C10 Chapter 10

A FEW minutes later, the three of them finished their cooking. Phoebe thankful that she cooked fast because of their helped.

And she was just thankful that Sawyer didn't come out of her room. Maybe he could also hear the three of them talking in the kitchen so that he choose not to clamoured.

"Shall I call them?" Ziegler asked as he picked up the plates.

She was momentarily stunned. She thought of something. If they ate here in the kitchen she would have a hard time getting to Sawyer. She know they'll watch her every move and she's sure that they will evesdrop.

They putting her in the hard situation. Phoebe shook her head and pointed the plates.

“No, you'll eat at the hut. Take it.”

“Why not here?” Dewey asked confusedly.

She rolled her eyes, “Shenay will wake up to your noises,” she stated.

The two laugh while picking up the plates and other utensils. They are abnormal. They still seem proud of their noises.

"Wait, I think I heard something like we're noisy? Who's little bunny who said that hmm?" Suddenly she heard Caldwell's voice now entering the kitchen.

Here are the four abnormal. Phoebe gave him a death glared while touching her chest. This man is always shocked her. It looks like she's going to die here.

"Do you have a plan to kill me, Caldwell huh?" She come close to him and pinched his flanker.

"Ouch, Madee!" He moved away from her and headed behind North. "This is North, you can pinch him because his more used to pinching!" He pushed North closer to her.

Instead of fight with him, she just went to the stove. She transferred the adobo to the bowl and placed it on the table. She pointed that out to Caldwell.

"Take it outside, you'll eat there because Shenay will wake up to your noise."

"Eh, we're not going to make noise?" Harkin questioningly said with an innocent look.

She shook her head hard. She knew that it would not be possible for them not to make noise. North and Caldwell just seemed to be destroying her house.

"Outside! Hurry up!" She took the bowl and handed it to Caldwell.

She pushed them out. Laughingly, Harkin, Kale and North followed while holding the other utensils and glass with their own hands. They even divided the plate of seven just so they could hold it.

"They're really crazy."

Phoebe also followed them. She glanced at her bedroom door and stopped to see Sawyer there. The bedroom door have open a small space. Her eyes widened as she looked outside, lest those six suddenly enter.

‘Did Shenay woke up?’

She approached him and pushed him inward. It was only weak because he might suddenly hurt his head or wounds.

"Do you have a problem? Are you hungry? I'll get you some food." She looked at her bed to see Shenay. "I thought she's woke up."

He frowned at her. She didn't know what he was thinking. She's not good at reading other people's actions.

"Are they going home now?" His voice was still cold.

Biting the lower lips she shook her head. "Later they'll leave after they eat. Why?"

"I want to go outside."

She sighed. "After they eat I'll send them home, Sawyer. I bring your food here first."

"Join me then," he said while looking at her intently.

She could not speak immediately. She was surprised at what he said, she didn't expect that. Why does he want them to eat together? Doesn’t he eat alone?

"What ..."

She would be joining her friends. They may really suspecting her that she's really hiding something from them. She was even more surprised when he approached her and pulled her closer to him. His face was so close to her that she was almost squint-eyed so she forced herself away from him. Sawyer pulled her even harder. She think she will even have a heart attack because of what he is doing.

"You're joining me." Then he let go of her and turned around then went to the bed where Shenay was.

He moved to the Shenay side again. Phoebe rushed out of the room and go out of the house, she went straight to the hut.

"Why are you took so long?" Caldwell asked immediately then approached her.

Her face must have been rumple as she remembered what had happened between her and Sawyer. She still can't move on from what happened.

"What's with your face? It's like heaven and earth fell on you." She wanted North to be spanked for what he said.

He's starting again. She pointed him out. "I'll pinch you again later, you'll see it."

He froze until he realize what she said. He moved away and step aside with Dewey. He even whistle just like he didn't do anything. He's like an innocent boy.

"You're nothing, dude. Scared of our princess, huh!" Harkin said then laughed loudly as he put down the cellphone beside him.

She turned her gaze to Caldwell when she noticed his gaze. This is what she admires about Caldwell. He is able to make everyone calm down just by his gaze. He can make a woman fall in love just by looking.

"Eat now." She shook her head and she walked over to the table and picked up a big size plate.

She would just take Sawyer and her at the same time. Others may be even more surprised. She would only parted it when she was in the room.

"Won't you join with us?" Ziegler asked confusedly.

"Not now."

“Why did you take so much food? You don't eat that much, Phoebe.” Her friends looked at her in astonishment.

She looked at them innocently. What the hell! They even suspected the food. Is it impossible to change now? Phoebe nodded while holding her neck.

“Can't I eat a lot anymore? I took that with Shenay. You know how much she eat,” she replied.

She took a small bowl to place the dish. Those friends of her were just staring at her. There was still astonishment on their faces.

“Why? Don't you want me to eat a lot? All right, I'll bring it back— ”

She raised an eyebrow when she saw the panic on their faces as she returned the dish. She shook her head as they also returned the bowl to her.

"You have to take more." Caldwell seriously returned it to her.

She sighed. After she took off she looked at Dewey who her next to her. She smiled and glanced at his plate of rice. Her knew immediately what she meant.

"Put it in my hand, please," she said and raised her right hand.

He took it and put it in her hand. "Do you want us to help you with that?"

She shook her head quickly. She cannot allowed it. They might see Sawyer there.

"No, it's okay. I can manage that."

