Then let me warm you up

The next day.

Jiang Yaner slowly got up from the bed with huge dark circles under her eyes. It was around 6 in the morning when she finally managed to fall asleep.

When he arrived at the mansion last night, it was already dark. Jiang Yaner could vaguely see the outline of the villa. In the early morning, she wandered around the villa, admiring the unique flavor of the old villa.

A large piece of grassland was surrounded by an iron fence, and on the fence were wrapped rose flowers. After the period of blooming, it was already a bit depressing, and at a glance, there was not a single person. It seemed like it had been taken care of carefully, like it was barren.

"Madam," a hoarse voice suddenly came from behind her. "Breakfast is ready, Young Master is waiting."

Jiang Yaner turned her head around abruptly, frightened. When that person appeared, he didn't make a sound, but instead appeared right behind her, like a gust of wind.

"Alright." She still had some lingering fear in her heart, so she only replied softly. She originally thought that this villa was empty. She didn't expect an old housekeeper to appear here.

She followed that person downstairs. The mansion wasn't big. From upstairs, she could see Jin Chen eating breakfast alone in the restaurant.

He always wore a clean set of white clothes, his hair a mess, his face expressionless, his every move gentle and graceful.

When he saw Jiang Yaner coming down the stairs, he lifted his head slightly and glanced at her before lowering his head and continuing to scoop at the delicious food on the plate.

"Hurry up and eat. There are still places we need to go." He picked up a piece of beef and told Jiang Yaner quietly.

"Uncle Qin, you should also sit down and eat." He raised his head. His gaze was different from usual. The Uncle Qin in front of him was clearly different from normal.

"Young Master, I've eaten. Please enjoy." Uncle Qin smiled benevolently and dragged his lame legs, leaving the mansion step by step.

Jiang Yaner was a little surprised, but she didn't say it out loud. She just quietly ate her meal.

Not long after, the two finished their silent breakfast. Jin Chen didn't say anything and directly walked out of the villa and got into the sports car.

Jiang Yaner was still holding the half-eaten bread in her hand as she chased after him.

"Hurry." Jin Chen was a bit impatient. Seeing that she had gotten into the car, he hurriedly started the car and went through the grass to the metal door.

"Uncle Qin, let's go out and come back tonight." He slowly stopped the car and spoke to the old man who was cleaning the grass by his side.

Uncle Qin only smiled and nodded as he watched the two of them disappear outside the iron gate.

"Who is Uncle Qin?" She still couldn't control her curiosity, especially when Jin Chen's attitude towards him was too cordial.

"Family, as the daughter-in-law of Jinjia, you have to be filial to him." Jin Chen tilted his head and smiled without good intentions, as if reminding her that she was his wife was a very satisfying thing.

Jiang Yaner rolled her eyes at him and stopped pursuing the matter.

As the car became more and more turbulent, it became more and more difficult to drive on the somewhat rugged road.

"Let's get out of the car. We can't get to the front." Jin Chen stopped the car and unbuckled his seat belt. He got out of the car without looking back at Jiang Yaner.

After a while, he impatiently waited beside the car. He wondered why it took so long to get off, so he opened the door to investigate.

However, that woman had long since gone to sleep happily.

He shook his head but was not annoyed. There was even a pampering smile at the corner of his mouth.

Jiang Yaner suddenly opened her eyes and looked directly at the curved corner of his eye, lost in thought.

"Get out of the car quickly!" Jin Chen was a bit uneasy. He was afraid that she would see his expression, so he immediately used this method to cover it up.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, got out of the car, stretched her back, and looked around. There were tall trees everywhere, and the stone road was beneath her feet. The road in front of her became a narrow mountain path.

"Where is this?" she asked doubtfully. Of course, Jin Chen wouldn't give her a reply.

He walked quietly in front, his shoes replaced by white shoes, his suit shirt replaced by a casual T-shirt and jeans, and his fresh hair made him look as clean and beautiful as a spring breeze.

Jiang Yaner followed closely behind, rarely taking this kind of rugged mountain road. She walked carefully with each step, and became a little timid. Jin Chen, on the other hand, seemed to be used to it.

Not long after, he stopped.

In front of Jiang Yaner was a graveyard.

She looked at Jin Chen's cold face and realized that the atmosphere was different. She just quietly stood behind him.

"Come forward and say hello," he said, turning to look at Jiang Yaner. "This is your father-in-law." The corner of his mouth curled up into a smile, but that smile disappeared in an instant.

Jiang Yaner guessed right. Today was indeed an unusual day.

In Jiang Yaner's memory, she had been married to Jin Chen for more than two years already, and no one in the Jinjia had mentioned the matter of the brocade father. Some people said that he was in the United States and had married other women, while others said that he was in the city.

However, no one had ever said that Father Jin might have already left this world.

"I've always thought it was strange. Why didn't you ask me about my father?" Jin Chen walked closer to the tomb and cleaned up the surrounding weeds. "But luckily, you didn't ask, otherwise, there would inevitably be a bloody battle between us." He seemed to have thought of something, and suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"I just think it's better not to ask too much." Jiang Yaner didn't know how to reply, afraid that she would prick Jin Chen's sore spot.

"Of course, between us, it is only a contract. You do not need to understand me too much." Jin Chen had his back facing her and there was an unspeakable disappointment deep in his eyes.

"You never, never gave me a chance to understand." Jiang Yaner remembered many things, most of which were scenes where she tried to get close but always closed the door. She smiled bitterly.

She was right. He never gave her the chance. His world never allowed others to enter. As for Jiang Yaner, he yearned to get to know her, but he was even more afraid.

"The contract will eventually fail. In your world, there will always be people who will warm up." Jin Chen said sarcastically. Jiang Yaner only smiled bitterly.

"I really want to warm you, it's me." He spoke in a voice that was almost to himself. The wind was blowing in the mountains, but the words did not reach Jiang Yaner's ears.

"You really don't have to say these things over and over again. I know it very well," she said, squinting in the wind, the tears in her eyes barely falling.

"It's good to have a clear understanding of myself, but I'm not having a good time." Jin Chen stood up and threw away the weeds in his hands. His clean hands were stained with some dirt.

"So, I can't let you have it easy either."
