C6 6

Mrs. Bishop revealed a scornful smile and said, "Your first day coming into Bishop's family, and you're already busy asking for benefits for your own family?"

Sara lowered her head and pleaded in a low voice, "Mrs. Bishop, please help us. I beg you."

The middle-aged woman standing by Mrs. Bishop's side said, "Miss Martin, the Bishop family will never treat their granddaughter-in- law badly, but you must keep your identity in mind." A hint of wickedness gleamed in her eyes, like a poisonous snake. "The Bishop family bought you solely to chase away Master Bishop's bad luck, so don't forget that you're just a servant. We can satisfy your demands this time. but never expect another favor from us again."

Sara could feel the unusual hostility of this woman. She had heard briefly about the family background of the Bishops. The elderly Mrs. Bishop only had a son and no daughter. However, Mrs. Bishop's nephew died young and left his orphaned daughter named Rose behind. She was raised by Mrs. Bishop and had lived in the family all these years. Therefore, Sara guessed that the woman before her was Rose.

But Sara had never met her before! She couldn't understand why Rose had a grudge against her.

Sara pursed her lips tightly as she endured the humiliation. Then, she thanked with difficulty, "... Thank you, Madam Bishop."

The Martin family was overjoyed. Lilly quickly said, "Thank you for your help, Madam Bishop!"

William's face was also full of surprise. She swiftly followed her mother's footsteps and thanked Mrs. Bishop profusely.

Yen's mood seemed to have improved. At least, Sara had been put into good use and he didn't raise her in vain for so many years.

Rose supported Mrs. Bishop as she walked, and they left. The Martin family was left behind, revelling in delight.

William looked at Sara smugly and said, "Sara, when I make a fortune in the future, I won't forget about you. You're my benefactor!"

Lilly added, "Yes, we really need to thank Sara. Without her, it's almost an impossible task to get in the king College." Lilly then looked at her well- manicured nails and said with a smile, "Don't worry, we won't stop your Grandpa's medication."

There was no expression on Sara's pretty feature. "Since you all have achieved your goal, I supposed you don't need me to send you off," she said.

She turned around and left without looking back.

When she stepped out of the door, she knew that if she sees Yen again in the future, she would no longer regard him as her father.

As Sara was depending on her memory to return, she heard a group of servants gathered behind a waterside pavilion and were gossiping. Sara would normally not take interest in these chats, but she was the topic of their discussion.

A servant sneered while snacking, "Do you know? I've heard that the family of Master Bishop's young bride came here early in the morning to ask for favors... In my opinion, they are merely a small family, not to mention the girl was born out of wedlock. Such behavior... tsk tsk."

"What's so strange about that? She was obviously bought back to chase away bad lucks, and her status is lower than us servants. But she just can't seem to figure out her place, and probably think of herself as the mistress of the Bishop's family. How shameless is that?" Another servant chided.

"Enough! How many days do you think that this girl can survive by Master Bishop's side? Madam Bishop had tried sending someone to Master Bishop, but he savagely beat them into a bloody mess at once and threw them out. What do you think will happen to the young bride? She won't be able to stay arrogant for long." A third servant added.

...Sara listened to them in a daze, feeling somewhat at loss.

She didn't care about their mockery, but... "Does Hank still hit people? To such bloody extents... is he that brutal?" Sara thought to herself.

Sara was afraid of pain, she hurriedly held herself. She wondered... If she had offended Master Bishop in any way, would she suffer the same fate?

At that moment, someone in the pavilion saw Sara and asked, "Isn't that the Young Madam?"

As soon as the servant said that, the rest of them burst into laughter.

The servant who was snacking looked at Sara provocatively and questioned her, "Is that how you have been educated, Young Madam? To eavesdrop?"

Sara answered, "...I was just passing by."

"You heard us, right?" All of the servants looked down on Sara. They left the waterside pavilion and surrounded her with malicious intent. One of them lead contemptuously, "Do you think that we were wrong?"

Sara didn't want to acknowledge them, but they got even more roused. They blocked her way and taunted, "An illegitimate child will always be an illegitimate child! We heard that your mother is a mistress, do you also want to make a name for yourself with that looks of yours?"

The group laughed and judged her. The look in Sara's eyes slowly turned frigid, but none of them noticed until a loud slap sounded.

The crowd finally quieted down.

Sara silently withdrew her hand and said, "Do you really need to be slapped to shut your mouth?"

Her appearance was so petite, looking as if she often gets bullied easily. And so, no one expected that Sara would suddenly strike at someone.

The servant who had been hit was bewildered, holding her cheek in disbelief. "How dare you hit me?! I'm one of Miss Dior's servants!"

In the Bishop family, Rose Dior was the favored child. Even her servants were superior.

Sara then answered, "Even if you're one of Mrs. Bishop's servants, I'll still slap you as I wish. Get out of my way."

The woman shouted furiously, "Sara Martin! You b*tch! How dare you hit me... Believe it or not, I'll tell Miss Dior and you'll be thrown out of the Bishop family immediately!"

"Is Miss Dior authorized to throw out Master Bishop's people?" An emotionless male voice rang out. "Did Miss Dior really take herself as the master in the Bishop family?" It asked.

Hearing the familiar voice, Sara turned around and saw Bella with Hank, who was sitting in a wheelchair, enjoying the lake scenery not far away. His side profile looked so exquisite, that he looked ethereal, like a painting.

The servants were scared out of their wits and all of them shut their mouths. If they could, they would have hidden their faces in a hole to hide from the humiliation.

Bella grinned and asked, "Why have you all stopped? Wasn't it a lively discussion just now?"

Everyone knew that Bella was Hank's most loyal subordinate, even the elderly Mrs. Bishop dared not take action against Bella. What else could the servants do? If they could, they would definitely choose to turn back the time and cut their own tongues a few minutes ago!

The servant who got slapped quibbled, "We were just chatting... but Sara... Miss Bishop suddenly appeared and hit me. I was angry, that's why I said so. Assistant, please don't be angry..."

The servant was very skilled at twisting the scenario around!

Sara opened her mouth and was ready to speak, but Hank's distant voice spoke first, "Come here."

She was dumbfounded for a moment, then walked over to him. Immediately, her hand was pinched.

Sara was shocked.

Hank's palms were large, and his knuckles were prominent. There were calluses all over from his daily holding of guns and knives all year round. His hand wrapped around hers and he gently pinched her, the calluses rubbing against her delicate skin caused a red mark to form.

The skin on Sara's arm crawled. She feared that Hank would break her hand in the next second.

"Does it hurt?" The man asked in a deep, emotionless voice Sara was confused, "Huh?"

Bella let out a sigh and explained, "Master Bishop asked if your hand hurt after hitting that servant."

Sara blushed.

Hank had seen her hitting that girl...
