C5 The Beautiful And Mysterious Female Designer

Ruan Hanyu was curious about the designer. To think that a young and beautiful woman could design such a noble and elegant car, she must be someone worth gaining the acquaintance of. A woman of such talent and ability must have a clean and exquisite heart. Ruan Hanyu stared at the perfect design of the car. Inside his eyes, there appeared a mysterious light that burned with a bewildering intensity.

The more he looked at the car model, the more the smooth lines and beautiful features appealed to his tastes. The car was truly his ideal as far as car models go.

His interest was piqued. What kind of woman could have such enormous talent?

“As you well know, the car was designed by a woman and she named it ‘Adiya.’ It has been rumored that she designed it for the man she loves. Coincidentally, the designer is currently here in A City right now.”

“Is that so?” Hearing that the designer had recently returned to A City, Ruan Hanyu’s heart skipped a beat. He tilted his head slightly, hiding a secretive expression on his face.

“I want to meet her in person in three days. Please arrange this.” His eyes flashed with an unknown light. He leaned back on the chair supporting him and slightly opened his mouth.

Ruan Hanyu’s business intuition signaled that it was important that he become well-acquainted with this female designer. She displayed a rare talent for designing cars and Ruan Hanyu believed he must take full advantage of such abilities before they are taken away by competitors. Although there were many kinds of cars under the Ruan Group umbrella, not many products had the potential to directly impact the global market. Ruan family was currently transitioning and to herald this new era, he could not miss such a great opportunity.

For Ruan Hanyu, as long as it was something he desired, there was nothing that could stand in his way, let alone a woman. Who would be able to resist the temptation of riches beyond your imagination?

Moon River Cemetery, deep, quiet, and desolate.

Mu Qingzhu’s legs had fallen asleep underneath her weight. She had been there for an entire day, spending time curled up in front of her father, Mu Jinci’s, tombstone. Her heart was broken, she could only sit there sad and alone before her father’s grave.

She did not move the entire visit. Her posture was motionless like she was a stone sculpture. Her heart was heavy the entire time.

“Dad, Ruan Hanyu will never fall in love with me. I can never make him love me. The divorce is already finalized.” Her voice was soft and weak as if the words were draining all life from her. Mu Qingzhu’s lips were dry and cracked and she tried licking them to bring more vitality to them, but it was no use. No food or drink had passed through her lips for a day and night. But she did not feel hungry at all. Only a bone-piercing pain in her heart sustained her.

“Dad, I still haven’t broken the news to Mom. I don’t know how to tell her. I’m afraid she’ll be heartbroken,” Mu Qingzhu’s dry lips parted and she said this with a hoarse voice. “Dad, I want nothing to do with him anymore. I don’t want to even see his face, but Dad, the luxury car that killed you is from the Ruan Group. I recognize the car. I won’t let your death be buried by lies. I will have to go undercover to work at Ruan Group to uncover the truth. But no matter who is to blame, I will make him pay with blood.”

Her words worked up the emotions boiling inside her as she grasped tightly onto the cold tombstone. Her grip was so tight, blood flowed from her small white hands. Drop after drop fell onto the snow-white marble. Pain seared through her as her teeth bared down on her red lips.

“I don’t want to do this either, but he is the devil.” Mu Qingzhu sobbed quietly. She had cried her eyes out. There were no more tears left!

Even if he humiliated her and treated her like dirt, it wasn’t like this was something new. She could still endure it. But the one thing she could not tolerate was that the person who caused the death of her beloved father was probably the one person she loved the most in the world!

Deeply entrenched in her pain, she buried her head in her knees and sobbed some more.

Even if it wasn’t him, it was most likely someone related to Ruan Group. This made Ruan Hanyu already partially responsible. She was almost certain he was to blame for the accident! Who else could hate her so much?

The sun was setting on the horizon, and the clouds overhead were a dazzling display of blood-red. The sight before her exacerbated her hunger for blood.

After her emotional outburst, the burden she was feeling was lifted. She stood up, her slender fingers brushing away her black hair from her forehead. Her pale face held a determined look on it.

She took out her phone from her bag and with shaky fingers, dialed a number.

“Manager Zhu? You have my word.” The person on the other end could not see her cold eyes but could only perceive her gentle and generous voice. He had no idea what he was getting himself into.

“Good, good, very good.” Zhuh Jianzhang could not keep his excitement from entering his voice. “Miss Alice, I will notify Director Ruan immediately. The company will send a car to pick you up the next day. Director Ruan wants to meet with you personally.”

Mu Qingzhu smiled coldly into the phone and she replied in a light tone, “Okay.”

She had followed Ruan Hanyu devotedly for many years and knew all about his tastes for cars. Through her time spent with different car models, this had also developed in her a love for cars. During her time in America, she was alone day and night for many years without the company of loved ones. Left to her own devices, she turned to developing her craft as a car designer and out of her love for a man who will never love her back, conceived of a car design that will revolutionize the market. She wanted to design a car that moved Ruan Hanyu so much that he would look at her in a different light. The results were so marvelous that she just might have succeeded in that intent.