She walked back inside her house. Before continuing to enter, she turned to them who were still looking at her intently. She smiled and went inside. Phoebe went straight to her room.

"Sawyer Zane?" Her hand is already numb.

The door opened quickly and Sawyer exposed himself to her. Her lips was pouting when she offered the plate of rice which he quickly took. Phoebe went inside and quickly closed the door.

"You can eat now," she said.

She placed the bowl of the dish on her little table there. Fortunately, she put it there.

"I said you'll join me." His eyebrows furrowed again as he looked at her.

Phoebe let out a sigh before approaching him. She also has two chairs because sometimes she feeds Shenay here in her room.

"I'll wake up Shenay first." She went straight to her bed and carefully sit there.

"Shenay?" She shook her little shoulder lightly but she did not wake up.

She would have a hard time waking her up. She turned to Sawyer who now raised an eyebrow looking at her. She lick her lips then turned to Shenay again.

"Shenay, we're going to eat." She wakes the child up again.

“Is it really hard to wake her up? I'll try!" Sawyer leaned over her and he's touching the child's cheek.

"You'll have a hard time waking her," she said but he just raised an eyebrow at her.

Too rude. Caldwell's attitude is really far from him. That grumpy man doesn’t treat her like that, as Sawyer's does to her. He's very rude. This is the attitude that she don't like.

"Baby?" His tender voice echoed to her ear, that make her sniffed.

Shenay was lucky because Sawyer using his soft tone while talking to her. Eligible! Very unfair for her. He was like that only with the children but not to her. Hmp! Phoebe's eyebrows met. Annoyed, she stood up and went to her small table.

She is not easily upset or angry but when it comes to this man she is very easy to feel those two emotions. She couldn't believe it. This is how it feels? She wants to slap this table on him.

Phoebe was stunned to hear Shenay's newly awake voice. Her forehead furrowed even more. Traitor! If she will wakes her up, Shenay tortures her, she has to shout or shake her vigorously just to wake her up. But when it comes to Sawyer it's just a touch on the cheek, she will wake up immediately!

Phoebe turned to Shenay. Sawyer carried it towards her.

"Favoritism! Let's get over our friendship," she joke at the child with a sigh.

She looked at her in astonishment. Even newly awake she's very cute, indeed its inevitable. She's still cute, how about her? She looks like a zombie when newly awake. She doesn't go straight to the mirror when she wakes up in the morning.

"Pretty Phoeb?" She wants her to be lift but she shook her head and walked away.

“You're just there with your brother Sawyer. You don't love me anymore, Shenay. ” She forced a sad face.

"L-Love Pretty Phoeb!" She cried and further raised her hand.

She saw Sawyer laughing as he looked at them. He would just laugh there. She was about to answer when they heard a knock on her door.

“Madee, is there a problem? We heard Shenay shout.” That voice was Caldwell.

Sawyer looked at her. Phoebe scratched her head because she was so annoyed. Why did she shout? They will be punished for what she does.

"Brother, Pretty Phoeb have a new-hmmp." Sawyer quickly covered Shenay's mouth.

"It's nothing. She wanted to be lifted but I was annoyed her. It's right Cad, just come back there. Call me when you're done, huh? ” she shouted as she glared at Shenay.

“Ah, okay, all right. Aren’t you having a hard time with Shenay? Can I help you with her? ” Her eyes widened at what he said.

She shook her head quickly as if he could see that. She was suddenly nervous. Caldwell is very insisted on it. What he wants, he must get or he need to follow that.

“Not anymore, Cad. We will also eat now. We will go out after eating. You can go back now. Just don't worry about me.”

"Fine." And they heard his distant footsteps.

She went to Shenay and took her to Sawyer. She glared at the child again.

"I told you don't tell them about your Brother Sawyer, right!" she said with her small voice

The child sniffed at her. "It's Handsome brother, Pretty Phoeb."

She looked at Sawyer first before answering the child. The shy guy was just smiling imagining you were watching something funny.

“Okay it's Handsome brother. Didn't I told you ..."

She nodded and then hugged her. "It's just a secret for us, Pretty Phoeb."

Doubtfully she stared at her. "But why you tried to tell Brother Cad earlier?"

The child shook her head. “I won't. I just wanted to tell Brother Cad that you have a new flower design so I shouted later for him to leave as well. ”

A smile quickly registered on Phoebe's lips when she heard that from the child. Excellent. What she teaches her does not go to waste. She would have laughed out loud in case the shameless man was staring at her. She stared at him that make him laugh.

Even with his laughter it's like a feathers who stand out. Her heartbeat increased. She was stunned to see that he was still laughing. Only now did she see him laugh. He must have been even more handsome in her eyes.

“I hope you just laugh all the time. The relentless laughter,” she muttered and then averted her eyes.

He stopped laughing. Tsk! Why did she say that anyway? He will be mistakenly crazy if ever he doesn’t stop at being ridiculous. She shook her head. She just took Shenay, and she sat down and put her on her lap.

"Let's eat," she stated.

He nodded and walked over to the chair in front of her. She would have reached for the plate with rice in front of him when he got it first.

"Let me."

She just nodded. She just looked at him as she was being served by him. He also put a dish on her before he took care of himself. Phoebe smiled.

"Thank you!"

"Don't mention it."

Phoebe nodded and focused only on the food. She morsel the food to Shenay. She could still feel Sawyer's stare on her but she ignored it first even though she was lost in his stare.
