C8 Chapter 8

Caldwell approached her while rubbing his head. She motioned her others friend to go first. But before they left she warned them first.

“You can only buy vegetables, fruits and fish, just like before. If you overdo it, I'll spank all of you. Do you get it?”

The five snorted at once. They love to add to her purchases. They keep her away when she is in the market to add others merchandise or stock, so Phoebe never try to leave them again. Sometimes she was late or just walks ahead, she was shock because they has already bought all their wants, their hands was very quick. They are so stubborn.

"I'm telling you," she threatened them.

Suddenly they walked away from them while pouting. Phoebe confronted Caldwell. She sighed and adjusted Shenay's lift.

"Can I ..." She was embarrassed. She bite her lower lip then she bowed momentarily. When she looked up she stared him in the eyes. This was Caldwell’s weakness and all their friends knew it. “Can I borrow your clothes? Even if it's just a few, please Cad, I will also borrow to them hehe.” She's referring to her other five.

He seemed stunned until his forehead gradually wrinkled. Damn! He might know her secret.

"What are you going to do with those?" he question as she swallowed in nervous.

She averted her eyes from him. “I'll wear it? What is being done to the clothes, Caldwell? I'll eat that if you want to.”

"Tsk!"

She quickly approached him and held it in his hand. She stared into his eyes. He didn't evade, they stared each other.

"Please, Cad!" she's pouting.

He let out a sigh then nodded slowly. But his forehead was still meeting. His eyes were suspicious as he stared at her. Her eyes immediately widened, waving a hand in front of him.

"Hey, I'm not hiding anything!" she said immediately.

It shook him and turned his back on her. "I didn't say anything, Madee, you're being defensive." He walked towards the five.

Oh my god! Did he know that she was lying? Ohmy! But anyway why does she have to keep it a secret? She is not really good at lying when she's in front of her male friends. They can sense it quickly.

Phoebe gave them a death glared as they go to her house. The lunatics became stubborn again. They put some fruit and seafoods in her basket. Now they were all holding a plastic bag because her basket was already full.

She did not know what they had bought again. She's very sure that she'll spend two weeks eating all of that, sometimes she didn't eat breakfast so it will takes long before its consume. Because sometimes her friends brought her a food to school where she was teaching.

"I want to kick you all!" she spoke tremblingly.

If she hadn't just holding Shenay she might have chased them with her slippers and kicked them very hard. Phoebe turned her head frustratingly to Caldwell when she heard him laughed.

"Nothing funny on what i said, Cad!" Instead of stopping he just laughed even harder.

He was amazingly look at their friends. "She's mad now, huh?"

Her face was flushed. She also seemed to want to continue beating this lunatic. A while ago Phoebe also thought Caldwell would lend her a clothes but her lunatic friends bought a new one for her.

They said if she want want to wear men's clothes, it must be new. Phoebe insisted she will only borrow but they are pretending that they're deaf. They did what they wanted.

"It's not funny," she said seriously and walked away.

She is annoyed. Even though her house is far away, she tries to look at it. She just really hope that Sawyer is in her room. She was not yet ready to introduce him to her friends because she's very sure that it's might be riot. Her friends are very protective to her especially Caldwell.

“Just take that to the hut. I'll clean the house later so those will be there first,” she said when they are close to her house.

She could already see her purple fence. Even though Phoebe has been living in her house for a long time she still marvels at its beauty in the distance.

Her wall paint is a mixture of orange and purple. On each side of it is a flower design. The flower has green roots towards the center. And in the middle there are butterfly designs take so breathtaking.

"Don't you have any plans to change the design of your house?" Dewey suddenly asked.

She pouted her lips. He asked her that seriously while staring at her house. She feels that they are getting tired of the design and color of her house.

“Are you tired of its color? But I don't have plan to replace it thought. This is my Mom's favorite design and color so no matter what happens I won't change it," she stated while shaking her head.

The six looked at her in unison. She did not know what their reactions was because her attention was on her house. She's was just looking there sadly. Also she also prayed that Sawyer would not go out the house.

"It's beautiful. Anyone will love this color and design, it's not boring to stare even for a long time," Dewey said with a smile and then put his arm around her.

Phoebe didn't see Caldwell's expression change as she stared at Dewey's hand on her shoulder. Others who saw Caldwell expression shook their heads. They know that Dewey is just teasing their sheepish friend. Caldwell didn't speak because he had nothing to say. He's jealous yes, he don't want anyone touch Phoebe but he didn't want Phoebe get mad at him because of his selfish attitude.

Everyone is used to do that to her. They're as if they are her brothers. There is no malice in them. That was also one of the reasons why Caldwell didn’t howl them anymore.

