The cemetery was surrounded by tall grass, and he couldn't see the end of it.
As the wind got stronger, Jiang Yaner hugged her arms and shivered.
"You're not well, because you've locked yourself up." Jiang Yaner didn't want to look at Jin Chen's eyes, so she stared at a blade of grass.
"Do you know how my dad died?" Jin Chen didn't want to continue listening to her lyrical chicken soup, so he interrupted her. He looked at her quietly with an unusually bitter smile.
Jiang Yaner retracted her gaze, puzzled as she waited for his next words.
"This is a secret that cannot be told to you." But with a mischievous smile, he lifted her chin and stopped talking.
"Phew …" Although Jiang Yaner was angry, and it was hard for her to continue being angry at him, she could only endure it. However, another doubt was buried deep in her heart. With Jin Chen, the questions accumulated one by one.
"He went back just like that?" Jiang Yaner braced herself and asked when she saw him turning to leave.
"Or do you want me to do something in front of my dead father?" Jin Chen strode on, trying to mask his pain with a joke.
"I just think that we should at least pay our respects." She muttered something behind her and had no choice but to follow her, hurrying her way. Finally, she walked out of the alley and saw a car not too far away.
Boom. Jin Chen punched the car.
"Heavens, what should we do?" Jiang Yaner followed close behind, saying in surprise, "There's still a long way to go down the mountain."
He saw that the four wheels of the car had all been punctured, and the frame of the car was left swaying on the spot.
"Speaking of which, who would come to this desolate mountain range?" Jiang Yaner asked, puzzled.
"Of course no one came. Presumably, we are still not respectful enough to my father today." Jin Chen's serious face scared Jiang Yaner so much that her face changed. Without caring about the relationship between the two of them, she ran over and grabbed his arm tightly.
Jin Chen pushed her away awkwardly, told her to stay away from him in annoyance, then quickly dialed the rescue number.
"It will take more than four hours for the ambulance to get here." His tone was emotionless, and there was not a single trace of anger in his brows. Compared to his usual impetuous attitude, he was like a completely different person.
"Why aren't you in a hurry?" Hurry up and call your bodyguards or something to come and get us, "Jiang Yaner said anxiously." It's been more than four hours and it's already dark. The more she spoke, the more frustrated she became.
Jin Chen did not answer and walked straight to the side of the mountain road. Looking down, there was a deep valley. The sunset had already submerged the horizon, and bits and pieces of trees interweaved into a beautiful scene.
"Did you call?" Jiang Yaner walked up to him and asked in a flustered tone. As the curtain of darkness gradually descended, she became more and more uneasy.
"Do you still look like a doctor?" A dignified scientist would actually believe in the theory of ghosts and gods. " Jin Chen looked at her and mocked her arrogantly.
"It's all because of you!" she shouted.
Her lips were blocked by something soft.
"Don't interrupt me like this anymore!" Jiang Yaner glared fiercely at the man before her.
He was kissed again.
"Blame me or thank me?" He gently wrapped his arms around her neck and asked with his deep voice. His tone was full of ambiguity, making one sink into depravity.
"Immediately, let me go home." Jiang Yaner, however, didn't have the heart to joke around. She shook off his hand and spoke frankly.
"See, sunset, deep valley, isn't it good?" Jin Chen embraced her and put her head on his shoulder.
Jiang Yaner's heart beat faster and faster, but she just quietly leaned against him, no longer obsessed with the matter of leaving immediately.
Jin Chen looked into the distance, his mind was filled with thousands of thoughts. He originally wanted to end all the secrets today, but he still couldn't say it out loud. Perhaps, it was enough for him to just quietly hug each other without being disturbed.
"Jiang Yaner, do you hate me?" His tone became gentle.
"Hate," she said, almost without thinking. "Get me out of here." She seemed to be enduring it for a long time, and her eyes were filled with extreme uneasiness.
Then, she suddenly covered her chest and started trembling. Jin Chen realized that something was wrong and held her face up. Only then did he realize that her pupils were constantly enlarging and her face was also deathly pale.
He hurriedly ordered his bodyguard, who was waiting at the foot of the mountain, to hurry up the mountain.
Jiang Yaner's breathing became more rapid. At one point, she was unable to breathe. Jin Chen patted her on the back and looked at the road from time to time, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Yan'er, hurry up and come up. I'll carry you down. I'm not afraid, I'll carry you." He mumbled to himself. Squatting down, he carried her on his back and started running down the mountain.
The sound of Jiang Yaner's breathing became fainter and fainter behind him. Jin Chen had no choice but to put her down and hug her. He whispered her name, telling her not to fall asleep.
"I told you to hurry up and take me away, why didn't you listen?" Jiang Yaner slowly opened her eyes. Her voice was weak as she scolded him softly.
"What's going on?" Are you sick? "Why didn't you tell me?" Jin Chen was no longer able to hide his worry. He was venting out his emotions. His eyes seemed to want to crush the woman in front of him into his body and dote on her endlessly.
"You also never gave me the chance to show myself to you." Jiang Yaner smiled wryly, but her body seemed to have recovered a lot.
Jin Chen seemed to have been hit by something. He frowned and fell into endless self-blame.
He blamed himself for betting all his hatred on Jiang Yaner. He blamed himself for clearly loving her but never admitting to it. He blamed himself for using this method of ordering his men to stab Lun Tai in exchange for a short period of peace with her.
Unfortunately, it almost led to a disaster.
Jin Chen was puzzled. He did not know what happened to Jiang Yaner that caused him to fall into a terrifying darkness. Only then did he realize how afraid he was of losing her when death approached.
The car soon arrived at the mountainside. On the way, they saw Jin Chen and his partner. A group of men in black clothing surrounded them and wanted to pick Jiang Yaner up, but they were stopped by him.
His long worry and running had exhausted him, but he forced himself to carry Jiang Yaner into the car step by step.
As she left the dark mountains, her condition gradually improved. She gradually returned to her normal state, but she only leaned against the window, not saying a word.
"Time to explain?" Jin Chen was unhappy and asked with a frown.
"It's not a big deal, don't take it to heart." She looked at her silhouette on the window and replied tiredly.
"Oh, I don't want to take your nonsense to heart, but as the president of J.K., is it possible that someone said that you cheated women into going deep into the mountains, committing adultery before killing them?" Jin Chen had always had a venomous tongue, and at this moment, he was no exception.
