On the Sunday that the first episode was finished recording, the second episode was successfully recorded. Although everyone was worried that the viewership ratings for the first episode weren't good enough, they couldn't wait until after the first episode of OA to record the second episode. If that happened, the quality of the show wouldn't be guaranteed.
