C9 Chapter 9

UNTIL the three released Ziegler they were still laughing. Phoebe shake her head and picked up Shenay again. She walked away with them.

She even had to go to Sawyer and tell him not to leave the room first. She also know that her friends were shameless when they suddenly entered her house without her permission. Like that as if it's their house.

“I will just get dressed before I cook for you. I'm ashamed of you. You look like crazy for suspecting me. If you're just not my friends I will slap you 360°I swear guys,” she muttered and then she walk fast.

When they reached the gate, Caldwell quickly opened it. She smiled. Yeah, this is one of a reason why she have a crush on him. He's a gentleman and everyone knows it. Even though his an abnormal, it does not lose his gentlemanliness.

"Thank you!"

She pointed first the hut near her house. It's just in her garden, beside of the basketball ring.

“You will stay there first. I will get dressed. ” Then she quickly left in front of them.

“Why don't we wait inside? We think you're hiding something, eh! ” North shouted that makes her annoyed, she turned around to face them.

“I'll get dressed!” she shouted back.

"Oh, are you getting dressed now outside your room?" Kale asked.

They're bullying her. She pointed annoyingly North and Kale who makes them stopped. They were really thankful and she was holding Shenay otherwise they would have tasted a pinch on her earlier. Her pinch is the what they are afraid of. They said her pinch was very painful.

"Wait for me to finish." She marched inside.

"Sawyer Zane?" In a low voice she called him.

She didn't see him in the living room and kitchen so she was sure he was in her bedroom again. As she walked towards her room Phoebe turned to Shenay.

“Shen, I'm hiding a new friend from those friends of me so we will keep it a secret hmm? Don't tell anyone about him. Help Pretty Phoeb to hide him, huh?” she said to her when she saw her staring at.

"N-New friend, Pretty Phoeb?" Her eyes widened as she laughed.

She just hope she understands what she said. Well Shenay can understand it right away, she's sure. Shenay was smart.

“Yes, Shen. I will introduce you to him. ”

They entered the room and there she saw Sawyer lying on her bed again, his facing at the right side . He is very fonded in sleeping. She shook her head as she approached her bed where Sawyer was.

"Sawyer Zane?" It's possibly that he's awake.

Shenay was just quiet, she didn't even make any noise to wake him up. Phoebe smiled as she saw him move and slowly turned her face on her.

But when he face her, Phoebe noticed his grim face. He still looked at her badly but when he looked at the child she was lifting with, his facial expression changed. She think he soothed when he saw Shenay.

Sawyer was annoyed. He didn’t know why he felt that way. He had just seen Phoebe outside her house with men and they seemed to be having fun on the road. He went out to wait for her because he's worried to Phoebe who hadn't come home yet.

She must have been in the market for three hours. But when he came out, that was what he came up with. The woman smiling very wide and she's laughing while talking to them which made he feel annoyed. If he is in front of her, she is frowning, otherwise her smile is forced.

When he saw that they were on their way home, he entered in Phoebe's room and lay there. He even heard them talk outside that she would cook them.

Sawyer frowned as he turned his back on the door. Why is that all her companions was all men? Are they her lovers? Or one of those men is her boyfriend? Or maybe all? Tsk! She's beautiful so he don't be surprised if all of them was her boyfriend.

"Sawyer Zane?" He heard Phoebe call him softly.

It looks like she's in the living room. There he heard her voice. And it's looks like she's going to the bedroom. He frowned even more.

"Tsk! Why is she looking for me? Why can't she stay there with her boys? She left them outside, huh? Is she afraid they'll see me in her house?" He was talking annoyingly to the teddy bear next to him.

That looks like Phoebe's favorite. It because he saw her last night. When Sawyer woke up last night he saw that Phoebe was hugging this thing very tightly. She thought he would take it from her? Tsk!

Sawyer didn't answer when he heard Phoebe call him again. It looks like she headed to the kitchen. Does she think he was there? What will he do in the kitchen?

Again he heard her footsteps towards the bedroom. As Phoebe approached the room he could hear her speaking as if she's talking to someone then calling his name again.

Why does she have to say his full name? Sawyer's forehead furrowed as he listened to her every footstep and called.

"Sawyer Zane?"

Sawyer couldn't stand it anymore. He moved slowly and face her. The annoyance was smeared on his face and he immediately gave her a bad look. But Sawyer notices something. His gaze shifted to her lifter and he was stunned to see it.

A cute little girl.

The girl was staring at him so he was also staring at her too. His face softened as he stared at the child until a small smile gradually faded from his lips.

"Hi!" he said softly and melodious.

The child's face lit up. He was startled when she lifted her both hands as if she want to be lifted by him. Suddenly he looked at Phoebe who looked stunned as she stared at the child.

"Y-You like your Brother Sawyer?" The shock in her voice is noticeable.

Phoebe didn't know what to feel. If her male friends were a few weeks before they got Shenay heart, this man in front of her just only smiled then he had already got the heart of the child. Surprising. Maybe Sawyer sees his shock as well.

