C5 Chapter Five

CHAPTER FIVE

KYLE'S POV

I completely loose it when Luna shuts her eyes and her hand slides away from mine. I watch blankly as the nurses take her into the emergency room. I'm about to call doctor George when but I stop when I see him rush into the emergency ward with other doctors. I walk helter skelter about the corridor totally confused and frustrated. She was perfectly okay yesterday. She had taken down all the financial records of the day and presented to me and she didn't even show any sign of ill health. We even had dinner at our parents place and she had entertained them with complains about how I always beg her to put on my cufflinks every morning in my office.

I love my baby sister despite the fact that she annoys the hell out of me sometimes. I have adored her from the day she was born. I was five years old. I can still remember how I cuddled her in my arms and refused to let her go when my father took me to the hospital. Every night at home I would sneak into her bedroom and watch her sleep her crib. Sometimes I had to wake her up so we could play and surprisingly she didn't always cry, she always just smiled and that would make me happy.

To me, she's the most beautiful and fragile girl that's why I'm over-protective of her. My sister means so much to me than she can ever imagine and I don't think I can take if something bad happens to her. The thought of calling my parents cross my mind but I decide not to call them just yet. They are going to blow things out of proportion and I don't want that. Right now I'm trying not to do that myself.

"Mr. Kyle" A nurse calls and I rush to her.

"How is my sister?" I ask eagerly.

"The doctors are still working on her, I have been asked to take you to the private suite where you can wait"

She says calmly and I heave out a sigh of frustration. This is really not the time for special treatment. I understand that I am a powerful and famous man but right now my sister's life is on the line. I do not care about special offers and treatment.

"I will just wait out here"

"Are you ... " She starts to talk but I cut her off.

"I am sure you heard me clearly, now leave!" I order and she staggers away confused. I don't know why but I feel so bad for snapping at her the way I did. She looked just about my sister's age and I wouldn't appreciate anyone talking to my sister in such a rude manner.

I have to apologize to her.

ONE HOUR LATER.

The moment the emergency room door opens and Doctor George walks out, I rush to him and he seems startled to see me.

"Mr. Kyle" He calls surprised.

"How's Luna?" I ask gasping for breath. I'm so nervous that I can't breathe properly.

"Kyle you need to calm down, your sister is fine"

"Fine then why did she faint?" I ask in total disbelieve.

"We have located the cause of that and trust me it is nothing for you to be worried about"

"You mean she is perfectly okay?"

"Yes Mr. Kyle, she only fainted because she is stressed out which is not good for her because she is expecting".

The word "expecting" rings in my ears like a loud church bell. I look at Doctor George with a confused expression.

"Expecting as in she is pregnant?" I ask confused.

"Yes, we found out that you sister is eight weeks pregnant.

"Oh..." Is all I can say.

"Uh... Tiana" He calls a nurse who happens to be passing by. It is the same nurse I had been rude to a while ago. "Please show Mr. Kyle to his sister's ward"

"Okay Doctor George"

"If you would excuse Mr. Kyle, I need to get to my office"

"Of course Doctor, go ahead" The doctor leaves and I turn to the nurse and she immediately bows down her head.

I like her.

"This way please" She leads me into Luna's ward .

"I'll take my leave now" She says as she turns to go but I hold her back. I need to apologize.

"Tiana" I call and she looks at me surprised. "Don't look at me like that, I heard Doctor George call you Tiana."

"Sorry" She says softly.

"No, I am sorry for being rude to you earlier. I wasn't in my right mind, I'm sincerely sorry"

"It's okay Mr. Kyle, I understand"

"So we are cool now right?"

"Yeah" She says nodding"

"Alright then, thank you"

"It really is nothing" She says with a tiny but very cute smile. Her charming dimples don't go unnoticed. Her brown starling eyes are gorgeous and I have this urge to touch her smooth black hair. She's so beautiful that it hurts me to think that I was rude to her earlier. I don't know why, but I ask her a very silly question.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" I ask out of nowhere and she shoots me a confused glance.

"Excuse me?"

"Forget that I asked that question. Where is your cell phone?"

"My... Cellphone?" She asks confused.

"Yeah, where is it?"

"It's right here" She says as she takes it out from her pocket.

"Good" I take the phone and dial my number in it and when my phone rigs in my tux jacket, I smile in satisfaction.

Gotcha!

"I will call you Tiana and make sure to answer"

"I will be waiting" She says as she flashes me her million dollar smile and I feel butterflies rise in my stomach. This is something new, why I'm I suddenly excited?. I feel like a werewolf who has just found his mate.

"Excuse Mr. Kyle, I have to attend to other patients" She says as she leaves the ward.

"Just wait until I make you mine, then you will only have to attend to me" I say with a cocky smile.

"I heard that" I turn around abruptly and freeze when I see Luna wide awake. I'd be damned if she just saw all what happened.

"You are supposed to be resting"

"How can I?. When your deep voice keeps raiding my mind and disturbing my peaceful sleep"

"You know you shouldn't be so relaxed after scaring the hell out of me a while ago" I say as I walk towards her bed and sit by her side.

I look at her carefully and I still cannot believe that she is pregnant and doesn't even know yet. I'm happy but the same time sad because her ex-boyfriend, Seven is the one responsible for her pregnancy and I didn't like him at all because he always neglected her. The day she broke up with him at she was my house and I had to stay up with her all night so she wouldn't harm herself and now she's pregnant for him. I wonder how she going to take the news. The next time I meet Seven I swear I'll give him a hard punch in the face for giving my baby sister such a hard time.