Of course, luxury vehicles were the vices of proud and noble men like Ruan Hanyu. During the course of the three years she spent in America, she devoted herself to studying and cultivating a nose for business dealings that especially catered to the arrogance and vulgarity of men at the head of this industry. She had learned a lot and could soon adequately navigate her way around such biased and old views of the enterprise.

Under their puzzled gazes, her face would open like a flower, and she would carry on her features a faint smile. Indeed, a woman learning the trade was a rare occurrence, and try as she might to change the status quo, their prejudices remain set. But she remained determined to learn the craft, always carrying a calm facade everywhere she went.

Her goal was to design a unique car for the man she loved. She wanted to surprise him with her design and even make him fall in love with her.

It looked like she really did it!

The car she designed not only grabbed the world’s attention, but it had also managed to spark his interest as well. He actually sent a subordinate to invite her for a meeting, but her heart was no longer filled with the happiness she originally thought the scheduled meeting would bring.

She was apprehensive over their meeting. She did not know how Ruan Hanyu would react when he saw the person he was trying to invite was actually her. Imagining his response upon seeing her instead of the woman he pictured, Mu Qingzhu’s lips curled into a mocking smile. The light in her eyes reflected the coldness she felt.

“Don’t worry, Father! In three months’ time, I’ll make good on my promise.” Mu Qingzhu squatted down again and lovingly touched the picture of her father’s smiling face on the tombstone.

The spacious office was clean-cut and elegant, not too luxurious or proud. Looking around herself, she felt it fit her personality perfectly.

For the occasion, Mu Qingzhu had dressed in a pure white professional suit and a long western dress that perfectly accentuated her beautiful figure. Her fair flowed freely off her shoulders naturally like a waterfall. Her skin was admirably as smooth as jade and she wore a confident and appropriate smile on her face. Her entire presence exuded warmth and a professionalism that made her highly approachable.

Standing before the French windows of the 86th floor, she stared out into the far distance of the view of the city.

Once again she had set foot into the Ruan Group offices. This time around she had come under the guise of the female designer that the Ruan Group were going out of their way to treat as an honored guest.

Mu Qingzhu peered down at the work card on the dark red desk. The words “Alice, Chief Designer” in large black letters were striking and very appealing to the eye, causing those who caught sight of the card to feel a deep respect for her.

All of a sudden, a light and polite knock shook Mu Qingzhu from her thoughts.

Drawing from a strength she did not know she had, a dark and fierce light flashed through her features. She said in a warm and soft voice:

“Please come in.”

The door opened and the smart and capable Special Assistant Liu walked in.

“Miss Alice, how do you like your office?” Special Assistant Liu asked with a careful smile on his face. Giving Alice a good long look, he got the impression that this noble and beautiful young female designer in front of him did not want to get too close. Though her smile was gentle and calm, there was a coldness to her that kept people away, making her stand apart from everyone else in the same room. After all, she was the female designer selected by the Ruan Group for her talent and ability. He did not want to offend her. Otherwise, how would he be able to explain himself to Director Ruan?

“Miss Alice, this space was specially picked out for you by Director Ruan. Director Ruan said that he wants you to design a car for him that will make men fall in love with it. And hopes this office space will kindle the burst of creativity and energy needed to make such a design happen. Director Ruan wants you to know that he admires you very much and is afraid that you are not used to staying in this country and therefore, hopes these arrangements will make you feel more at home. This office was specially selected for you to accommodate your every need. I hope it is to your liking.” The shrewd and capable Special Assistant Liu’s voice fell on Mu Qingzhu’s ears like warm jade. It was very sweet and pleasant to hear.

Ruan Hanyu personally arranged this office specifically for her needs? Mu Qingzhu’s heart quickened, but her eyes remained calm and untouched by any other emotion. A trace of ridicule could be seen peering out of the corner of her mouth. If he found out that Alice was her, would the discovery fill him with rage?

Unbeknownst to him, the designer that he had spent so much time and effort to hire was actually none other than a woman he had never thought much of. If he were to discover the truth, the tidbit will most likely cause him internal injuries with smoke coming from his seven orifices.

The thought made the corner of Mu Qingzhu’s mouth curl up slightly. It was about time. Ruan Hanyu was about to have his day.

The Ruan Group had risen to the top to the point where no competitor could compare to it. This was all due to Ruan Hanyu’s drive and perseverance. It was like him to go out of his way to cater to other people’s preferences or those who would benefit his company. All his efforts and hard work were paying off. He had developed it into the successful monolith it is today, the envy of countless others.

It was just that during the time he was building his company, she was not by his side nor did she support him in his endeavors. The one person to share these experiences with him was the beautiful and sexy Qian Anrou. It became very apparent to her that the person he loved was not her.
