C13 You were quite bold!

The doorbell rang periodically every 3 seconds, maintaining a strict pattern. This showed how meticulous Lu Zitian was. Ye Chen stood behind his boss, the great pressure from Lu Zitian was boring down on him, which was because of Zhang Yuqi slamming the door right on his face.

The gloomy atmosphere outside Yuqi's door had become almost unbearable.

On the other side of the door, Zhang Yuqi was anxious to the point of death. Lu Zitian was a big name. He had a great influence over the whole of Asia and practically controlled the Economy of China. Finding her and finishing her off would be child's play to him.

She was stuck in a precarious situation. Finally, she decided that it was better to meet him and plead for mercy.

She calmed herself down and slowly opened the door, revealing a tall and built body and a pair of deep, fierce eyes looking at her intently. The icy and stern expression on the man's face didn't diminish the allure of his face, instead made him look more dignified and elegant.

On opening the door, she felt as if she had been suddenly teleported ten thousand feet underneath an ice mountain. That chilling and overbearing presence from the man gave her goosebumps.

While Zhang Yuqi was looking at Lu Zitian, he was also sizing her up.

She was wearing yellow pajamas, her long hair was pulled up into a messy bun with a few strands framing her delicate face. She had no make up on, but her clear eyes and soft lips gave her a very pure beauty.

After a long silence Zhang Yuqi broke out of her thoughts and invited him inside.

"Please come in Mr. Lu....take a seat as you like."

As soon as Lu Zitian stepped in, it felt as if the room had become packed, despite there being only two people. He sat down on the sofa and carelessly crossed his legs. His every action carried a gentlemanly charm.

Ye Chen also came in and stood by the sofa, his hands wrapped around a tablet.

Zhang Yuqi also stood awkwardly at some distance with her head lowered. The gears in her brain spun rapidly as she desperately tried to think of an idea to overcome the impending doom.

She hurriedly went to the kitchen and brewed two cups of tea and served one to Lu Zitian. Then she took a seat on a chair opposite to him and took a sip of the tea to calm down.

Lu Zitian subtly looked behind him. Ye Chen received the hint and went out closing the door behind him. Lu Zitian then calmly reached into his pocket and took out a few hundred yuan bills and placed them on the center table. Then with a deep and meaningful gaze he looked at Zhang Yuqi and asked her.

"What do you think of these, Miss Zhang?"

At first Zhang Yuqi couldn't understand why he would take out these notes. Then she noticed something. Were these not.....hers?

Zhang Yuqi had a habit of folding her notes three times before keeping them. Yesterday when she had given those notes to Lu Zitian, one of the notes had an ink mark. Lu Zitian picked up the teacup with his long and slender fingers and then took a long sip.

Placing the cup down, he looked intently at the girl seated opposite to him.

"Miss Zhang, weren't you quite bold previously?"

Hearing those words Yuqi broke into a cold sweat. Yes, she was bold!....Even she herself was scared of how bold she was when she kissed him!

"Hehe......Young Master Lu, it was a mistake......a mistake!". Zhang Yuqi nervously squeezed her hands and looked around with a guilty face. The kiss yesterday was out of a sudden impulse she had. Since she no more cared about love, she had kissed the stranger, especially because he was insanely good looking.
