C6 Suddenly She Fell

CHAPTER VI SHE SHOULD FALL

The cemetery was surrounded by tall grass, and he couldn't see the end of it.

As the wind got stronger, Jiang Yan'er couldn't help but shiver as she crossed her arms.

"You're not well, because you've locked yourself up." Jiang Yan'er didn't want to look into JinChen's eyes, so she stared at a blade of grass. "The people around you aren't well either."

"Do you know how my dad died?" Jin Chen didn't want to continue listening to her lyrical chicken soup, so he interrupted her words. With an exceptionally bitter smile, he calmly looked at her.

Jiang Yan'er retracted her gaze, looking puzzled as she waited for his next words.

"This is a secret that cannot be told to you." But with a mischievous smile, he lifted her chin and stopped talking.

"Phew …" Although Jiang Yan'er was angry, and couldn't bring herself to continue making trouble for him, she could only bear with it. However, another doubt was buried in her heart. When she was with Jin Chen, that question would slowly accumulate.

"You're going back now?" Jiang Yan'er braced herself and asked when she saw that he was about to leave.

"Otherwise, do you want me to do something in front of my dead father?" Jin Chen walked with large strides, using his joking to cover up his pain.

"I just think we should at least pay our respects." She muttered something behind her and had no choice but to follow her, hurrying her way. Finally, she walked out of the alley and saw a car not too far away.

"Bang." Jin Chen punched the car.

"My God, what should I do?" Jiang Yan'er followed closely behind, exclaiming in surprise, "There's still a long way to go down the mountain."

He saw that the four wheels of the car had all been punctured, and the frame of the car was left swaying on the spot.

"But then again, who would come to this wilderness?" Jiang Yan'er asked in puzzlement.

"Of course no one came. It must be that we are not respectful enough to my father today." Jin Chen's face turned serious, scaring Jiang Yan'er so much that her expression changed. Ignoring the relationship between the two of them, she ran over and grabbed his arm.

Jin Chen awkwardly pushed her away and snappily told her to stay away from him before hurriedly dialing the rescue call.

"The ambulance will take more than four hours to get here." His tone was emotionless, and there was not a single trace of anger in his brows. Compared to his usual impetuous attitude, he was like a completely different person.

"Why aren't you in a hurry?" "Hurry up and tell your bodyguards to come and pick us up," Jiang Yan'er said anxiously. "It's been more than four hours and the sky is already dark. This is a desolate wilderness." The more she spoke, the more frustrated she became.

Jin Chen didn't answer and walked straight to the side of the mountain road. Looking down, he could see a deep valley. The sunset had already submerged the horizon, and stars could be seen between the trees as they interweaved into a beautiful scene.

"Did you call?" Jiang Yan'er asked, flustered and exasperated as she walked to his side. As the curtain of darkness gradually descended, she became more and more uneasy.

"Do you still look like a doctor?" "As a scientist, he actually believed in the theory of ghosts and gods." Jin Chen looked at her and mocked arrogantly.

"It's all because of you!" she shouted.

Her lips were blocked by something soft.

"Stop interrupting me like this!" Jiang Yan'er glared fiercely at the man in front of her.

He was kissed again.

"Blame me or thank me?" He gently wrapped his arms around her neck and asked with his deep voice. His tone was full of ambiguity, making one sink into depravity.

"Now, let me go home." Jiang Yan'er, however, didn't have the heart to joke around, shaking off his hand and speaking the truth.

"You see, sunset, deep valley, isn't it good?" Jin Chen embraced her and put her head on his shoulder.

Jiang Yan'er's heart was beating faster and faster, but she was quietly leaning against him, no longer obsessed with the matter of leaving immediately.

Originally, he wanted to end all his secrets today, but he was unable to say it out loud. Perhaps, just like this, not being disturbed and quietly nestling together was enough for him.

"Jiang Yan'er, do you hate me?" His tone became gentle.

"Hate," she said, almost without thinking, "Take me out of here." She seemed to be enduring it for a long time, and her eyes were filled with extreme uneasiness.

Soon after, she suddenly covered her chest and began to tremble. Jin Chen realized that something was wrong and held her face up. Only then did he discover that her pupils were constantly enlarging and her face was also deathly pale.

He hurriedly ordered his bodyguard, who was waiting at the foot of the mountain, to hurry up the mountain.

Jiang Yan'er's breathing became more and more rapid. For a moment, she was unable to breathe. Jin Chen lightly patted her back, and from time to time, he would look around, but there was no sign of him.

"Yan'er, hurry up. I'll carry you down. I'm not afraid, I'll carry you." He mumbled to himself. Squatting down, he carried her on his back and started running down the mountain.

Behind her, the sound of Jiang Yan'er's breathing became fainter and fainter. Jin Chen had no choice but to put her down and hug her, softly calling out her name, telling her to stay awake.

"I told you to hurry up and take me away, why didn't you listen?" Jiang Yan'er slowly opened her eyes, her tone weak as she chided him in a soft voice.

"What's going on?" Are you sick? "Why did you never tell me?" Jin Chen was no longer able to conceal his worry. He was venting his emotions to his heart's content. Those eyes seemed to want to rub the woman in front of him into his body, to love her endlessly.

"You never gave me the chance to present myself to you." With a wry smile, Jiang Yan'er's body seemed to have recovered a lot.

As if he had been hit by something, Jin Chen tightly knitted his brows, falling into endless self-blame.

He blamed himself for betting all his hatred on Jiang Yan'er. He blamed himself for clearly loving her but never admitting to it. He blamed himself for using this method of breaking a tire with his life in exchange for a short period of peace with her.

Unfortunately, it almost led to a disaster.

Jin Chen had some doubts in his heart. He didn't know what happened to Jiang Yan'er to suddenly fall down just like that, causing him to sink into a terrifying darkness. Only now did he realize how afraid he was of losing her when death approached.

The car soon arrived at the hillside, and on the road, they discovered Jin Chen and Jin Ling'er. A group of men in black clothing surrounded them, wanting to pick up Jiang Yan'er, but he stopped them.

After a long period of worry and running, he was exhausted. However, he forced himself to walk step by step into the car while holding Jiang Yan'er in his arms.

As she left the dark mountains, her condition gradually improved. She gradually returned to her normal state, but she only leaned against the window, not saying a word.

"Is it time to explain?" Jin Chen was displeased and asked with a frown.

"It's not a big deal, don't take it to heart." She looked at her silhouette on the window and replied tiredly.

"Oh, I don't want to be bothered by your nonsense, but as the president of J.K., is it possible that I was told to cheat a woman into the mountains, then kill her?" Jin Chen had always had a venomous tongue, and at this moment, he was no exception.

The car sped on, and soon after it left the mountains and returned to the villa.

It was already early in the morning.

In summer, her figure faded away as the early morning breeze carried a chill. Jiang Yan'er dragged her exhausted body out of the car, but a gust of wind caused her to shiver.