“I want that Handsome! I wannntttt! ” She raised her hand in front of Sawyer, wanting to lift.

Sawyer shock was still there when he walked towards their place. What he showed was amazing. Now Phoebe believes that no one can deny his handsomeness. Even she was stunned yesterday and she was immediately relieved.

"Why?" He confusedly asked when he saw the amazement and shock on her face.

“Shenay was very artistic to choose to be her close friends or brother, my friends have been able to get over her for a few weeks. How come you just smiled then you got her heart? I'm just surprised. ” She handed Shenay to him who was forcibly lifting it.

Shenay really likes Sawyer. When Sawyer got up, the girl immediately hugged him.

tight and kissed his cheek.

“Shenay, don't be impish. Your brother has a wound, it will hurt that,” she said but she didn't seem to hear her.

"Handsome!" It was as if she was trembling as he hugged Sawyer in so much admiration that make Phoebe frowned.

Shenay had forgotten about her. Her full attention is already on Sawyer. She just turned around and walked towards her cabinet.

“Where are you going? Are you really cooked them? ”

Sawyer's cold voice was what she heard as she was about to go to her bathroom to get change. She looked at him, she wondered.

"Did you hear it?" What she was referring to was what she told her friends that she would cook them.

He were about to answer when they heard a voice outside her house. Probably those six.

“Madee? How many hours do you have to dress up? ” She knew Caldwell was frowning, she could also hear the annoyance in his voice. "I'm hungry already."

Phoebe rolled her eyes and suddenly frowned. “Dewey, please take that man away from here. Go back to the hut! I'm going out later, I just put Shenay to sleep first.”

Phoebe didn’t lie to them, she never even tried that. But now she doesn’t know what pushed her to do that thing. She didn't intentionally to look at Sawyer who was now frowning when he was looking at her.

“All right, Miss! Haha what are you doing pre, she will put to sleep you lovely child. Let's go to the hut first. You are very excited to see your wife haha,” Dewey stated smirking.

They walked away while laughing. Maybe they'll go back to the hut. While shaking her head she turned away again but being stunned by what Sawyer said next.

“Are you trying to hide me from them? Really? ” he asked that make her stop from walking.

She looked at him again. What should she answer? That ‘Yes, I’m hiding you from them because they might get mad at it?’ She was embarrassed. Phoebe sighed then stared at him. When she looked down at Shenay she saw her also staring at her and scowling. Phoebe think she was upset because Sawyer's attention was on her now.

"Ahm ehh, Sawyer... I just don't want you to be hurt." She scratched her head and then lean against the wall.

His forehead furrowed even more. “What do you mean by that?”

“They’re very protective to me, Sawyer. You don't want them to know that you live here with me. Of them all, Caldwell was the most crazy, just as the men here approached me he was already intimidating them. So in the meantime I will hide you first. Let me find a good time to tell them about you. I'm very sure they'll punch you for staying here with me,” she explained then look at him intently. “We will talk later. I'll get dressed first.” Then she went inside her bathroom.

“Tsk! The hell with them! As if I care!” She heard him annoyed before she closed the door.

After she got dressed she immediately went out of the bathroom. She saw the two already lying on the bed.

Shenay laying on his arm and hugged him tightly, with his foot resting on Sawyer's pandesals, his abs. Phoebe just smiled at what she saw. He also loves kids.

“Can Shenay be there with you first? I'll just cook them then I'll come back here with you two. I'll just bring you something to eat here.” She spoke when she could get close to their place.

He looked at her coldly and without emotion. "You really want to hide me, huh."

She bowed. "I'll tell them, but not now yet."

He just nodded and averted his gaze from her. "Maybe it's okay thought, I'll leave when I remember so better not to tell them."

Phoebe was stunned for a moment. She must have forgotten that thing. Of course, he will also leave when his lost memories return. It won't last this. She sighed and nodded at him.

"All right. I'll go to them first." She turned her back and walked out of the room.

She closed the door and went out of her house to pick up her purchases in the hut. She saw the six pissing each other again. Of course North and Caldwell are the stars of the show. Harkin and Kale are facing their cellphones as always, and she's sure they are watching again.

"Zie, please take my purchases to the kitchen. Thank you!" She smiled to her friend that was looking innocent in the side and she went back inside the house again.

"I'll help you." He heard Dewey speak.

"Geh!" Ziegler agreed.

She waited for the two in her kitchen. When they arrived she took the ingredients she needed and the rest she put in her refrigerator.

That refrigerator was given by the six. He didn't even want to accept it because it was too expensive for electricity but they were too pushy, she couldn't do anything but to agreed.

"Let us help, Phoebe," Ziegler said so she nodded her head.

It's also good that she has an assistant so they can finish quickly and go home. She's nervous, they might see Sawyer. It's not even possible now.

She shook her head when she looked at the two who were now serious about what they were doing. She just laughs lightly because it's the onion and garlic that really cut their full attention. She will only cook Adobo.
