maliya, we should at least say goodbye-'

I reject him. I said in a stern voice, I will reject him.

'Maliya-'

This time, my growl was louder as I fought with Liya. I closed my eyes as she tried to take charge and gritted my teeth. I looked up to Dr. Linn with hateful eyes as I shook my head. He sighed and turned towards Amanda, "Nurse, get the Alpha here." He said in a stern voice. I growled again at him as he looked at me, "And restrain her." He added. Amanda grabbed my wrist as I jerked away from her. I let out a shout as I pushed against the bed.

"Calm down, Jane, you will hurt yourself," Amanda said in a calm voice.

But calm was the last thing I was as I looked at Dr Linn grab a syringe, "We don't growl at people." He said. I growled louder as I kicked the man away from my body. Shielding myself from him. Amanda wrapped an arm around my neck as she tried to hold me still. He grabbed hold of my arm, but the growl that filled the room wasn't mine as Dr. Linn stopped what he was doing. Amanda continued to place me in restraints as I looked away from the door.

"What is going on here?" His voice growled out, and his aura was thick with tension. Liya howled at the thought of her mate and then stopped once he was close enough to smell. Then she growled at the stench that lingered around him.

"Alpha, we were restraining her." Dr. Linn said as he looked at me, "She wanted to go." He said.

"So, knocking her out is the way to go? You couldn't have just asked me to come here?" Raymond’s voice asked as he got closer to me, "I'll take her home with me."

"Alpha, I'd advise against that." Dr. Linn said as Apha Raymond grabbed a restraint and ripped it off my wrist. Amanda looked at him with widened eyes as she looked towards Dr. Linn,

"Alpha, you don't understand-" Dr. Linn tried to say, but he stopped talking as Aeron continued to remove my restraints. My breathing quickened as he released the last restraint.

Everyone was still as I lay on the bed for a moment. Then I jumped from it and pushed my body against Raymond’s large chest. I pushed with everything I had as we fell to the ground. I grabbed the scalpel and pushed it against his neck as his hazel eyes widened. I could smell multiple female scents on him, and Liya moved to be in charge.

Liya’s rage filled my anger, and we were on the same page with our thoughts. My teeth shifted into canines as I growled loudly, my legs straddling his chest as I leaned down to him.

Liya leaned our face down to his neck and took in a deep breath, growling once again. Tears threatened to leave our eyes as I straightened up and stared at Raymond’s face. "I." I pronounced and took in a deep breath, "R-r-reje-e-ect, y-y-o-ou." I said. And once the words left my mouth, Liya shifted as we ran towards the open door.