"We miss your cooking, Phoebe." Kale came over across from her and put his arm around her too.

She found it it very difficult to walk. Shenay was already heavy and the they just added. Phoebe frown when she turned her head with the two.

"I can't! I'll just cook for you at Cad's house. You can't eat at my house anymore. You can't go inside there too!" she muttered and shrugged both of her shoulders. "Your arms are heavy! Go away!"

They was even more puzzled at the same time that the six raised an eyebrow when they looked at her. It was as if she had said something wrong. Why are they like that when they stare?

"Why?" she sighed confusedly.

"Why can't we go there anymore? Are you hiding something in there? I've been confused at you lately, Madee," Caldwell said seriously which made her nervous.

Her eyes almost popped out. She could not control her own nervousness with them. She looked at Shenay, it was also staring at her waiting for what she would say.

"I-Its that ..."

"You want to borrow our shirt so we just buy you because you said you want to wear it. Then now you don't want us to get inside your house because of what?" Caldwell raise his eyebrows.

Caldwell is scary when he's serious. Phoebe only saw the boy get serious once so she felt very nervous now.

She seemed to want to run away from them. She couldn't bear to see their serious face. Phoebe didn't want them to notice her nervousness lest they become even more suspicious. Phoebe sneezed softly and raised an eyebrow at them.

“Can't I debarred? The house was very beautiful, also you're wealth and then you can still eat here for free? It's not possible anymore. Not because you're rich you don't want to try to cook your own food. You're all indolent.”

Phoebe made her face look peevish even though it wasn't noticeable because no matter what she did she looked really innocent in front of everyone.

“And Mr. Caldwell excuse me, are you men the only ones who have the right to wear a big clothes? I want to try on different clothes too! ” she shouted but her voice was modest.

They become silent. They were all just staring at her. Until Ziegler turned to their friends, his head twisted as if wondering where.

"Is she angry or she just want to be cute?" Ziegler asked them and take a glance with her.

Her face went up. She wanted to keep punching him. She stopped from walking and let go of Shenay for a moment. Dewey quickly took it in her hand. They are also close to her house. She pointed at Ziegler and motioned to approach her.

“Come here and we will talk. Yes, we will just talk.” Phoebe was really shivering too much.

Why did she become their friend anyway? She could not remember how she had identified these guys. All she remembers is that they carved her just to be her friend. She really hope she doesn't just agree. She will grow old early on in them.

The five men Dewey, Kale, Harkin, North and Ziegler are just newcomers to the Green Island. It must have been five years ago that they moved at the same time. They have been friends while they are still in the city. Except for Caldwell who has been her friend since childhood.

She was young but Caldwell told her he had a hard time reading his mind, he had a hard time reading her every move. Yes, she is innocent but she is still very mysterious to the people there. Phoebe is not a storyteller about her life. If she tells a story, it is only about her students.

"All right, try to run!" she threatened as soon as he ran away from her.

She looked at another friend. They already knew her hint. Kale and Harkin quickly grabbed Ziegler by both arms and North was behind him and holding both of his shoulders. She turned to Shenay who was still laughing at what was happening.

"Shenay, it is okay if you're there with Kuya Dewey first?" Of all her friends, only Caldwell is the one Shenay doesn't want to approach.

Dewey is Shenay’s favorite Big Brother of all her friends. Those two was really close to each other. They don’t know why Shenay only Caldwell really doesn’t want to be with.

How it is he's very abnormal. Phoebe didn't know if he's really had crazy blood but for the second thought she thought maybe Caldwell was just really crazy in their family. His mom and dad were not like him.

“Okay, okay! Beat brother?! ” Jumping and clapping Shenay shouted which made him laugh.

Phoebe nodded and smilingly looked at Ziegler. "Yes Shenay, let's beat your older brother later."

She approached Ziegler with a smirk on her lips. It was as if he had diarrhea while looking at her. They don't really want to annoy her. She does look very innocent but when she is bored you will not like her. Phoebe still likes to pinched on their flank, it's very painful because her nail is long.

It would have been nice if she was in the mood their to tease them but really now she can’t help but be quick to tease. They have been around for a long time.

Shaking she came closer. “What do you want me to do to you? I've been teasing you before, Zie. ”

His eyes almost popped out because of what he said. “W-What? Why? ”

She wanted to laugh while staring at his face. Why is he nervous? Stopping the laughter she raised her hand, level with his flank which caused him to close his eyes.

The three men couldn't seem to stop their laughter which is why Ziegler opened his eyes. North and Caldwell was the one with the loud laugh. Who thought he was serious lately. Phoebe thought all her friends were abnormal, just not really obvious because of their faces.
