C32 There be a Sudden Stop in the Bath

Chu Qingyan walked down the stairs that Kang Wenyuan provided her with in a daze.

"Yes, he was bitten by a mosquito."

She was afraid that she would be tongue-tied if she said such shameless words.

Any adult should know the difference between a kiss mark and a mosquito bite. Kang Wenyuan was indeed one of those people in the shopping mall. His ability to lie without opening his eyes was much better than hers.

Kang Wenyuan didn't even have a bucket of water, so he could only use a cup to pick up the water from the water purification system to wash her eyes. The water purification system's water storage tank wasn't big, but it wasn't good enough to wash one's hair and eyes.

Chu Qingyan was already satisfied with the amount of shampoo she had in her eyes. She wrapped her frothy hair with a towel and waited for the water to come before she continued washing.

She rubbed her itchy eyes and prepared to go back to her room to apply the facial mask. Kang Wenyuan picked up the empty bucket and said, "I'll go out and see if I can get some water."

"Sure, go ahead!" Chu Qingyan waved her hand and went back to her room.

As soon as she entered, she heard the faint ringing of a cell phone. She took out her cell phone from her bag and hung up. The first name that came out of her missed call was impressively — Lee Jingyu.

She dialled back hesitantly. He was on the phone, probably calling me.

Chu Qingyan quickly hung up the phone and waited for him to call. Sure enough, a few seconds later, his phone call came in.

"Hello, Director Lee. Is something the matter?"

"Why are you Director Lee again? Director Lee is shouting now, call me Lee Jingyu."

"That's more like it!" He smiled in satisfaction. "What are you doing?"

Chu Qingyan purposely misinterpreted his words and answered boldly, "I'm talking to you on the phone!"

The laughter in his voice was mixed in with the waves, "Hur hur, I mean what were you doing before?"

"Oh, I was taking a bath just now and suddenly stopped water. I'm still covered in foam!"

Chu Qingyan subconsciously lowered her head and pulled down the towel slightly. The kiss mark on Lee Jingyu's chest entered her eyes and seemed to tremble with every beat of her heart.

The other end of the phone suddenly fell silent. She thought that the signal was bad. Just as she wanted to ask Lee Jingyu if he could hear her, his gentle voice sounded in her ears: "Can you come out? I'll wait for you by the roadside."

"You're here?" Chu Qingyan asked in surprise.

Lee Jingyu said with a smile, "Yes, I'm at the entrance of your residential complex".

Before he finished his sentence, there was a buzzing sound beside her ear. Her heart started beating rapidly. Even though she was in the room, her thoughts had already drifted away. Lee Jingyu's handsome face couldn't be forgotten.

Chu Qingyan didn't say anything for a long time. He then asked with uncertainty, "Can you come out?"

After a moment of silence, an invisible hand seemed to grab her throat. She took a deep breath and spoke with difficulty, "I'm afraid I can't do it now. My hair is full of foam. I stopped water before I washed up!"

He suddenly came to a realization and said, "Oh, I'll wait for you. When is the water coming? Wash it before you come out."
