C2 Walk

We all started having our breakfast and then left for the office. We reached the school and soon we all went to our respective classes and I got busy with that. It was lunchtime and we all gathered to have lunch. Our friends also joined us along with their friends. My siblings call all of my friends bhai and their friends call us bhai. When everyone says we can feel envy In their eyes. As they feel I am the best brother.

After school, we all are going back home. We were waiting for our car as it was late today.

"Bhai, why can't we go back by taking a walk today?" Jagat said.

"What walks? Are you crazy?" I asked him.

"I am not crazy bhai, see we are a total of 7 members and it will be fun," he said again.

"We 5 can walk but, think about baby sister and princess," I said to which they replied in unison,

"Bhai we are also grown up now and we can walk too."

They are looking too cute when they say that. I pinched them on their cheeks and we started walking forward. I said,

"Let me call dad and inform him that we are going to come on foot." Then I went to a nearby shop and called dad. He answered it after 5 rings.

"Hello, who is this speaker?" I heard some other voice and I knew who it was.

"It was me Adwith, uncle can you please inform dad that I am On the call," I asked him.

"Yes, just be in line for a minute," he said and then passed the phone to dad.

"Hello beta, what happened? why are you calling from an unknown number," he asked with tension.

"Dad, please calm down..we are fine, nothing happened. I called you to inform you that we are coming home on foot," I informed him.

"What? Why do you want to walk? The car didn't come today?" he questioned me.

"No dad, not yet maybe he is on the way, but, Jagat and everyone want to walk so, we are coming back by walking. So please call the driver and inform him not to get tensed about us" I answered.

"No, let's call the driver to wait there. You don't need to walk," he said.

"Dad, please they all will be upset, they all are in happiness thinking that they can walk," I pleaded with him. He was silent for 5 minutes and then said again,

"Ok, do one thing. Wait until the doctor comes, then drop all of your school bags in the car and then walk. The car will follow you and whenever you feel that you can't walk hop into the car." I said ok as I also felt they all can't walk much for much time as they are always habituated to cars. I said to them and we waited for our car. After 10 more minutes, our car came, and then we did as dad said. Me, Aadhav, Adeep are walking behind and they 4 are in front of us.

They 4 stopped walking and then turned to me like they were something from me.

"What happened? Can't you walk anymore?" I questioned them and they shook their heads as to no.

"Then say what you want?" this time it was Madhav who spoke.

"We want chocolates," all 4 said in unison and I asked them to wait and then brought them those.

Again we started walking and they 4 are busy talking with each other and they are observing us from time to time. We reached home by walking only. We wished our parents and went to our rooms to freshen up. Within 30 minutes we all are back to the living room where all are waiting for us.

"Oh, everyone is here," we heard dad's voice from the main door and then we turned our heads to see him. Dad and my chachu came inside and sat on the sofa. My mom stood up and went to the kitchen to bring some snacks and tea for everyone. She came back to the living room and one maid was following with a tray in her hands. She came and kept that tray and turned back to leave while the other maid brought another tray. She also kept that tray on the table and left it there. There was tea for elders and milk for us. We had our snacks and then drank milk.

"Why did you both come so early? and you kids, why do you all come so late?" What's going on here? Mom questioned all of us at a time.
